  • now here is video I never get tired of watching over and over again, these are such great people!

  • nice! how do you have learn to speak english?

  • But yet stiil I LOVE AND FASCINATED

WITH JAPAN! STILL! ahhh TKOYO JAPAN! I HEART U STILL!

  • Hmmm,....Wonder why Doujinshi is a Shame for? hmm?

  • Well, it's not a shame, it was a shame that he couldn't find anything good.

Muraji: "There wasn't anything good in there."

    Jesse: "That's too bad."

Sorry, our translations back in the day were sort of half-assed. ;)

  • OH! Thanks for Clearing up! LOL Half Assed! LOL HOW YOU DOING JESHI-SAN? Yor Videos ARE WLWAYS INSPIRING.

  • lol, I'm fine! I'm glad you enjoy them! I only made one video this year, but I have some more ideas. Thank you for watching.

  • Your Welcome. NICE.

  • After watching this again I can't help but feel changed, Ya know? What he said I believe truly to the word and heart. It was this video that me think really hard about my future. It is peopel like him that helps others at teh expense of himself and that is something Truly deserving of learning LIFE from. WHat he said onyly even moe backs up my way of life. He is an True OTAKU. he may say a Waste of Space but without him how can we learn REAL OTAKU meaning? Arigato Gozaimasu Otaku. ARIGATO OTAKU

  • This is the Real Definition of OTAKU. Respect IT and Learn from It WELL.

  • Comment removed

  • It's videos like these that explores the truth of each lifestyle to prepare one for the reality of each subculture. Takes one to know one.

  • Very interesting interview at the middle. It gives a good understanding on how japanese feel about geeky hobbies.

  • Fucking awkward lol

  • whats the best and easy way of learning Japanese

  • Grab a book and study. There is no Easy way

  • Take classes, practice, and keep at it.

  • Look around the internet and sign up for a Certain Japanese Learning Academy

  • otaku 4 life

  • Although I am a Japanese, I cannot understand at all. Please do not use the "Japanese spirit" imprudently. The "nerd" who says in Japan is not a good meaning. To me, an understanding is forever impossible.

  • Our videos are a celebration of Japan; we do not mean to demean it. Please do not misunderstand.

  • I am sorry Explanation of my comment was insufficient. This is the cautions to the language which "the Japanese boy" has cried for in the image. It is not a comment towards you. I'm sorry if it had misunderstanding

  • I feel sorry for the guy. I don't think he should be so hard on himself. You may be human trash to society, but to God , you're still something.

  • that's ridiculous, God loves everyone

  • What god

  • The Flying Spaghetti Monster of course. Accept no substitutes!

  • i dont know what kind of god your following...

    hungry??

  • so they moved to Ikebukoro lol, if Densha Otoko, didn't come on, then no one would have known the full lifestyle of Otaku. I think that show was made to get Otaku out of their lifestyles, even though it was a 'true' story.

  • 04:03 xDDDDDDDDDDD

  • haha, I love Akiba! It's so strange. You guys should've gone to Super Potato.

  • I think this whole "human trash" feeling he's talking about is really terrible. Who gives a shit what other people think? be geek and be proud, there's no shame in being passionate about your interests. and kudos to that cosplay guy with the green hair. it takes guts to live your life YOUR way in a world full of posers, cowards and haters.

  • I have nothing against anyone liking anime. Because I also like anime. I am fan, but I am not an over obess fan of anime. Too much of anything is bad for you, and too less of anything for you is bad. You shouldn't let your hobbies get the best of you. Now I understand how the word Otaku is offive to some. There's nothing wrong about being a geek or a nerd. You just need to balance yourself.

  • @Lynnianaa, they sound like more like Emos, you know how Emos are not liked here.

  • I don't get it, what's so wrong about liking something , and being passionate about it. I understand that you need control over it, but I don't think there is anything wrong with being obsessed with something, especially when everything else is so boring

  • I am a young otaku, when i am not at school i mainly stay at home or am in Akihabara. i like manga, anime, and computers.

