  • Dopamine is the reward means. Sensation is the pleasure reward. Sensation is addictive as it doesn't last. Craving is addiction. Is craving pleasure?

  • 1:25 porsche thinking: yea finally passing him, subaru: yea fuck you! see you on next lap lol

  • $80,000 porsche vs $18,000 impreza including engine mods. $10,000 tops will fix the imprezas braking and cornering problems... 28K vs 80k impreza for the win LOL

  • Drinsane, the WRX had the wrong tyres delivered on the day secondly, the Porche has anilock brakes andthe WRX didn't.

  • 600 hp??? its veri slow...

  • I would put money on the fact that the Subaru is going to need a engine rebuild way before the Porsche...

  • Well the Suby is fast but the traction is terrible. Should have outcornered te GT3 easy with his 4wd. And also some better brakes would be nice i guess!?

  • Well the Suby is fast but the traction is terrible. Should have outcornered te GT3 easy with his 4wd.

  • That impreza is a mobile chicane in the corners

  • HAHAHAAH! AWESOME Video and RAce! Reminds me of my Forza 3 races!

I was on the dge of my seat! HAHAHAHAAH

  • He's totally playing with him >.< thats so great hahaha

  • Porche and Subi both with boxer motors -- AWD Porche 6-cyl 3.6 L with near 500 HP and very light vs. an Impreza with a 2.0 L 4-cyl with 600 HP ... awesome race!

  • @mbdulka

    Or in fact a 380hp 1250kg 6cylinder n/a against a 600hp 1100kg 4 cylinder turbo. But I agree it is still an awesome race.

  • All Paw, Boxer Turbo for the WIN!!

  • AWD :) Impreza 4ever

  • now give the porsche also 600BHP than we see!!

  • @RoyCoST its a gt3 man, alot lighter and smaller than the impreza, and it comes stock with 435 hp, and that porsche there WITHOUT a doubt its tuned, it also must be 600 hp+, the impreza still up front cause subaru makes a perfectly symetrical AWD, plus the subie and porsche use the same boxer engine

  • @willwork4superpowazz first of all there are not the same engine's!

second the subaru is way slower in the corners. in every corner the porsche comes back to the tail of the subaru, and the subaru is extreme tuned so its for sure it has a weight reduction, so its a un fair battle, the porsche sound not that tuned at all, i have seen a race on the nurnburgring with a 500HP subaru and a 380HP porsche and the porsche was 1,2sec faster every lap.......

  • @RoyCoST -__- dude theyre not the same engines??? WHO THE FUCk doesnt know that subaru and porsche use the same engine (the boxer engine) oh that right YOU -_- geez man educate yourself a bit, look up boxer engine, only diff. might be that the porsches a 6 cyl. and the subies a 4 cyl. so you ARE terribly mitaken, and do you know anything about aerodynamis and weight, or power to weight ratio or even drag!! if you did you wouldnt have posted how a car behind can catch up to one in a turn

  • @willwork4superpowazz, DUH you stupid its six cilinder VS 4 cilinder so it is not the same engine, i know it is boxer my dad has 1, en i know all about power to weight because i work in a performance center, so dont talk man, this are to very different cars!! so please go read some specs man, every thing is just different. the only thing that is the same is its a boxer! but the porsche has a 12,2,5 diff/power ratio the subby way less. so don talk shit! so go out on the internet dude!

  • @RoyCoST aaahahahahaha "i work in a performance center, so dont talk man" oooooooooh shit this guy works in a "performance center" aahahahahahaha xD never heard that before, hahahah you mean a tuning garage? or a retailer of performance car parts, but what you said is straight up stupid hahaha plus it could be misinterpreted as a computer performance center etc. be more specific lol

  • @willwork4superpowazz be more specific? is that the point of the discussion? no! GO LEARN somthing about cars! oh and its a Chip Tuning center the dyno fine tuning,,

  • @RoyCoST now youre talking a dyno fine tuning, aaaah see was that so hard?? good boy thats more like it.

