Mark's guitar is a 1937 Style O Resonator style guitar. It is the same one that is on the cover of "Brother in Arms". He still has it. I saw at the Orpheum Theater in Boston back in 2010. What a great sound.

Well now go to the songwriter's perspective. A good love song is usually written after your heart has been ripped out , so imagine where mark goes mentally every time he sings it .

This song is a particular favorite. As a matter of fact, the album is awesome in general. What a great love song ! I love this particular post because it captures Mark's raw emotion. Especially from 3:05 and on. Can you imagine writing a song like this, then have relationship problems with your signicant other, and then have to perform it and try to keep the tears from flowing ?
