  • I have a 89 k5 with 40 pro comp tires when I try to rock crawl it bounces wildly 4inc lift any ideas. It dont seem like axle wrap.It just hops like a 6000 pound rabit.

  • @dbzluva987654321 only eles you can try is to get better shocks to asorb whats happening.

  • alot of 14 bolts just welded last forever. just set my friends up with 56" rear and welded. waitin on the 60 for the front.

  • What size lift an tires do u run? I have a 85 k30 4inch an 38 TSLs. Do u run the Cross over steering or Highsteer?

  • @K20wheeler This is a old set up i had on the crusher, in this video i had crossover steering, with 39.5 tsl on about 5 inch's of lift with alot of fender trimming for flexing reason's Now i have the same size tires even lower lift and tons more flex. Running 56" spring front and Rear. Check out my page for a playlist of videos, i have dont a full one ton swap up front now, high steer. Keep on rockin bro.

  • very nice rig

  • @TheWhitneyfam thanks bro, have some newer vids of it on my page. Keep on rockin man.

  • @dbzgt545 look into building a 14bolt front iv'e seen them and there tank status

  • i wish i could afford a dana 60 front but i got a hd 44 and a 14 bolt for 400 and i got another 14 for 100 so i guess ill be ok ill save my pennys and dimes and get one someday sick jimmy tho beat it break it and repeat it'll take it

  • @68chev4x4 Thanks bro, i love all old school chevy man. The Crusher had a Dana 44 and 14b FF in this video. This is the one of the reason i up graded got tires of breaking axle's bro. =0) but i was Welded up front and running 40's. You can diff get away with it running 37" and Selectable locker up front like ARB Air locker or Electric locker.

  • can u give me the low down on the truck in this video? i got an 88 jimmy i wanna crawl with it has 33 inch bfg mud terrain, it has a eaton limited slip in it now . i have plans for it such as a 4inch lift d 60 &14 detroit locker 4:11 and 37 and other stuff but im 16 so i dnt got alot of cash. how much can 10 bolts handle with a 4 inch and 35. or wat would be the best thing to do to it for 1000 bucks. like a detroit locker and 35`s??

  • Well i have a spring swap called the 52/56 inch spring swap, but i have 56's up front and rear on my truck. it take a little more work and cost about the same a a good lift, but the outcome is ten times better with flexing, but this set up for Trail rigs not recomended for daily driving rides bro. For a 10 bolt the max tire you want is a 33 and locked out back with a detriot and a limited slip up front works great and keeps axle shaft breaks down, if you lock the front it will break.

  • @1magh3ttoman For a lift it and a simple swap, would have to recomend TUFF COUNTRY, because of they make ther springs with great spring rate for flexing and trail rideing, While other ride stiff and dont flex tuff country flex and ride good, alot of rock crawlers doo. A 4 inch lift would work out perfect for 33 inch tires bro. Also if you still have your stock push and pull steering you gonna want to upgrade to a crossover set up. Private message me ill give you my number to talk about this stuf

  • great vid. i'm thinking about getting a project truck, how would one of these be as a week end warrior?

  • @tozir14 Cheap bro, these truck are afforadable and a great all around wheeling Mudd truck and Rock Crawling. You can go extremem mudder or extreme rocker, or even stay kinda imbetween and make one sweet Wheeler truck man. • @dodgeman86 They are 39.5 tsl's Grooved. Thanks for the comment bro, here im running a 14bff rear and dana 44 front. But now have full one tons dana 60 and 14bff fully built.

  • I had to sell my k5, it was a sad day, now the guy who bought it is selling it for alot more... watching this video keeps my memory of her alive, once I get outta basic training I am debating on a Suzuki Samurai, or a CUCV m1009 what should i get?

  • @SHOOPDAWHOOP0987

a SUZUKIE SAMURAI with a cucv drive train. one ton that baby and wheel it anywere. =0) But if you can't find both then just get a cucv cuz it already has one tons, mostlikely.

  • @dbzgt545 yea theres alot of sammy's in my area for cheap, parts are cheap for it too, a cucv would cost me over 4 grand not including shipping to my place LOL, ill figure it out once i get my crap done with Ill talk to you soon buddy

  • If you want up more easy then remove some air at the tires (15 - 20 lb) you can use whitout problem.

  • @perezl1 They are biasply tires and 20 pds is the max. i had them at 12psi. They really dont start to wrinkle and fold tell i put them to 9psi but didn't feel like loseing a bead that day so i left them at 12 buddy. =0) ROCK ON BUDDY. thanks for the comment
