  • G...looks like the girls are having a blast without TV!!!!! good for you man!!

  • don't tread on me

  • I'll never forget camping with my daughters Campfire troupe at Lake Nacimento one summer and the girls coming back from a short hike with a story of finding "baby rattle snakes" and how cute they were. The reason they returned was to get a container to catch them in. No fear..a perfect opportunity to teach them about venomous snakes. The "catching" part was nipped in the bud.

  • Never step back if you see a snake, move to the side. If you step back, they see that as aggressive. I learned to trap rattlers with my bare hands as a kid and also how to transport honey bees in my bare hands without being stung. Wear boots, carry a stick, and stay out of their environments. We have deadly vipers here in France. They snooze on rocks in weeds so we just don't go into those places. My father in law killed one and I was so angry with him. They are protected here.

  • those are NASTY

  • Good Dad G4T , time spent now will keep kids on right path

  • The show was Venom ER on the animal planet channel

  • If you never watched a show on discovery channel about snake bites, you should watch it. I am not sure of the name of the show. Its about the guy who is a doctor and a snake specialist. He treats people when the come to the ER for snake bites in Arizona. You get a snake bite it really messes you up. It real easy to overlook a snake under a rock ledge. I don't live in snake country, but I've been doing stuff and come within a few feet of stepping on them. Snakes that don't move are bad news

  • Your children are PRECIOUS!!!!! GOD bless you and your family!

  • Non-venomous

  • That is a rosy boa. They are native to California.

  • @tychampfight3r thanks

  • That's a great nature lesson for the kids. Are ALL those kids yours?

  • @roargathor Temp was a little over and a little under 60 today in Riverside.

  • I knew there had to be some snakes out there....if they are not rattlers you are good

  • Rosie is such a cutie:) G4T you should learn to catch them skin them and eat them, i hear they taste just like chicken.
