@EDIshames usually asio4all works pretty well (google and install it), but m-audio fast track or fast track pro(or ultra, etc..) runs it smoothly, fast track is less than 100 usd. or the roland one, roland cube?, should be good

Just trying to help a brother out. I have a firestudio mobile and Win7 64. These are things I have done to get solid performance. If you haven't, do firmware check in Universal Control and get latest driver online. Disable onboard sound in bios. Turn off ALL Win7 sounds. Plug interface in BEFORE you turn on the PC! It might actually load the driver properly and not slowly destroy your speakers with the pop sound you are getting. In device manager try setting your firewire bus to "legacy".

Fire face? never heard of them. for my audio computer i have an Audiophile 2496 . it's an older card but they still make it and it still works well. why didn't you just roll back the driver to the previous version if it worked before or was that what guitar rig 5 was trying to get you to update so everything would work? Ilike the new sounds of the guitar, could play some mean Stevie Ray Vaughn on that thing now with those sounds
