Look at all the heavy-weights in Japanese music: Utada Hikaru, Hamasaki Ayumi, m-Flo, SMAP and BoA. Yet, Utada is th eonly one to release a Western-based albums. Even these had more listeners in Japan then in the States. As for Kazami, I have been listening to Japanese music for 10 years now and living in Japan currently. this is my first time hearing her.

@Zzozze This song was featured in the ending of episode 17 in Samurai Champloo. The credits said that the music was arranged by Tsutchie, however this version in Kazami's music video sounds a lot more bubblegum-pop than the Champloo version. It's hard to explain the difference but listening to the two versions can sum it up in itself. Bottom line, Tsutchie may not have arranged this version but he definitely arranged the other. Personally, I like the Champloo version better. :]
