Very nice video! The music was a nice change from the lame narrations found in other videos. The visual instruction was perfect, no narration required, and the finishing and finished product are simple yet elegant.
I got my loom at Walmart; it was on an endcap with other gift ideas for kids that were under $10.00. The beads that came with it are pretty useless, but the loom is fine. Too bad I already had removed my work from the loom before I saw this video, I did it the hard way! Thanks again.
I can not tell you just how much this helped me! I've made I don't know how many pieces on my bead loom and I never could figure out a good, secure way to finish them and all the other instructions on the web don't have any visuals to make it clear what you should do so I always wound up having to recycle the beads into another piece.
I like this! I have a question though, I saw a girl with a beaded bracelet like this, but it was on a metal cuff. Like, the cuff was completely covered in leather and the beads were sewn to the leather. I guess it is the same process with the leather but you have to make a "sock" for the metal cuff to slip into the leather?
I see...I do loom bead work also & have found that the seed beads I use are never the same size. Which causes a problem when you are doing this kind of work. Are Delica beads more the same size then regular seed beads? Because in the video I see you picking up the beads very quickly and not looking to see if they are the same size.

Great video. Love the music. This was really helpful. I've been beading for a few years, but haven't tried the loom yet. I have one, but, like another poster said, I'm kinda scared of it. Thanks so much for this video!
i loved how clear this video was! I've doen one piece off loom and convinced myself to buy a loom so this was reallu helpful! I do have one question though, if i decided to add a button on something like this...how and where do you think it would go???
I'm just starting to do some beadwork and I'm having trouble getting my columns of beads real tight/close together. There just seems to gaps between the beads on the left and right. I don't know if it's because the beads I've been trying to use are all kinda different sizes and shapes or what. Can any one help me?
What if you don't want a backing, the beads are pretty and it would be nice to be reversible. How do you tie it off and add a clasp without adding the backing?
I agree with Moiranne, I don't want a backing either and would like to learn the best way to weave strands back - so they are invisible when finished. can you help?
I do like your instructions though as an alternative...
@Moiranne2 I'd think if you took each strand and wove it to the middle of the end you are working with then stick a clasp on to the needle and then thread the strand through the bracelet beads to secure it would be okay.
Then work the next strand to the middle, through the clasp, through the bracelet and repeat, the next, etc... Perhaps knotting them inconspicuously through it to make sure it stays secure. It might take more time but I think it might work.
Excellent video and instruction!! Thanks for posting it! I should have left my last project in the loom like Stardust200141 did-(LOL) she was terrified to take it off the loom. I removed mine and had hundreds of beads running all over the floor. They're still stuck in the baseboards. I've been staring at the loom for over a year now since then. Best video I've seen yet. And I LOVE the music too! Definitely added to the enjoyment of the video! I can't wait to check out your website after this.
Too funny!!! Beads in the baseboards! I have hardwood floors and lots of beads in my baseboards! Thanks for the kind words and compliments. Happy Holidays.
First, let me thank UntilWeBeadAgain for this fantastic and enormously helpful video. It makes me feel much less intimidated about trying bead looming.
As for the music, your video host may have to check me on this, but the first part of the video really sounds like Bela Fleck (don't know the song), and the second part is Nickel Creek "When You Come Back Down"...which is from their great first album.
Sorry, my mistake on the music! I'm amazed that Nickel Creek are such great musicians that they could fool me like that.....being anywhere near on par with Bela Fleck is astonishing.
But, I'm off the subject....forgive me, UWBA. You are not only a super-talented bead artist, but you have great musical taste as well!
that was awesome! i love to play the piano, so i might just try your design on my loom. one question though, how did you make the bracelet round? i mean, what did you use to close the two ends together without it showing? please get back to me soon, i want to start asap on it too finish it by school this year. please and thank you for inspiring me to drag my loom out again. your way to take the finished piece off is genious, i would've never thought of that. i was trying to do it the hard way.
I added the snaps to the bracelet. Too quick and easy for a video. All you have to do is add snaps just like you were adding them to a piece of clothing. I promise it works great.
Hi, this is good instruction. I have a homemade loom made w/2 pocket combs for the thread guides. I used it once then gave up. Might try again soon. When whipstitching on the sides do you go "thru" any of the edge beads or just over/between the edge thread? Thanks again
Thanks for sharing this! I have a wristlet on my loom for 3 years now. I'm just terrified to take it off! lol I think I'm going to dust off that loom and make more! Right after I remove the old one with your technique...
Wow you are quick, I had it up maybe 10 minutes! I will have your keyboard pattern up on my website in a few more days. I have been busy learning how to throw pottery. My hands look rough and my arms are killing me but, I am having a blast. Watch for new things made out of clay for beaders.
if you aren't using a backing that is sticky how do you attach it ?
