LCV CDL drivers in Canada or atleast Alberta must follow these rules :
1) zero% drugs or alcohol in blood stream
2) zero points or demerits on personal licence minuim 3 years
3) Truck must pass CVIP inspection twice a year and driver MUST have all current A,B,C inspections and services in truck for review .
UPS FedEx run tripples every day . lawblaws runs turnpikes every on the hyway . I see lots for truck in the ditch and many cars as well . never have i seen a LCV in the ditch .
@warrawombat Yeah but the difference here in the US is most people cant drive a car. Most car/truck accidents are the car drivers fault., even with stats and data to back this up, the states and feds want to crack down on trucks even more. I think ALL drivers should be held to higher standards, car drivers should be required to pass driving tests, drug tests and physicals just as truckers are required too. The highways should would be lonely.
Welcome to the propaganda that the US railway corporations push every time a new transportation bill comes up in the Congress. Talk about a bunch of self-serving fear mongers...
HEY JACKASSES trucks weigh 80000 pounds they CANT stop on a dime THEY HAVE TO GO SLOWER THAN TRAFFIC FOR SAFTEY hell they fuckin haul ur food damn near to ur fuckin fridge GIVE THE TRUCKERS SOME DAMN RESECT ON THE ROAD GOD DAMN delete this if u want but trucks need room to haul ur goods that U comsume each and every day they will need to add more weight and lcv's CUZ UR DEMAND for products GROWS too FUCKIN RETARDS
look if u dont like driveing ner trucks then get the fuck off the rd and and next time u go to the shops dont buy anythine coz it might have been on a b double road train we have much heavyer and longer trucks in australia and thay run fine on the rds
nothing wrong with the trucks its the drivers i drove road traind or as you called them turnpike doubles for years and they dont sway constantly if you dric=ve then corectly so dont comment if you dont have a clue what ya talking about
information is too old. Not relevant to todays trucks and laws. Accidents happen no matter what kind of vehicle it is. having the driver purposely cut corners too sharp to have the trailer hit the curb isnt gonna help your cause either. quit your bitching and stay out of the way!
Another thing I must add, what can we ship stuff on other than trucks? Does every store in the world have their own airport, boat dock, or train station? Nope. And do you think Stores like Wal-mart is willing to raise prices by 200% so that they can afford around 40 vans per store so that they can get your products in for you to buy? Nope.
This video is all around pointless. I'm sorry, but I have zero sympathy for families of drunk drivers and idiots that are stupid enough to pull out in front of a trucker. It sickens me that it's always the fault of the trucker when stuff happens when in reality it's the drunks, tailgaters, and morons that feel the need to not look at what they are doing. Most of the best drivers I know of has been or is currently a trucker. If it's bigger than you, give it room, it's as simple as that..
I work for a company that pulls doubles and triples and we have many 1 million mile safe drivers, and 2 million, the record i believe is 4 million safe driving miles pulling doubles.Compare that to swift or jb hunt only pulling one trlr....Its all baout the quality of drivers...good pay=good drivers!
it wouldnt matter what evidence was shown indicating a large vehicle was considered safe the poster of these vids will never believe it. and hell yeah to PaulieMac77
This has got to be the biggest propaganda film I've ever seen. Hell I drive these combinations every day. They are NOT unsafe. Anyone with a camera can film an occasional screw-up, and accidents do happen on occasion, but think of the hundreds of millions of safe miles between accidents. Do we stop the airlines because of one crash?
If so, your comment is propaganda as well. Yes, under ideal conditions, these combinations are not overly unsafe. However, simple common sense suggests they are not particularly safe in the real world of far less than ideal conditions - heavy traffic, high speeds, tight turns, strong winds, bad weather, and so on. Why are you refusing to acknowledge that basic reality?
imo this vid is rubish the car drivers never think about the trucks braking distance when they pass em get right in front of em and brake like there life depends on it (happends more than u think) that's an accedant waiting to happen than on the news its gonna be sold like its the truck drivers fault drive to close on the car...
Great video, If you need any help getting your videos or channel exposed, i use a service called thetubeviews . net it has helped 5 of my videos get ranked on the first page

The problem is the american style doubles.
They need to be like our B-doubles, the dollys are dangerous in a combination like that.

This video is ignorant and extremely biased. Why don't you take your 80's VHS scare tape and shove it.

What year is this video from?

I remember that ABC story, it was even more one-sided than is normal for them.
That guy in the Jeep was bucking for a Darwin Award by cutting off a set of triples.
Refresh my memory, what is the percentage of car-truck accidents that are the car's fault. 70-75%, I think it was.
So who are you representing, the AAR or the trial lawyers?
