I miss the 2004 Leafs... they had such great talent! 103 points to finish the season. Sure they bowed out in 6 games in the Semi-finals against the flyers.. but the Leafs were much better to watch then, compared to now! Kessel and Gustavsson are nothing compared to Sundin and Belfour!
That was a REALLY good team in 03-04. Gotta hand it to JFJ, he built a good team THAT year with Leetch, Mogilny and Francis. Its unfortuante we could'nt get past Philly.

Pat loves vet and you had: 37-Nieuwy, 35-Almo, 36-Leetch, 41-Francis, 32-Nolan (Housley wasn't there in 03-04 but he was about 40 by then) & Reichel (who sucked in playoffs and doesn't deserve to be on your list) and 38-Roberts. Grizzled vets but some not in their prime anymore. They also had 33yo Sundin, Renberg and Klee, 35yo Fitzgerald and Marchment, 37yo Calle Johansson and 39yo Belfour!
I agree 100% and I remember on the last of that season New Jersery lost to Boston and because of that the Leafs ended up 4th in the East. If they would have been 2nd in the East they would have got home ice vs the Flyers. So who knows what's could have happened, because the lock out really messed up their line up.

Just hearing the crowd cheer for Eddie when Andy Frost says his name is spine chilling, even more so when I was recording it lol. Man, if I could go back and watch this team play instead of the current roster, I'd do it in a heartbeat!
None of them really worked out for New York either so it was a lose-lose but the Leafs in the end win out because Leetch was able to help their PP, if only for a few months.
