Yeah, he did. I grew up with him, and I think the problem was that he's from a town of 1,200 people. The guy he was competing against was from San Fransisco, and I think that single fact got him A LOT of votes from his hometown. He'll be just fine, though. He's an amazing pianist, as well, and I hate that he didn't get to showcase his skills in his element.

Right at 00:34-00:35, he sounds just like Freddie Murcury, it's freaky. And yeah, major compliment there, since Freddie has one of the most amazing voices EVER.
that's my all time favorite audition... i have chills every single time i hear it... first time i heard it i was bewitched... i can't beleive the comment Randy gave... "u need to work on your image, cause i don't see a star"... everything about this audition is so warm and comfortable... it was a shame he got voted off so quickly...

"If" is one of the best songs ever written. He picked a good song, he was off time and messed up the lyrics. Overall he did okay
