Each one of those bills is a 10000 Japanese Yen Note. 10000 Japanese Yen will buy you about 1 night in a hotel in Japan. It has the buying power in Japan equivalent to the buying power of a 100 dollar bill in the us. The Japanese yen is currently MUCH stronger than the US dollar.
