  • Can anyone say "Seek and Destroy"?

  • kind of a raw song, but I love the cover

  • cool cover art. i wish had an atmosphere similar to something like that....it's more epic rather than trying to act like a young grunge/rock garage band and now trying to be a stoner metal band with lulu reed :p lol

  • thanks for the upload

  • Their first guitarist was black.

  • @ventor11225 man... he just made one solo in the whole thing. he never was a member

  • @CalebePriester what solo did he make?

  • Mustaine started megadeth dumbass, i thought you would know that.

  • Thanks to metallica that I heard about diamond head :)

  • @ACDCisNiCe Thanks to Metallica that I don't listen anymore to Metallica =)

  • @TempusDiei It is a matter of taste :) For me, their early material is superb, especially demo tapes!

  • I hear the metronome !

  • @MrSuchy945 Thats not a metronome, thats lars hitting his cymbal indicating when they start playing

  • They got the album cover idea from Conan the Barbarian. Awesome!

  • Well geee... I wonder where they got the riff to Seek & Destroy from... :p

Hahahahhaha, no worries, both bands are fucking awesome.

  • Loyd was never in the band, he came over for an audition, during which they showed him hit the lights, and then recorded him soloing over it. after that he never really played with them again, he periodically showed up to say "whats up" but then they showed dave hit the lights and he redid the solos, but they made him learn the first or second (one of the 2) loyd solos cause they liked it, author than that, Dave was the first actual guitarist.

  • The absolute least known album from Metallica. I've been a hardcore fan of Metallica for 2 years, and didn't even know about this EP until like 3 days ago

  • no no its Ron Mcgonney

  • awsome cover, i wish the art work was on a t shirt

  • The best part of this for me is that this band went on to be the biggest metal band to have ever existed. Then we have this super old stuff with the shitty recording quality, hahahaha. Also, I feel it's worth noting that the cover art you have up there isn't the Ron McGovney's '82 Garage Demo's cover art, but rather the Power Metal cover art, which didn't have Sucking My Love on it.

  • Dave is a awesome gutarist but he was such a dick Ron left because of him guess we probably would never had Cliff

  • I bet Ron McGovney is kicking himself now haha

  • CHASE ME!

  • @lazarulksd I think it's actually "Taste Me" lol

  • Ron McGovney

  • Better quality recording than the original haha.

  • the perfect for a BJ

  • Holy Shit look at the artwork that woulda been hella nice if they put it in one of their 80s albums or they could put it in their upcoming ones.

  • who did the artwork?

  • Okay, this is to the Lloyd Grant and Dave Mustaine deal. Grant was just there til they found a permanent guitarist. First line-up is James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Dave Mustaine, Ron McGovney

  • Legend has it that Diamond Head heard Seek and Destroy by downloading No Life 'Till Leather on to a D90 weeks before it was available through the underground tape network, and wrote this song right after.

For a bit of a laugh, and to prove the maxim that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Metallica knock out this wonderfully (and deliberately) rough cover of Lick My Love Pump. A kind of warning shot to the thrashers in Stourbridge that the Bay Area bands didn't miss a trick.

  • Best Metallica Demo, Badest RIFFS of ALL TIME.

  • you can find allmost everything about metallica on wikipedia

  • I want this metallica back !

  • I gave Horsemen of the Apocolaypse to my Best Friend I would have rather had No Life till Leather and Power Metal and Megaforce Demo. I also have some live stuff from 82 and 83. I like Metallica in Bootleg Personally

  • I don't believe you have to love Mustaine at all.

  • This has great production value <---Thats me being sarcastic

  • @Transfixion Because high production value was absolutely the goal when they were recording themselves practicing in a garage for no one outside the band to hear. I know in my band I always ensured every burp and fart of practices has been recorded live to 16 track in case people want to steal and bootleg them later on.

  • I hear the metronome: D

  • dude-these demos r amazing!!