  • Jeek is not the same as Otaku. The light novel is an Otaku novel without the content. Many of Otaku is a society suitable people. This hobby is their prides. However, the people who makes the Otaku culture is socially excellent man. A lot of creators dislike them.

  • Yes, I wish we could all be socially excellent men! And it is easier to the casual viewer to think of Otaku as a geek, even though the truth is deeper than that.

  • The freak in the mask talks complete sense. I completely agree with everything he said

  • Whoa. dude. this video is quite good and all, just it freaked me out. i am a very dedicated otaku, but that cross-dresser at the end FUCKED WITH MY HEAD. >_>

  • i am otaku during summer days.. but school days? naahh.. i dont have time to watch anime but i surf

  • max nerdum i love it

  • That was cool. Triple gave a lot to think about to the "geek" crowd. Though, I wish you would have told him it wasn't true that he was "Human Trash", Jeshi. Still, good interview.

  • That guy is kinda bitter, although he's got a point. I think it depends on the individual, like anime and women arent mutually exclusive, and although I'm not really a huge anime fan I think that liking anime doesnt make you a hikikomori.

  • damn, this is just sad

  • I feel bad for the old guy, he needs to call a suicide hotline.

  • I think that masked guy should call up the following suicide hotline:

    watch?v=qEdsUeq6xoY

  • Damn I think I will have to take his advice and not watch so much anime and jdramas. Its kind of getting out of control with having access to youtube now. I also can relate with your friends getting married and moving.

  • why aint he having a job?

and without a job he aint got money and without money, how can he afford otaku stuff like anime and manga?

or is he still living at his parents?

but these questions arent rude,I just want to know how he can hold him self oevr the water without sinking?(german proverb):wie kann er sich über wasser halten ohne job?

  • He probably does what a lot of other unemployed people do: live off benefits from the government.

  • triple combo is speaking a lot...jesse is having a lot of patients(I hope I've written it right)

  • the potion stuff was genious!

  • triple combo is cool. i really mean it, he looks like a taliban.

  • I love you too. :P

  • I think he made a very good as a interviewer

  • Yeah...a little worried for that bloke :\

He doesn't seem happy at all.

But the guy in the 'Midori-kiwa' green maid costume at the end was priceless, being all girly then saying "cheers mate" with his powerful mop XD

  • man, that guy seemed so depressed. "Human Trash", fuck, i really hope he was messing about. I don't like seeing people that depressed because they've been looked down at. Great show man, btu that part just made me feel abit depressed.

  • No, he wasn't kidding. Otaku/maniacs/A-boys are considered 'dame ningen' (dregs of humanity) by both the mainstream and otaku themselves. Face it, otaku aren't exactly the most beautiful people in the world, and they sure aren't socialable. Hence, "Human Trash."

Watch/read Welcome to the NHK. It will show you the truth.

  • I think he was serious...

  • NHK Ni Youkoso does kinda speak the truth for most, sadly. That guy kinda reminds me of Satou with his pessimism. Sure is alot different here, where most anime fans at least support themselves...

  • NHK ni Youkoso is one of my all-time favourite anime! After watching this video, it seems like Satou really was a realistic representation of otaku after all.

  • TT _ TT Very insightful, good information from one oh the OGs ( Original Geeks/Otakus) nice episode!

  • this episode and the previous were my favorite episodes so far because we get to see you interacting with people on a more casual (tho, they were having drinks in the previous ep), or equal level. in the interview, Triple Combo is a bit serious, right? but it's more like he's letting you in on a secret than lecturing or responding to interview questions. very cool

  • LOL triple Combo owns :p.

  • LOL at the guy dressing up as a digi charat character

  • Triple Combo is the man.

  • Yes, insightful his wisdom of geek. ^^

  • wow that was very insightful and interesting, for sure a very good show.

  • Great :D Please, keep uploading more vids like this!
