  • Nice man! Was the turntable difficult to install. I'm kinda dreading setting it up on mine.

  • @indie1361 It installed rather easy. The indexing is simple to program, too.

  • i love the prr k-4 pacific engines i have one postwar prr k-4 passenger set that lionel made for two years in 1948-49 mines the 1949 model i like how the boilers on the k-4 engines are the same looking as the turbine steam engines i still think if the prr had taking more time and made more ajustments when makeing the #6200 turbine steam engine it would have been great engines thay only had issue with it over heating running below 30 mph other then that it was realy nice i love my turbine sets

  • when you put together the roundhouse, does it come in one order or can you put it in whatever order you would like?

  • @efreet7611 Any order you like. You can extend stalls, too.

  • Is the shed that size or are you assembling two of the bachman three stall sheds

  • @TheUnionpacific4008 This is a Walthers 3 stall modern roundhouse(mfg# 933-2900) with an additional 3 stall kit added on. a total of 6 stalls

  • cool vid m8 got that turn table and round house , its sweet ay

  • how long ago did you get your k4? i can't find any new one with the tuscan red roof and tender

  • @fallingup90 I can;t remember when I got that engine. It was off of Ebay. It had to have been within the past 5yrs.

  • hi, how did u get electricity to the stalls?

  • I just ran a buss wire from the main terminal strip to the yard tracks and the tracks circling the turntable. Then I just dropped feeders down and used suitcase connectors to attach them together. Any of the polarity reversing that is done all happens on the turntable bridge, not in the roundhouse tracks

  • Great video

  • mad kewl ron i seriously want to go on a ride now havent been on a train in so long the modle looks awsom

  • Was it hard to install the turntable?

  • I am in the process of installing my table right now and could use some help. I know very little about DCC right now (am learning), but wondering if you could give me some pointers for things I should do during the installation process to make things easy to convert for full DCC control down the road. Looks great by the way!!

    Jack

  • Nice Video Ron. Could you make a video of an engine pulling out of the roundhouse?

  • how long of a train can that roundhouse hold? could it hold a allegheny?

  • This is a quote from the description of Walther's Modern Roundhouse 933-2900

*Holds Engines up to 125 Scale Feet Long

*Includes Stall for Bigger Engines up to 145 Scale Feet Long

    And the measurements...

    Measures: Standard Building: 17-3/4 x 16 x 5-1/2" 44.3 x 40 x 13.7cm With Extended Stall: 20-1/8" 50.3cm Long Pit Depth: 5/16" .78cm

  • It looking pretty nice man Cant wait to get mine for christmas!

  • How is the sound in the K4

  • I used the Soundtraxx DSD-101LC decoder in the Bachmann Spectrum. It was an easy install and the sound is good quality for the money.

  • check my layout out. i only have one video so far

  • PENNSY RULES!!

  • how hard is it to build the roundhouse?

  • It's not that hard. What took the longest is to onstall the lighting, but that was something I added in sepperate from the main kit.

  • is that an MTH or Bachmann k4?

  • nevermind... just read the description...

    Sounds nice....

  • I see you have a Round house & turntable.

  • Any updates ?

    1 month :D

  • Wow!! I have been watching you progrees for a while now and I am so glad you have posted some updates..I am the one you sent the XtrackCAD to. It took a while but I tweeked it enough to fit in my space.. I am starting the bench work. Thanks again for the updates..

  • Hey TJ,

Sign up on the modelrailroadforums . com I belong to and post some of those pix of your benchwork. I would love to see your progress and how you modified the plan.

  • Nice layout! I think you have an excellent trackplan and I am looking forward to more updates! I live in Central Pa and model a little later time period than you, the year1968. Happy Railroading! :)

  • Which turntable kit is it?

  • It's the Walther's 90' TT, Built-up and fully indexed/programable.

  • Any problems with installing the turntable and roubdhouse?

  • Not really any problems. It went pretty smooth. I just took my time and made the gaps between the bridge rails and the surrounding rails as small as possible. Also, be sure to file the rails to a point, sort of like a very short frog or point on a turnout.

The turntable itself operates flawlessly. All the programmed stops are handle great. It's a very easy kit to use.

  • Love your videos and layout man!

  • do you have a T1 4-4-4-4

  • No... Not "Yet". ;-)

I would love to have one of those. I'm always on the lookout for a good deal on Ebay or somewhere. Unfortunately it won't fit on the turntable, 122ft is hard to fit on a 90' table.

  • Good thing I got the 130' from Walthers. I love the articulated locos.

  • I looked into the 120', but there just wasn't enough space.

  • Oops, I meant 130ft.