  • porsche def. had superior breaking, better corner speed too, all that power in the scoob, pullin on the porsche in the straights and the gt3 was still in his back pocket, awsome race tho, id take either of em down with my moped bahhahaha

  • holy christ. how the fuck do you get a impreza to 600hp, thats rediculous, theres gotta be like 100k plus in mods.

  • i do agree at the track it is all about the driver, yet we all saw the overtaking on the straights, and thats where it was about the power.

  • 4WD powaaaa

  • go subaru go!

  • when ur at the track.. its all about the driver...

  • I don't know why people are getting so bent out of shape. This is a track ready Impreza vs a track ready Porsche so of course this is going to be a good match. We all know that the Subaru wouldn't stand half a chance in hell if it were stock but I'm a fan of both & their boxer engines so I will give them both a screaming thumbs up for giving us a good show.

  • sum1 cant drive their porsche lol

  • That Porsche is way better in the corners and under braking. This talk of ABS is rubbish, its a dry track so ABS has nothing all to do with it. Sorry but Porsche is a far better handling car fact. Look that Impreza has a 200BHP advantage and can only just pull on the Porsche in the straights and on the corners the Porsche has faster corner exit speed. Plus Porsche looks so much better too.

  • Gibbo205 your spot on

  • very true Gibbo. The porsche is easily able to out handle the subbie sadly. but yea, in this case it just has so much more power that it just doesn't matter lol. Can't overtake when you get blown away :(

  • Miss spelled....lol....hahahaha. If you are going to comment on someones spelling make sure YOU get it right..lol.

Would ABS make that big a difference on a dry track? Could it not may be that the Porsche is just a better handling car?

  • i dont think thats a GT3...

  • It is a GT3 fully race prepped too, it's being driven by Greg Crick the Australian GT Champion at the time. The WRX is being driven by my mate Tim. Greg had anti-lock brakes and Tim didn't which is why the Porche catches him in the corners.

Tim didn't build it to impress anyone, he just loves cars.

  • You don't get 600hp from a stock 2.5 motor by simply adding a turbochrger and a few other things. The frame, transmission, transaxle, exhaust etc... needs to be either changed or altered to accomadate that increase in brake horse power. Those alterations don't come cheap. Thats a tremendous amount of HP applied to a vehicle that was not initially designed with that in mind. And to repeat....when its done, its still a Subaru. Not to impugn the Subaru which does make a nice car for the money

  • That Subaru had to have a lot of money sunk into it in order to perform that fast. Probably close in dollars to what the Porsche costs. And lets face it, at the end of the day which car looks cooler and will hold its value dollar for dollar. If you want to impress your high school buddies, then sink a lot of money into an eco box. If you're looking to impress the ladies for the same money, then put your money into a Porsche.

  • What?? You think that Suby has over $90,000 worth of mods put into it?? I'm sorry but I'd wager my bottom dollar that that Impreza doesn't have even a third of what a GT3 costs invested into it.

  • @essert1

At the end of the day, the suby owns that Porsche for a lot less money.

  • its sad when a person would buy a car to impress chiks... grow some balls

  • Whats sad is when someone sinks lots of money into an econo-box in an attempt to improve its performance and that car will only be worth the Blue Book value. Thats referred to as good money after bad

A Porsche is the pinnacle of automobilesa car by which most others are measured (even the Subaru). Most people dont drive their cars faster than the legal speed limit allows.

    Incidentally, you miss spelled chicks.

  • if you don't like tuned cars, don't look them up on the net! all the tens of thousands, more likely hundreds of thousands of people around the world can't be wrong when they enjoy their hobby of tuning cars and driving them... if you don'l like it, stay out, but don't talk down to people who are more passionate and knowledgeable about the mechanics of cars than you are and comment on their inability to "pick up" with a cheaper car, that's not what their passion is for... open your eyes

  • Merry Christmas to you.

  • yeah you to

  • @essert1- the joy of building a fast car > it's resale price

  • Tim used to own a 928 that he modified as well. After he sold it the new owner rang him and basically said What the &%*! did you do to that thing! :)

  • Great clip, shame it wasn't 10 laps, I was engrossed and wanted to see more! Kept thinking the GT3 was going to get him any moment.

