  • @22Infamouse Rodent Pro

  • Yes, look for the videos in my back catalog.

  • hey viperkeeper,do you got a Azemiops feae?could you please show them.?

  • He has a Fea's somewhere. It was in the first calendar I believe, so it's been awhile since he's been on camera.

  • Extremely entertaining videos mate. Really goes to show how far your hobby is ahead of Australia. Do you happen to have any Red Bellied Black snakes or Collet's snake? They would be my favorite vens and hopefully in a few years I'll be able to keep them :)

    keep up the videos!

    Cheers Ash.

  • Those coral cobras are just beautiful.

What substrate are you keeping them on, crushed wal-nut?

  • Yes

    Great video, as always al!

  • all snakes look cute when they drink.

  • That PNG Taipan sure has grown Alot since I last saw it. Very beautiful snakes!

  • Naja nigricollis

  • When you were feeding the Fer De Lance, the Levantine's Vipers below were just looking up and the looked so cute and curious.

  • Their part of the Olympic "Syncronized Eatting Team" They are very curious when food is in the offing.

  • hey al,do you travel this year to the reptile expo in hamm, germany ?do you sell there snakes too?i really like to get one of your beautifull snakes with there amazing colouratins.hope we see us there.greetings from germany

  • cool your snakes room are kinda set up like my fish rooms

  • Al, do you thaw your frozen rodents/chicks with direct contact to the water or do you have a container to prevent them from getting wet. Also do you notice if your specimens have a preference?

  • I soak them in water directly. Yes, Green Mambas don't like to eat Rats....Desert Horned Vipers (at least the two I have) don't eat chicks.

  • Ahahah! I loved the snakes below the Bothrops cage when the second came out to feed. They were wondering...Hey! Hey you up there! Stay back! >_>...Whats going on??

  • what snake is that in the enclosure below the bothrops atrox's enclosure?

  • Blunt nosed Viper (Macrovipera turanica)

  • Fantastic video as usual mate!

  • Great video! Very entertaining and educational.

  • woah nice vid i know this sounds dumb but what was that black snake at 14:10 and the snake at 16:20 ?

  • Naja nigricollis (Black Neck Spitter)

    Oxuranus canni (Papuan Taipan)

  • very gorgous snakes as usual im wondering though how many venomous snakes total do u keep in ur collection im just making a guess but imma say u have maybe 300?

  • Less than that

  • i wouldnt doubt that he has that many he has been doing it for 35 yrs its very possible to have 300 of them in that time

  • not that i would get one because im just a novice to snakes but were do u get all ur venomous and rare snakes.

  • I have many contacts, in many places.

  • How big do any of the species of the genus bothrops?

I was at a reptile zoo in Toronto where they had one that must have been 7ft long. It said it was a lancehead on the sign but it may have been a bushmaster.

  • Bothrops asper & atrox can get to the 2M + range, not just the bushmasters

  • Thanks I have always loved the genus bothrops.

  • patience pays off in the end grabs it by the head finally good videos as always look foward to the next video

  • I don't know why, but I think that Coral Cobra is really cute. Must be the cheeks when it drinks. Haha. That Yellow snake, not sure what it was (Pit Viper?) has incredible color. Amazing looking.

  • The yellow snake is a Wetar Island Pit Viper (C. insularis)

  • What type of snake is at 14:34 the big black on on the bottom?

  • The Black beast of Ahhhhhhh? Naja nigricollis

  • awh i love those coral cobras !!!! They are one of my favs.

  • silly tiapan

  • Great video as always. Thanks for sharing these beautiful creatures with us. Question... Why does the mouth open make a difference to the snake? Is there some sort of sent from the mouth that says "eat me from this end"? LOL

  • They are attracted by the oral cavity stink...

  • Oh... I did not know that. Is this with all snakes? I personally have ball pythons and they seem to smell the face area before they open their mouths to swallow? Thanks for the reply.

  • Yes, try opening the mouth, if you feed f/t to a picky eater and see how much it helps.

  • What is the snake at 14:45?

  • What type of snake was that at 2:50? It was amazing looking!!!

  • Bitis parviocula

  • its cool to see people with venomous snakes

  • Great video as always Al.

But do an Ottoman Viper show. I have missed my girls and won`t see mine for another month.

    Yasin

  • Al,

How many snake rooms do you have? Do you have a seperate quaranteen room?

    JM

  • 3 rooms but you only see the "q room"

  • Why not the other rooms?

I assume you have a very nice collection in the other rooms aswell as the Q room.

Is the Q room just for visiters and new arrivals?

Its strange as I've seen animals like Taz in there in your videos....Whys that?

  • Taz is not in my perminent collection. No, one see's the main collection. It's also not located near the Q room. Too many collections are stolen. There are security systems in place that I don't want potiental thieves to have any intelegence about. Go and try to take video of the security screening at Heathrow....You'll be hoisted by the pitards before you shoot 3 seconds of video.

  • Have any of these snakes been videos?

What do you keep in the main collection?

  • Some.

  • WOW!!

  • Wait, wait, you have TWO other snake rooms?! Man, I have got to come and visit you and see this. I wish you could shoot a little video of just the vivariums in your main showroom. I'm betting that's where the creme de la creme are kept.

  • Sorry, virtually no one gains access to those rooms.

  • I always enjoy watching your videos! If you don't mind my asking, what camera do you use? I love the clarity of it.

    ~ Susan

  • It's the least expensive sony makes...DHC-096...pretty good for something that gets dropped and thrown around like that. It has saved my life several times and keeps on ticking.

  • How's it saved you're life?

  • It's taken several serious strikes instead of my hand.

  • The one with sniffles, I imagine is one of those "serious" strikes...

  • yeah but the one I consider the best example is the "King Size Suprise"

  • I saw that....Please be careful man...That King didn't like you moving back at all...It was almost to say "Hey, Leaving so soon?!" LOL

  • love it al

    just another great vid man

    keep it up

  • 3:28 what is that its soo niccee ??

  • lol I have a boa the same as your taipan, it dose not matter what I do to help it eat he will always eat the rat from the butt end.

  • Great Mix,Love it! Well Al, after watching those two close call strikes,I doubt you will ever have to worry about clogged arteries, with those kinds of constant surprises, your should be clean as a whistle -LOL Also as far as the tiapan,I think she's just a "butt" gal, because she's obviously not confused about which end is which,as she was bypassing the head continually, going for the butt! Just have to love'em,they each have their own little personalities,no matter how finicky. Cheers, ~Lee

  • First Class as ever Mr C

  • Good stuff Al!

  • AWESOME

  • awesome as always Al!

  • Awesome video Al!! I think the Oxyuranus (spelling?) was a bit confused. lol.

  • She is just overly defensive.

  • She likes to defend her food. Do you have any tips for getting a baby Agkistrodon P. Conanti to eat?

  • You are doing something wrong if you can't get a baby trapjaw to eat. They're a venomous garbage disposal.

  • That is what I was thinking. I have tried warmed up mouse drumsticks and pinkies but he isn't showing interest at all.

  • Try frog or frog scented mice

  • Sounds good. Thanks Al!!

  • For good reason too!

Back in their homelands of PNG, I imagine they would be killed on sight by the locals...Thats if the locals got the first hit....Otherwise it would be the snake doing the killing.

I suppose the killing on the Taipans is good if you're a local of PNG....Having a large Taipan enter you're house, being miles away from medical facilities ISN'T a pleasant thing.
