  • Anise and fennel are closely related. A prong can also refer to any projecting part of anything. And I think you should all give her a break. At least now I know what part of the fennel plant to use in my soup.

  • Anise is a plant fom which the seeds are used to make a powder from which you get that flavor. Nothing to do with fennel.

  • Anise & Fennel are not the same plant. They just smell & taste similar.

  • Blah blah I think it's horse shit.

  • fennel sweet fennel anise star anise are 3 different plants no matter what safeway tells uuu peace

  • Man, thats a good knife!

  • who cares if she said prongs, these are not prongs, they are fronds like trevnic already mentioned. This mix up between fennel and anise and the term "Yam" for a sweet potato. Oh my...

  • your channel name should be HowToChopShit

  • Anise is not fennel. Prawns are a type of edible shellfish like the shrimp. A frond is a leaflike expansion.

  • The way the extras are removed off the knife makes me cringe...looks like a cut waiting to happen.

  • you need to remake this with the correct term of fennel

  • Anise and Fennel are two different plants... just to clarify.

  • However, if you leave the root/center of the bulb whole and slice it very thin on a mandoline it is not tough and leaves a gorgeous pattern for salads...

  • LOL! :)) Its not prawns , I am pretty sure she means fronds!! what has prawns to do with a fennel bulb??? that's a mistake. thnx for the vid. heplful
