found this game downloaded into an old xbox. i like this game, i understand most of it but dont get how to keep the crew fucking happy ($50,000 and still pissed at me) and kept getting sick. any ideas before i break the dam thing.

well i got a ship with 40 cannons right from the start, i got lucky and cought one after leaving florida keys, it was called new battleship or something

Keep attacking a nation until they put up a prize of atleast 30.000 on your head. But don't do it near their capitals since that will make them lose wealth. Only a town that is both wealthy and a capital can send one. I'm not sure if the destination must be a wealthy capital aswell. They don't appear until 1640 so make sure to be playing 40's, 60's or 80's. It's easy to get them in the 80's since alot of pirate hunters spawn there. The towns around the Virgin Islands tend to become rich enough.

i have a prize on my head around 40,000 gold from spain on regular circustances in 1648, and the only ship-of-the-line ive seen was english, who i have strongest support for(they promoted me to duke before 1645), so i couldnt attack them, could i?

Being promoted to duke by a nation is a perfect opportunity to really start attacking their ships. You can even go into their harbors and sell the upgraded ships for extra profit. Taking a warship has no consequenses really. You cannot be degraded. All that happens is you lose credit = extra acres of land. So make sure to collect that first from their governors. If you lose all credit, they may send pirate hunters but that will only happen if you never do anything good for them.

if you regularly attack England's enemies, there is no problem taking a ship of the line from them. The next English governor you talk to will first name your good doings and then say that that he's heard about that ship of the line incident. You say your regrets and thats it. You will not be rewarded for your good actions until your good work for the English have compensated for the assault. But dont worry, governors are quite forgiving.

@Thrym865 the french put a prize of my head for 60,000 but i dont see any of it. I even attack the town, sunk their ship and intercepted an invasion force

@DarkLordz20 You must provoke one of their wealthy capitals to send a pirate hunter SOL. But don't attack the wealthy capital itself as that will make it go down to a prosperous capital that can no longer spawn SOLs.

@DarkLordz20 I never harass the French that badly and I still met not one but 2 ships of the line. Just sail around the wealthy ports take out one or two merchant ships along the way and v. soon there'll be SOTLs sailing around as a display of military might. I ever had a SOTL pirate hunter, they wee mostly carrying troops.
