I fitted a 2nd blowoff valve that works on pressure it stays open until i get up to 2 lbs pressure then it closes this stops the turbos from stalling against each other at cruise when you get up it it closes and then it comes on boost all good cheers ps the blowoff valve is modified it work on pressure
wow, that sounds amazing. i love it how with a well built motor ya can hear every single piece of the machine running together, good on you mate...i found your video cause i was looking for some hq premier burnouts n that, i loved th sound of those 308 going balls out
@bobonnwoof 350 is not a big block, factory big block for chevy starts at 396 cubic inches. although aftermarket companys make a 454 small block which is crazy. chevy small blocks are......... 283,302,305,327,350,400,.......chevy big blocks are........ 396,402,427,454,502, these are factory block sizes. by the way 308 is a holden engine.
WOW!!! i have been looking for a turbo setup on a carb for a long time and i saw this. do you mind explaining how this works. i own an 82 montecarlo and i have always wanted to do this or at least picture what a carburetor whith some turbos looked like.thanks
Nice job but I wood piss them copper oil lines off that will brake on you and you don't won't to run dry of oil will fk the motor and turbos! Trust me I fount out the hard way few yrs back cheers
i had to extend the air horns up into the airstreem to get it rich enough then jet it back to suit i am running 14 ld of boost it was a bit of tryal and error i used a fast fuel air meter i could not have done it without it i have changed the turbos now to t3t4 it is a little laggy but goes great up top i can get wheel spin at 100 k now good fun cheers
How hard was it to tune the carb to suit boost? I know you need a blow-through system to run carbs with boost. But mainly, how hard was it to tune to like daily use with decent boost? Also what did you do?
i ran a brand new demon on my 308 and had nothing but trouble. swapped it for a 750 mechanical secondary and got a wopping 429 hp on the dyno straight out of the box.
are you using a high pressure efi fuel pump with a boost sensitive pressure regulator? it wont work unless you keep your fuel pressure above your boost pressure, intercooler would give your pistons a better life span and a bit more power.... good luck.
awsome ride! Obviously it runs very well, but I how well does the carburetor work under boost? I thought that running a positive pressure through a carb would force the fuel back through the jets. I would love to do something like this and if you have any tips I would love to hear them.
i have got a hq ute 308 and i was wanting to twin turbo it for a while now just waiting to fund it. how much has it cost you so far and have you done much internal work. its looking really good. when can we have more vids cheers mate
750 demon the turbos are off a single turbo 300 z i have only been to a test and tune so far the carby was leaning out so i could not do a full pass i am running 10 lbs boost it was good in the burnout ran 15 at 60 mph backed off at half track
sounds promising i am tossing up to either turbo or just shove some gas down the throat of my ss track car, so your lean out is it fuel pressure or just jet sizing do you think.
around 500 yet to dyno can smoke them at 100 k
