ADVICE FOR PEOPLE VISITING NORWAY. This is no understatement, this country is HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE to visit. We paid 9 euros for a glass of coke in a restaurant. I've heard of people paying 12.
@hakametal True, prices in Norway are high, especially at tourist locations, but not sure if prices in restaurants should be the common denominator for Norwegian prices in general, as restaurants (especially at places with many tourists) charge almost whatever they want knowing their customers will pay (you are already sitting there). If you go to a local shop you could get it for less than 2 € (maybe still expensive compared to other countries, but nowhere near restaurant prices).
Who gives a fuck about mountains. I'm Norwegian and I drive past mountains a couple of times a year without even looking at them. Actually - fuck nature in general, blast it with piss! Come to Oslo, you can get a fat fucking nigerian whore for 10min for 250 dollars. After that find a cheap pub and enjoy a 10 dollar beer, but be careful - if the muslims dont kill/rape you, the christians will.

@ElliotLakeCanada Lot's more work here than most places. I started searching a few months ago, and on my third attempt I got the job and started the day after. Though, some professions are harder than others of course. It also depends on where in Norway you would like to live - it's easier in the smaller cities. The hard part though is getting work in norway, as the rules of immigration are pretty strict.
Far from it, norwegians have 20 years to come up with a genious plan to keep their extreme spending and waste of resources before they go bankrupt and will fall like all socialist empires always do. Norwegians apathetic and egosentric nature wil fuel that process, you see it's not a sustainable system to move industry out of a country with the taxes of their people. It now have stocks worth 3.157.159.200.953 NOK (541.477.299.396 USD or 398.028.050.285 EUR) it's increasing with 5708NOK/s (975,03 USD/s 720,45 EUR/s). Around 4% of the yearly income to the pension fund is used to run Norway, which is what have been calculated as what can be used after the oil and gas adventure is over and still keep the spending at todays level. It's not THAT extreme spending, it's not like Dubai.

@ElliotLakeCanada Lot's more work here than most places. I started searching a few months ago, and on my third attempt I got the job and started the day after. Though, some professions are harder than others of course. It also depends on where in Norway you would like to live - it's easier in the smaller cities. The hard part though is getting work in norway, as the rules of immigration are pretty strict.

Far from it, norwegians have 20 years to come up with a genious plan to keep their extreme spending and waste of resources before they go bankrupt and will fall like all socialist empires always do. Norwegians apathetic and egosentric nature wil fuel that process, you see it's not a sustainable system to move industry out of a country with the taxes of their people. @darthconvader The Norwegian Pension Fund is supposed to take care of that. It now have stocks worth 3.157.159.200.953 NOK (541.477.299.396 USD or 398.028.050.285 EUR) it's increasing with 5708NOK/s (975,03 USD/s 720,45 EUR/s). Around 4% of the yearly income to the pension fund is used to run Norway, which is what have been calculated as what can be used after the oil and gas adventure is over and still keep the spending at todays level. It's not THAT extreme spending, it's not like Dubai.
