  • it the most wonderful you could have!!! I wish I had it !

  • God bless this woman. Thank you for your work.

  • What a great testimony. One of the things I love about the Catholic church is the diversity. Our society is so monolithic and so miserable it is threatened by anybody or anything that does not conform. I can recognize the fear in many of these comments.

  • Their is a lot of misinformation concerning OpusDei out their on the web my advice is to go to .opusdei.org for info and definitely attend nights of recollection held once a month and listen and ask questions get to now other who are in the work to know what is really going on and what OpusDei is all about, the website can direct you to places to go and email addresses on where you can get the info you need,I am not a member of OpusDei but do practice myFaith in the Spirit of OpusDei

  • She's so lost. It's really sad.

  • She is a very humble person.

  • God doesn't need to have his floors scrubbed, honey.

  • Well, as a maid, her job is to lend a helping hand, after all...

  • That is great!!

  • Dont worry hang in there even Christ was vilified yet he was holiness. from experience when i make the right decisions in life that are both fulfiling & lead to happiness most people "friends" will keep there distance and criticize me, yet when we engage in all those short term "happiness" immorals they are al too happy to be by my side its called negative motivation. continue to pray for them & me as what we require is not condemnation but love. i admire your character & approach to life

  • opus dei in the Netherlands can be found at the Onze Lieve Vrouwenkerk in Amsterdam. Very nice novus ordo latin masses! I prefer the tridentine mass at the Agneskerk (FSSP)though!

  • ¡Gracias por existir y ser tan buena gente!

    KIKO

  • I bet shes a pain to get on with spouting her religious dogma

  • I'll bet you are prejudice and that's a pain for everyone...

  • Very nice woman she speaks the truth clearly.

    God Bless Her

  • God bless this holy woman.

  • Thanks for the contribution. A very nice example. It reminds me that my vocation, like any other on is world, is about service. A professional service.

  • I´ve been very close to the Numeraries Assistants in other country... and ALL OF THEM ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE!... Their own kind of living their vocation is really an example for all of us, women with our own home!

  • Very good!

  • Opus Dei--Great Organization--Thank God for Escriva' and this wonderful lady and all those who follow Opus Dei

  • Blocked

  • Actually I've never heard on anyone with two. It's a Cool system which means we (irish parents) don't worry about college fees only the cost of livin for our kids if they do go to college. College for me was like a rite of passage I suppose. I still thought it important to have an education or job in case I didn't meet Mr right. I think college was tough work but it also teaches you lots of life skills & IT WAS DEFINITELY FUN. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

  • IT? i thought u were a doctor...now u confused me.

  • Not sure what you mean:-) Hmmmm I seemed to have used "it" alot in the last blog (or whatever it's called??) Em I was mainly referring to college. I mean the work was tough but the "extra curricular" activities were the real fun part.

  • As regards religion, it's funny cos my husband and I aren't religious at all, I was just curious about Opus Dei.I just happen to share the same sentiments as home making as the lady in the video. Wishing you all the best.:-)

  • wait, but you are a doctor, why did you go to school if you are not going to practice? I mean, I bet you spent lots of money and time on that career and WHO PAYS YOUR STUDENT LOANS? I mean, you suppose to have a pile of student loans after graduation so why doing all that if you are going to end up at home?

  • Oh I definitely did go to school to practice medicine and I do get to do a bit now&again (well 3 months of the year:-)When my kids get a bit older & will have to spend more time in school I'll take morning sessions privately, and still be done to pick them up and do all the usual bits & pieces like cook & play with them etc.. Oh I live in Ireland. Our education system is socialised so everyone has free education until their first PhD.

  • that the best place for children to grow up and be taught is by their parents. I fully appreciate that sometimes both parents need to work to support a lifestyle, but I guess it depends on what level of affluence or comfort one needs. We are just comfortable with one of us working. One car, one house, maybe two holidays a year.I'm not sure if you're referring me to as suffering but I can assure you that I don't suffer or long for anything.

  • Women at home? why not men?

