With the exception of songs like Air Forces, Late Night Tip, Oxycotton etc etc..that are heavily mixed for mostly bass, with proper tuning you can really get heavy bass and still hear those mids given the EQ's in the production are actually in the song to be found ;)

Matting, gaskets and foaming all the panels and the trunk add a night and day difference to quality as well...

My mids and highs drown out, But that on a video, Everything is balanced in my car, I actually have my system setup to have more mids and highs than bass. Sounds alot cleaner that way

@andrewc2002 Fair enough. But I agree with you, I need a balance. I listen to a lot of metal in my car...I have it tuned to hit fairly low, but then even most of the songs I have are more punchy bass than really low hertz.

But I have an 07 Corrola...needless to say = mostly plastic. It was night and day difference after I matted my whole trunk, and sealed the lid down with foam. Overall, really makes the bass more smooth - still loud, but more of a harnessed sound.

The vibration from my sub made the rivets for holding the boot hanger/arms that hold it, eventually loosened them that much that one day when I opened the trunk the rivets pulled through the metal now the bootlid is loose when opened and can be pivoted, basiclly it's fu**ed!!
