  • Why does slowing down work so effectively to interrupt habits? Exasperated, one's habitual mind declares, "Faster- Faster! We already have a program for this!" The slow speed bores the previous training, causing one's habits to give up in huffy disgust. Underneath our perceptual assumptions is our innate coordination that we covered up with all that skill-building & training. It's so cool how easier coordination lurks to respond underneath habitual compensations.