  • It's a pity that you're implying that the work of the homeplace is burdensome and irrelevant. When my kids were born I was happy to stay at home to devout all my energy and qualities to doing the most important "job" of one's life and that's providing a loving and happy home for one's children. & before you think "oh this is a stupid moron," I'm a doctor, even more qualified than my husband:-)lol

  • Why not men. Well why not women? My husband stays at home to be with the kids three months of the year to allow me to keep up to date in my profession. All tasks in life should be shared.I suppose it just depends on your significant other and their commitments. There's no reason why men shouldn't stay at home but still why can't us women stay at home to be mothers who really really care for our kids.

  • I am more of a career-oriented woman. The job market is very competitive and to remain competetive one needs to be working. Also, nowdays the cost of living is very expensive and requires both to work. Now, even when someone makes good money, still the cost of living gets higher and higher because one always want more (ie:bigger house, bigger pool, investments, ETC).

  • eiregannogbrea, sorry excuse my english, what is pity? is that an insult?

Eireanngobrea, what you told me is that your husband stay at home for 3 months, so is he changing jobs every year? If not, he is lucky but most employers want you at work all year round. Now, I don't think a women should stay at home, I think BOTH should advance in their career so if someone dies or gets sick, the other is prepare to take over the expenses. I think BOTH should hire people to do the house work.

  • And about raising the kids, look for family members like grandpa or grandma for help if not, pay daycare. I mean, you still raising the kids, I drop my kids at 7 Am and pick them up at 3 PM...see? and I still work. But hey, that is just my opinion, now don't kill the messenger :P

  • and other think is that I am lucky and have a strong, very supportive family so my parents are retired and always eager to help and viceversa too if they need help, I am there. We are a big family.

  • I enjoyed listening to this wonderful young woman describing her vocation so clearly.

  • What a wonderful woman.

  • Another fundie moron spreading Jack Shitt idiocy in the jesuits and now it seems Opus Dei, I'm not even religious or Catholic but lies are not good.

The problems that fundies have with Jesuits and the Opus Dei is that people who are member actually have gone to college. And are not afraid of complicated ideas. I thing all religions are flawed because they are human creations but I do credit to Opus people and to the jesuits for trying to make religion sound intelligent.

  • You are wrong if you think that a human created the catholic religion. With all respect you should read a more abote it. in fact for me its not a religion, been catholic is folowing Jesus, real man and real God!.

I love this video, she is full of peace, and it is beacuse she gives herself to the other, and off course to God

  • Brainwashed! Jesus forgives her for spreading propaganda that negates his ultimate sacrifice.Christ suffered so that we wouldnt have to. This organization is pathetic

  • You are the pathetic here! and in your expert's opinion if Christ suffered so that we wouldn't have to, what is the sense of the sufference in the world? are you really a christian or a brainwashed nihilist?

  • ... Ok Hardskull pick up a book. Mortification is a reminder of gods sacrifice. God suffered for us to be at peace with our souls, for us to understand that we must give ourselves to others so that this world can be a better place. They go through this mortification to remind them each day, that they live life in the name of a man who gave his life for a world that did not love him. They are reminded, do this for him, do this for my fellow man.

  • what are u BOTH guys talking about suffering? nobody wants to suffer, are u guys crazy? i think you guys are so brainwashed by religion that can't just use common sense

  • Hi Better...thanks for taking the time to reply. I hope I wasn't insulting you by saying pity. I suppose I was referring to disappointment that you might think that work in the home was in some way demeaning for those you did it in the context of the above video. I have no doubt that you are a very committed and loving parent, & my kids do spend time with their grandparents too. I suppose I'm lucky that my husband is self employed, but I think the point that I probably feel most strongly about is

  • this woman is a truly inspirational child of God, so humble and kind and giving

  • Wonderful! It is great to see a POSITIVE video about Opus Dei here on YouTube.

  • not true, besides, there happy that way

  • Where is the maid's uniform of Ms.Feehery?.

The numerary assistant are only maids of opus dei, working the 7 days of the week in uniform, for the numerarys and priest.

  • Not true. Numerary assistants are numeraries with a different vocation. They serve the Lord through their professional, domestic work.

  • So what? Are you better than a maid? Maybe if we had more people that were saintly and humble we wouldn't be in the terrible state we find ourselves now.

  • Nice upload. Thanks.
