  • 2:25 Only for you, Julie. Only for you

  • She could be Snow White if her hair was black and if she had a red bow in it. :)

  • Bagpipes was used During Celebrations In Scotland Like St Andrew's Day (30th November),

Hogmany (31st December) and Robert Burns' Celebration (25th January).

  • Julie Andrews The Actress From Films Such As "Mary Poppins" (1964) and

"The Sound Of Music" (1965) appeared On The Muppet Show Season 2 1977 to 1978.

  • Thumbs up if your mother gave you milk money--when they still called it "milk money"! XD

  • I don't get it... What's so funny about the moon rising in the background as a dog plays the piano? What's "funny" at all about a piano playing dog, besides the sheer absurdity of it?

  • @NancyDrewGuru Listen to the original Moonlight Serenade and you'll get it.

  • @NancyDrewGuru Rowlf the Dog is playing Beethoven's 'Moonlight' Sonata. :)

  • @NancyDrewGuru It's the Rowlf's reaction. He had to check the title of the piece (Moonlight Sonata, by the way) to figure why the moon was there. NancyDrewGuru, indeed.

(kidding, I just thought it was ironic. Love the name)

  • Does that cow look like she's on mild tranquilizers? She's taking the presence of people and puppets in her face very well.

  • @burnerdaughter cows are pretty chill animals.

  • I loved that short of Beethoven! :-)

  • "Find out who it belongs to!"

    "Okay..."

Asks cow: "Who do you belong to?"

    "SCOOTER!"

    XD

  • Kermit, that's a cow!

    Best line!

  • Gonzo has fallen for a cow this time. Those poor chickens.

  • The purple monster at 0:22 is like a monkey the way it starts screaming and bouncing around, right?

  • I hate bagpipes, but the mere image of Gonzo playing them on a flagpole is just too funny to ignore. THANK YOU MR. BEAVER!

  • Now who didn't see that gag in the newsreader sketch coming a mile away? Still funny though. Wonder why he never thinks to stop reading?

  • Julie Andrews used to have a 3 octave voice which is very impressive!

  • awesome !!!

but we need her to find a true dirndl... this one is just fake

  • She's so great, and looks so young even now! I really love her, she's pure magic

  • The part with the cow really made me laugh including with Kermit and Scooter.

  • "Scooter, refresh my memory. Was there a cow in that opening number?"

    "No..."

"THEN WHAT"S A COW DOING BACKSTAGE?!"

"What cow?" "THAT COW! RIGHT THERE!" "(Gasp) Kermit, that's a Cow!"

    LOL

  • I just about lost it at ten thousand ping pong balls. XD

  • One of the best shows ever on television

  • Man, Julie Andrews' voice is absolutely amazing!

  • @bgoods9956 got that right

  • the sound of music, more like the sound of muppets

  • 0:20 Poppins surrounded by monsters!

  • Who here heard Gonzo play and instantly thought of the old 'Super Mario Bros.'?

  • ok i'm mad from 5:25-5:46 they went through all of that just to knock the guy out......makes it all the more funnier.

  • The Muppet Show is Hilarious.

  • DrJuliusStrangePork? Sexxy name

  • Julie Andrews ages well

  • Lol "Moonlight Sonata " is the exact same song I had to play for my piano class at school

  • Anyone know what Rowlf was playing at the end there?

  • @razorramone63139 Moonlight Sonata. Hence the moon.

  • 5:03. Bad grammar, Scooter. lol

  • Julie Andrews(my favorite thing in this whole wide world) and muppets....supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!

  • Eh don't have a cow. HAHAHAHA!!

  • i am such a big fan of julie andres yaaaaaaaaaay

  • Julie Andrews is a superstar!!

  • Juilie Andrews from Mary Poppins or The Sound of Music!

  • @angierooney6 both...

  • Gonzo has a cool horn at 1:19!!! or somewhere around there

  • Ah, Julie Andrews!! Now this is a wonderful lady.

  • @mechasaurus yes, she is!!

  • @mechasaurus Aye.

  • The moon should have dropped to the floor as soon as Rowlf stopped playing.

  • lol, I know! I was actually expecting it to!! :-P

  • Poor Gonzo...

  • what song is the piano player playing?

  • moonlight sinatra

  • Scooter:(to the cow) Who do you belong to?

    HAHAHAHA XD

  • LOL!!!

