  • I bet this guy who is against bio engineering and trangenetics is like freaking stupid. He says that he finds it disturbing. But in reality, what is NORMAL to him (us) has been shaped and altered by humans in past generations. I mean, seriously, golden rice should be legal. I bet this guy is just going off of band wagon, and does not know the REAL facts. you can tell because he didnt have a good defense to his position when he was arguing with her...

  • "in the whyuuuuuuuulllld" ha stupid u.k's

  • let the shit skin wogs die!!!!! afro, asian indi cunts fuck off!!!!!

  • they need to genetically breed super marijuana

  • how many years until i can go and buy rainbow rice?

  • i love how british people say vitamin

  • um her voice is gay

  • It's kind of sad how some people just think of the profits of this ... people who only see the financial side, the "omg someone could get rich from that" side should try living in Africa.

  • Yeah, make the world a better place by GM-rice. It's not that the only reason this was created is to sell it to poor farmers in the third world and keeping the monopoly on this stuff (by forbit them, to grow there old rice again and taking care, that these GM-rice can't reproduce itself), so they can exploit these people even more ....

  • People are stupid. Humans have been doing this for our entire history. Only at this point can we actually control it with precision. Where do you think all of our domestic dogs come from? We need to start to apply this to humans. Genetically engineered humans are the only way for our species to advance. God, if only the Nazi's would have won WWII. Imagine superhumans with increased physical and mental traits. Also, there is nothing wrong with eating these plants and animals for food.

  • @rtgoodson you agree with Hitler's causes???

  • @steaminggreentea Godwin's law!!! I win the interwebs

  • @rtgoodson domestic dogs like the english bull dog cant breathe because of this you douchebag

  • and the part about it being highly regulated? Don't make me laugh!... Even Monsanto's own scientists don't think it's safe. the poor people in third world countries whom are starving won't even eat the shit!

  • GM is poison... Just watch

    Unnatural Selection, The GMO Trilogy

And you will see there is everything wrong with it!

  • Make me some ice cream that doesn't make me fat and I'll be happy. Lol. (JK, I know it doesn't work like that.)

  • i find genetic engeneering on plants for the purpose of medicine far less alarming than mutating animals simply for profit and a bigger meal for those who can afford it.

  • Golden rice? Isn't that just like brown rice??

  • Hey lady while your at it -you might also add that canola is a made up name you guys gave it to conceal it being from Rapeseed AKA MUSTARD GAS --Next we'll talk about margerine being 1 molecule away from plastic

  • @WillExposeYou

    WTF?...

  • "Vit-ta-myn A"

  • @BlastBurnEX : That's the stuff that makes peh-pahs the color they are. >.> Lol.

  • Well, genetic modification has its good and bad. I think it would be the most useful in the medical area where we could cure disease. If we go too far playing around with genes, we could totally screw up everything.

  • WE ARE SCREWED............

  • Silly me. I take an OTC vitamin supplement every day that has Vitamin A in it already.

  • So I'm sure you wouldn't mind paying the money to have your supplements shipped and distributed GLOBALLY? To all those people on a daily basis? Come back to me after you've taken a class in economics.

  • If you were dying of vitamin A deficiency and you didn't believe in this but they made a food that if you ate for a while you would survive, would you eat it. Of course you would because if you were faced with death you would do anything to survive unless your to stuborn and you would just end up being one of the people to die from deficiencies per day.

  • There's cheapest way to save people from vitamin A defiency than GM food, you could give them spirulina(they actually supplement foods with spirulina in many third world country)

  • Apparently it's not quite doing the trick, is it? I'm not sure it's really cheaper in the long run, anyways...

If farmers had the seeds at their disposal to produce a better plant, then over time the world's rice supply could have the properties necessary to sustain all the life forced to subsist on nothing but.

  • The idea that GM foods are created for the good of the world's poor is laughable. G. Rice doesnt make seed, so corporations that sell this to farmers in the developing world guarantee themselves a customer for life. After harvesting the farmer has to go back to the corporation to buy more seed at inflated prices...... this is why thousands of farmers in India have been committing suicide. If they gave the seeds away free, then I'd believe all this hogwash about caring about the world's poor.

  • golden rice is being used by corporations as a battering ram to get support for GMOs globally under the cloak of helping the poor. In fact corporate controlled GM crops would lead to a disaster in food production globally.

  • It would be nice if the third world would use birth control and then there wont be overpopulation, starvation, and all the other problems that plague our modern world. The third world out breads that of any other human population on earth.

  • That is why there is a teminaion gene created for rice and corn.

  • Really I didn't know. Thanks for the tip.

  • Cloning animals has the potential to feed the entire world for extremely cheap. It's grossly offensive that anyone with the luxury to disagree with cloning can also afford to feed themselves.

  • Thank You so much for posting this particular episode. The man said it; "the rich people" are holding this wonderful rice back from starving and dying people: MONEY! The "GOD" of the modern world. Yes I do understand their concern for cross-breeding and the dangers of this new strain of rice becoming a scourge as a "noxious" weed crowding out the natural vegetation. I agree. But for God's sake; FEED THE HUNGRY FIRST!

  • I support GM food and I think the guy in this documentary is a ignorant anti-science retard, however, the woman is not reporting the whole story either. GM food scientists are also in it for the profit, the "feed the children" line is just public relations. They want to, and have succeeded in, lobbying governments to allow them to copyright genes for exclusive production of a plant. If cross pollenation occurred, it would mean a loss in profits for the owners of the genes.

  • Oh yes, lack of A-vitamin kills, but MAYBE G-manipulated rice will soon have it too much and it kills too. What happens if ALL rice will be too A-vitamin rich ? Those who eats a lot of rice now, have to stop using it, so that they would not get A-vitamin poisonning.

  • ?

I'd hope that with all this money they're spending and research they're doing they would know exactly what their new altered brand does to the human body before selling it. This is science, not politics. No $840B bailouts here.

  • because to convert my dvd to mp3 i only have a trial programme and it cuts it into small chunks

  • get the next episodes up please, you can post up to 10 minutes at a time, why are some of these clips so short?

  • what a cheeky pr1ck
