Notice the citizen woman who was speaking had done her homework. If only Congress would read it.
It's heartening to see a congressman who will oppose this bill. I'm not so fortunate in my district in Massachusetts. At Niki Tsongas' meeting on Aug 8 that I attended, I estimate the protesters outnumbered the pro-Obamacare folks 2:1 but Ms. Tsongas is going to support it anyway.
The majority do not want this bill. I hope it dies and can be replaced with one that is truly good for America.
I hate to tell you but reading the bill does no good at all. The only reason any of these people are informed is because there have been a few lawyers that have decoded the bill in normal English. I've read most of the bill and it is so damn confusing that I found a guide on the internet on what some of the sentences mean. We live in historic times. I hope we can make history and beat this crap back.
I commend the lady for reading the bill if she in fact did but she misunderstood the point made on pg. 16 of HR3200. What it actually says is that your current plan at it's current lower standards will be protected. You can keep it the way it is. However, HR 3200 sets new (higher) standards and the insurance companies will not be allowed to sign up new members at the lower standard. That is all it says.
How is this citizen woman informed? She said "end of life counseling in lieu of medical treatment." The "in lieu of medical treatment" is entirely made up in her part. Where did she get this? Rush Limbaugh? Glenn Beck?
This lady and Congressman John Shadegg need to do there home work and not make up statements that are not true at all.
