@ForFreeTVShows The app is called 'Secure CRT' and it acts an just an dumb-terminal to a server-side app running on the old server called Prism POS if I'm not mistaken ;)
is there web access on those? it would not be good if there was because someone could send a virus to it and because it is FAT32 it is not very secure
@VideoBookEducation Yea it had web access, and it already had viruses. It had some virus that kept changing the homepage from the company website to some adware website. But it has been replaced with a Windows XP computer.
Yea but the only thing I hate is that my moms job doesnt lock down the terminals. so now employees always check thier facebook, or myspace while on the job & that can also make the machine prone to viruses.
yeah that is bad, but typical. the IT department never do there job. Also, a lot of people get bored and start surfing the web so it must have been full of viruses
@yabanize PrismPOS...Its an older version. Its like a "more secure" way of showing the stock through a customized MS-DOS window while running ontop of Windows.
Well I known my moms boss personally since I was 7 so her boss knows I wouldnt try to pull a fast one. But when the main boss comes in (The college president) I stay clear away from them so my moms bosss doesnt get in trouble.
Are you allowed to touch the POS machines? I think most stores prohibit that but if you either work there or someone there told you to turn that on couldnt you get in a lot of trouble for touching POS machines? just asking.
Id like to see an IGT, WMS or Bally video slot machine booting up. I hear that they have a linux based OS.

that must have been annoying while doing an online transaction. it must be better with XP's compatibility with firewalls
