I am floored by people excusing her mother. The word enable means, "To supply with the means, knowledge, or opportunity; make able." Her mother was convicted as an enabler and she was. She left her child in the care of a man who killed her! The mother brought the man into her daughter's life and enabled him to sexually and physically abuse her daughter and then kill her. Think how this story could be if mom had never left her daughter in his care! She did not want this, but she did enable it!