  • LMAO at that frickin goatherd wailing.

  • Julie Andrews is and always was a class act. :)

  • I like that purple monster that was screaming like a monkey. Too bad they didn't use it again, huh?

  • Why's Gonzo wearing a dress?:)

  • Comment removed

  • I was just kidding, silly.

Scottish people wear kilts & play bagpipes.

  • he's a weird 'whatever' remember?

  • i dunno! but he looks rediculous!

  • Comment removed

  • Julie was and still is truly beautiful :D And I don't even like short hair for girls XD

  • I cut my hair short and i'm a girl!!

  • moonlight?

  • I love Julie Andrews, she's done some really good roles! One of her recent ones was the queen in "Princess Diaries" and it's sequel, really good films! She was also wonderful as Mary Poppins, I love the Step In Time scene where she spins around!

  • wheres the second part?

  • When those ping-pong Balls hit, it was like on Captain Kangaroo

  • What tune was gonzo playing on the bagpipes?

  • I think Kermit says it in his intro.

  • Eine Kleine Nachtmusik

  • MOO!

  • Why was the cow there?

  • Keep watching to find out.

  • 6:39 - TIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!!!! lol!

  • Perfect timing! LOL!

  • Julie Andrews is a great actor. I recommend "Thoroughly Modern Millie", it's very funny. she also voiced the queen in Shrek the third.

  • What was rowlf supposed to be playing?

  • it's beethovens moonlight sonata.

  • I love Julie Andrews so muuucchhh ^__^

  • Thank Goodness for plastic surgery. Ms. Piggy looked horrible back then

  • Actually, in this case it's more like Foam Latex Surgery and not plastic.

  • Rolf: You know, I saw the movie twice.

Brave man. I could barely make it the first time. But I love Julie Andrews! Such a great actress and singer.

  • The show was taking a bold step using an actual cow in the five-foot platform. Had the cow misbehaved it would've thrown the whole production out of wack, but the cow proved to docile and a trooper through it all.

  • Thanks for bringing this back. Love it! :-)

  • RIP Julie Andrew's Soprano voice.

  • She can sing again, she sang in Princess diarys 2 for the first time since she had her operation.

  • she sang alto

    not soprano

of course she can still sing just not a high pitch

  • Some songs from Julie Andrews old movie "Sound of music"

  • Why don't we have smart and funny writting like this anymore!?!?!?

  • i agree.

this is so much better than watching reality tv.

i just don't even watch reality tv...

it's all drama, drama, cat fight, emotional break down, drama.

  • I second that. The stuff on TV and theaters these days are based more on flatulance and crude sexual humor, that it's not worth going to the movies or renting at the movie libraries or watching TV.

  • I third that! Why don't they make shows like these any more?!?! There was more fun, imagination, and charm in shows like The Muppet Show than what we see today!

  • This is where Mirrormask came from. Brian Henson was told by the BBC "We want more like Dark Crystal. Go to. You get all the budget you want."

  • @Saffie19 and a laugh track when the jokes are actually funny!

  • @Saffie19 you make a great point if you look at today's comedy shows it have terrible

    scripts and every thing

  • Weeeeee! She is never gonna live that movie down. Muahahahaha ^^

  • man you dodnt get good tv like this anymore.

honestly. i am concerned for my generation.

all the tv shows have sexual things in them.

this is good ole fashioned funny

  • @ilovejoejonasx I agree. Its all 3 second sound bite stuff because the 'people that know' (sic) seem to think that kids just don't have the attention span. The Clangers was a roughly built set with roughly built puppets but with complete stories. I dont know of a kid that was never glued to the set when it was shown. The Muppets is fast moving but there is always a theme.

  • she was about 41 or 42 when she was filmed in this

  • Julie Andrews...I have to say she is a GREAT..no... she IS A VERY EXCELLENT performer I hve to say also she is damn sexy in that episode!!!

  • "You know I saw the movie twice"

    Ya gotta love Rowlf

  • I was wondering how old Andrews was when she did the program. She looks about the same age as when she did "Sound of Music" which is what the first singing sketch is ment to look like. She is now Dame Julie Andrews which is well deserved!

  • The sound of music was made in 1965. The 2nd season of The muppet show aired in 1977-78. Julie Andrews was born in 1935, all according to IMDB.

  • That beaver is so damn cute

  • Don't you mean so "dam" cute?

  • touche