  • i cant hear anything!!*sigh*maybe my moms right i should stop turning up the volume to high when i listen to metal!but i dont wanna listen to it in low voice it wont be fun!:(

  • What the... Can somebody tell me where the fuck this album sleave is from?

  • i have this album :D

  • Im a huge Metallica fan and ive never seen this album cover now i know where let it loose is from. Im now definately not worthy!!!!! You have surpassed me!!!!! Everyone I know is going to be amazed at this discovery. One million thank yous. Im very sure this album is worth a lot of money. Could you tell me (if you know) how much the originial jump in the fire, creeping death, and garage days re revisited are worth I have those THANKS.

  • I think Ron is a good bassist no matter what people say

  • you forgot loyd grant on guitar, truth be told they had several guitarists before the final line up

  • @death80

but he was never in the band... all he did was record an ad lib solo for the first ever recorded version of Hit the Lights

  • Power Metal Demo, Fuck Yeah the Real Metallica times!!!

  • huh? wat album is this song from? ive never heard this b 4...

  • @LEMIAS91 This was on the demo album No Life 'Till Leather before Kill 'Em All came out.

  • was this on the no life til leather demo cus i just read somewhere it was the 8th track on it

  • great

  • I wish they made the cover art into a shirt or a patch.

  • the cover is from a bootleg album. It,s on vinyl and cd and is called NO LIFE TILL POWER. It is the "NO LIFE TIL LEATHER" and "POWER METAL" demos put on one album. I have the cd and it's fucking sweet.

  • well hell ma lemme have that fuckin cd haha

  • where's the album cover from?

  • Mustaine!!!!!! \m/

  • that cover art looks something from CONAN, the 80's ruled!!!!

  • is a great cover of Diamond Head, though, Diamond Head will still reign supreme, Metallica still #2 in my books

  • lmao neone notice at 4:20 onwards is easily what they based the intro to seek and destroy off.

  • yeah good catch. They got a lot of their first stuff from Diamond head and Motorhead.

  • @Thrashvel ideas**

  • maby, it are just inspirations, like every band needs, less then idea's, but james told he god seek and destroy from this song so :D

  • @Thrashvel

    and myself

    listen to

    Dead reckoning - diamond head

you will hear seek and destroy intro so clearly into it :O

  • in my opinion mustaine acually did a better job on the solos then diamond head's guitarist did on the studio version

  • original lineup was

    roy mcgovney on bass

    hetfield on vocals

    mustaine on guitar

    lars on drums

later it was cliff because ron left and then they booted dave because he was a violent drunk and they got kirk from exodus

  • dave mustaine kills it!

  • Comment removed

  • @PeeceSells Actually, dave sang lead vocals to begin with. James was supposedly shy about his voice or whatever. And from the sound of this, it is Dave but not james who is singing.

  • @diddilitli Oh for God's sake! First of all Dave said he never sang anything in Metallica. Second, James is trying to sing like someone else (as far as I remember Diamond Head's vocalist) all the time before Kill 'em All. Now I don't think you are a real fan if you can't tell the difference between the younger voice of James and the voice of Mustaine.

  • @diddilitli Dave never sang for Metallica, this and anything else you hear from this era is James.

  • @PeeceSells It was good that they replaced Ron, but Dave? Who knows...

  • @Knifyman yea...it was good and bad...we got megadeth at least

  • @PeeceSells well there was one guy who played guitar for one show and lloyd grant played on one of the demos before dave joined

  • @PeeceSells Ron* McGoveny

  • @PeeceSells Wasn´t Lloyd Grant in the band before Mustaine?

  • @Prisonpojken yes

  • @chompykitty i though Grant was in Hetfields previus band only? and only had any part to do with hit the lights?

  • @Prisonpojken yeah, but he just made the solo on Hit the Lights... he never was a real member...

  • @CalebePriester funny don't you read the metallica history/biography? Lloyd resigned after Hit The Light

  • @Prisonpojken no he wasn't, just a step-in on one track.