I have a GT3, puts out 480 hp and weighs 1200 kilos (standard is 400 hp & 1350kilos). I had to work it like that so it could hold 600 hp road cars at our club down the straight. Under braking and through corners -Tchau!

Having said that a 98 wrx driver and any Porsche driver would have exactly the same amount of fun - thats what counts!

  • the wrx was a great driver. the proche out-braked it every corner but used the strait line excelently!

  • the porsche has ceramic carbon fiber brakes and a shit load of computing power that the suby does not, hence he can brake later and control better through the corners. I think that the suby holds the porsche off extremely well in the corners for just being a WRX

  • None the less, the suby gets Uber props for keeping up, if not surpassing the porsche ON the track.

  • haha there is no partial win or partial loose

he did well holding of the GT3 on those corners

  • Yeah see the straight distance at 2:07, and then see the distance at 2:10, the Porsche is quicker. Not only is the Subaru going slow in the corner, it takes it too wide.

  • 1:25, the black Porsche was about to over take the Subaru in the corner, and then the Subaru just pulled away in the straight, handling wise I'd call that a partial win for the Porsche.

When I am driving in the canyons in the mountains, that always makes me mad when I ride some one's ass through the corners, but they take off in the straight, and then say they are faster, but if I could have went through them, I would have gotten to the end quicker by going faster in all those corners anyways

  • porsches are stunning, subarus less so. but i own a scooby and there amazin cars. this is the quickest scooby i have ever seen unreal on the straights for the money you cant go wrong! wat a car

  • porsche lol but id take a look at the sub.

  • i think the porsche did well was it modified aswell?

  • Impreza 4 ever

  • considering the man hours the owner put into the subaru i bet it was more expensive

  • I have a 98 impreza coupe 500whp

    Total cost: $23,000

    I eat GT3's for Breakfast.

  • Nice Video. That is one sick Scooby! I am definately a fan of American Muscle, but I give props where props is due. And I am definately a fan of those Subaru's. Well built, and quick as shit! LoL! Congrats on the win!

  • cool vid man i like it, great camera work

:-) Damb that scooby owns that GT3 on tha straights big time.. but tha porsche handles beutyfully dont it? good race.

  • I am sorry you are angry.

  • Oh man that is sweet, the acceleration on that scoob against the gt3 on the straight is awesome, i just wanna get out on my scoob now after that :)

  • cool vid, fan of both cars, but subarus is #1 because I own one, haha.

  • subaru porche bashing lol

  • Good video, that WRX punches well ahead on that hill!

  • Thats a stoke 996 GT3 415hp..ze subaru was 600hp.997 GT3 will defaloute a 600hp subaru :D

  • Wrong buddeh. You can obviously see that the GT3 had better braking, handled the corners similarly, but lacked the power to keep up on the straights. And how much did he pay for that subie? Hrmm..

  • Very nice close race. Im still a fan of both manufacturers.

  • thx to the suburu allwheel drive system and boxter engine ricer wins ;)

  • last time i checked .. they are both boxers..lol

  • why do the girls in the back ground sound like they are taking it up the ass? lol

  • They are.

  • Even a Porsche can't beat a good WRX!

  • sweet jesus..what the f..ck r u talking about dude???we r talkinf 4 a porsche man,the subaru after that race cant start the engine again..pls..

  • wtf.. last time i checked..subaru bought a copy right from porsche so they could use the boxer design engine.. i've seen so many subarus last over 250,000miles even 350,000.. they can take beatings too.. i've pushed my wrx motor to the limits breaking transmission parts but no the motor.. it comes down on how u tune it and how u take care of it. the problem here is that more ppl abuse subarus more than the porsche owners do to their cars.. but they all break

  • Subarus were half made for abuse hehe. I own a legacy and seen some wicked stuff only subarus can do and still go on ticking. Like the one video of colin mcae at one of the X-games rally. ( X-games rally sucks.)

  • Heh, the porsche seems to close the gap on braking, but the subaru probably had better exit speed out of corners. It really hauled up the hill! Hm, low end torque? ;D

  • subaru a the way

  • best car
