thanks but i still have one guestion what do you use for bedding i see that some have sand and some have that repti bark stuff butt i only use indoor-outdoor carpet because i was told by a few people that stuff is taken from the outside and sometimes can give parisites to your snakes and also pine wood shavings can give your rodents parisites as well and that i learnes the hard way when my redder mice got parisites a spread to my snakes and i lost 5 corn snakes a major loss to me back then
i like to see your vids,so much amazing beautyful snakes...i have see you got copperheads, but my absolute favorite the lachesis Muta(Bushmaster) ive got´n see. is there to big for your Snakeroom or did you like them? i think the Bushmaster is one of the nicest Snakes.
always watch your vids and am amazed at the talents and skill you have handling and caring foe these deadly yet astonding creatures. how many snakes in total do you have???
Extremely entertaining videos mate. Really goes to show how far your hobby is ahead of Australia. Do you happen to have any Red Bellied Black snakes or Collet's snake? They would be my favorite vens and hopefully in a few years I'll be able to keep them :)
hey al,do you travel this year to the reptile expo in hamm, germany ?do you sell there snakes too?i really like to get one of your beautifull snakes with there amazing colouratins.hope we see us there.greetings from germany
Al, do you thaw your frozen rodents/chicks with direct contact to the water or do you have a container to prevent them from getting wet. Also do you notice if your specimens have a preference?
Ahahah! I loved the snakes below the Bothrops cage when the second came out to feed. They were wondering...Hey! Hey you up there! Stay back! >_>...Whats going on??
very gorgous snakes as usual im wondering though how many venomous snakes total do u keep in ur collection im just making a guess but imma say u have maybe 300?
How big do any of the species of the genus bothrops?
I was at a reptile zoo in Toronto where they had one that must have been 7ft long. It said it was a lancehead on the sign but it may have been a bushmaster.
I don't know why, but I think that Coral Cobra is really cute. Must be the cheeks when it drinks. Haha. That Yellow snake, not sure what it was (Pit Viper?) has incredible color. Amazing looking.
Great video as always. Thanks for sharing these beautiful creatures with us. Question... Why does the mouth open make a difference to the snake? Is there some sort of sent from the mouth that says "eat me from this end"? LOL
Oh... I did not know that. Is this with all snakes? I personally have ball pythons and they seem to smell the face area before they open their mouths to swallow? Thanks for the reply.
Taz is not in my perminent collection. No, one see's the main collection. It's also not located near the Q room. Too many collections are stolen. There are security systems in place that I don't want potiental thieves to have any intelegence about. Go and try to take video of the security screening at Heathrow....You'll be hoisted by the pitards before you shoot 3 seconds of video.
Wait, wait, you have TWO other snake rooms?! Man, I have got to come and visit you and see this. I wish you could shoot a little video of just the vivariums in your main showroom. I'm betting that's where the creme de la creme are kept.
It's the least expensive sony makes...DHC-096...pretty good for something that gets dropped and thrown around like that. It has saved my life several times and keeps on ticking.
Great Mix,Love it! Well Al, after watching those two close call strikes,I doubt you will ever have to worry about clogged arteries, with those kinds of constant surprises, your should be clean as a whistle -LOL Also as far as the tiapan,I think she's just a "butt" gal, because she's obviously not confused about which end is which,as she was bypassing the head continually, going for the butt! Just have to love'em,they each have their own little personalities,no matter how finicky. Cheers, ~Lee
Back in their homelands of PNG, I imagine they would be killed on sight by the locals...Thats if the locals got the first hit....Otherwise it would be the snake doing the killing.
I suppose the killing on the Taipans is good if you're a local of PNG....Having a large Taipan enter you're house, being miles away from medical facilities ISN'T a pleasant thing.
it was weird how the rat was pooing i mean mouse

I soak them in water directly. Yes, Green Mambas don't like to eat Rats....Desert Horned Vipers (at least the two I have) don't eat chicks.

3 rooms but you only see the "q room"
viperkeeper 2 years ago
Why not the other rooms?
I assume you have a very nice collection in the other rooms aswell as the Q room.
Is the Q room just for visiters and new arrivals?
Its strange as I've seen animals like Taz in there in your videos....Whys that?

You are doing something wrong if you can't get a baby trapjaw to eat. They're a venomous garbage disposal.
viperkeeper 2 years ago
That is what I was thinking. I have tried warmed up mouse drumsticks and pinkies but he isn't showing interest at all.