  • @Prisonpojken no he was not - he was in the same time he was a guest on metal massacre and only played hit the lights (lead) and thats it from him :P

  • @SirotaKurcina Yeah, I know that now. Anyway, Grant was still involved in the band before Mustaine, right?

  • @Prisonpojken nope - they were in the same time together only for that one gig and that was about it - it's like if i brought my GF to stage - a guest

  • besides - i never saw any metallica BAND pictures with a black guy by their side lol and neither did you

  • @Prisonpojken your mother's cunt

  • @Prisonpojken He never was in metallica he just played the demo for hit the light so lars could get hes demo in metal masacre

  • @Prisonpojken He was playing with the band before Mustaine but he never really was in the band :D

  • @PeeceSells Lloyd Grant before Dave Mustaine...Fail

  • @n00bt00bpr0ducti0ns Lloyd grant was more of a session member than a real member, he only pulled a lead on Hit the Lights because they needed a solo on it. He wasn't really a "member" just a competent guitar player who could do what was needed at the time.

  • @Death8498 Oh I know, but still even though he wasnt a legit member he was the first guitarist in my book

  • @PeeceSells Erm sorry, lyod was the first lead guitarist :) go hoem asshole

  • @VansMaster12 nah they just needed to slap a lead at the end of their hit the lights demo for metal massacre in '81. they got their bud lloyd grant to do it. he was never really their guitarist as part of the lineup.

  • Comment removed

  • @PeeceSells no the original lineup was

    Hetfield doin vocs

    Ron on bass

    lars on drums

    and Lloyd Grant on guitar

  • @NeverScottAlex the lineup was james-vocals Ron-bass Dave-lead guitar-Lloyd Grant-rythym guitar Lars-drums

  • @Metalagirl21 im talking about before mustaine was in the picture before the songs they wrote were even written when they werent even metallica yet lloyd grant left when mustaine joined

  • @NeverScottAlex technally yes but Lloyd only played one song and thats it so your right but your also wrong becase PeeceSells has the right line up

  • @PeeceSells ron , not roy

  • @PeeceSells And where you let Lloyd Grant? that was before they arrived Mustaine ...

  • @PeeceSells rearrrrry???

  • @PeeceSells I thought they kicked McGovney.

  • @dontcrytomeohbaby McGovney left because of something Dave had done when he was drunk, or something like that.

  • @CornDood Oh yeah. Dave like kicked his dog or something like that. I got it. Thanks.

  • @dontcrytomeohbaby Ron left because Dave poured whiskey into Rons bass and it exploded, get your shit straight

  • @SepticSchizo7 All right dude settle down. I mean GOD FORBID I make a mistake, seeing as I'm a human and all. Goddamn.

  • @dontcrytomeohbaby hahaha just buy dave mustaines book and youll never have to ask another question again or watch the documentary of ether megadeth or metallica

  • @PeeceSells Wrong, Lloyd Grant was first on guitar, then Dave Mustaine and now Kirk Hammett

  • lloyd grant was never in metallica that is james hetfield

  • Lloyd Grant WAS in Metallica at one point before they got Ron

  • ron was a bassist.... grant did lead guitar on hit the lights on their first demo i believe, it was more of a guest appearance, he wasnt really in the band, i dont think they ever played a gig with him or even rehearsed

  • i think he made the solo, for some reason

  • they just played with him the demo for hit the lights

  • hey man lloyd grant only played 1 SOLO on the very first hit the lights demo for metal massacre magazine(the second solo to be precise)! he was NEVER in the band and did NOT play on any of these demos!

  • Gotta love that Mustaine guitar playing!! :)

  • ostia! ya kisieran jajajaj, estos no dejaron vivo ni un puto tema de este disco !! oh, pobres diamond head

  • what album cover is this from???

  • No one no's... man .... it the lost metallica theme

    LOL

  • It's a demo... They have some cool shit on the demos, like Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

  • power metal lp

  • it was a bootleg back in the day man!!! worth big money back then !

  • look at the info box dummy!!!
