Can someone who practices BJJ with the Gracie's or is very high up there in rank, honestly tell me, without any biased or swearing, what the Gracie Jiujutsu attitude is towards Eddie Bravo and the 10th Planet No Gi System? I practice bjj myself and i really respect Eddie Bravo (yes i know he is a crack head) for what he has done for BJJ. Thanks :D
Your style is very well respected by me but as for Karatedo and Kung Fu, and other such styles, it depends on where you learn it. We are taught ground fighting tactics as well as ground striking and submission holds. If stances are performed right then getting one of those practitioners to the ground would be a bit tough.
@joshbikerboy i dont think so, but i could be wrong. i do know however, that they arent like most bjj schools. their goal isnt to produce good sport bjj guys, but rather good self defense.
I'm a student of Ralph Gracie up in Dublin...I want to send my respect and condolences to your family in regards to Grand Master Helio's passing. He was truly a legend and will be missed by all.
AW DAMN....i used to live there!!!!!......it was only today i found out that royce gracie was teaching there........now im stuck in asia for the next 7 YEARS!!!!!!!
I am from the Boston area and was in town for the Stanley Cup winning game in Anaheim CA. The only thrill that could top that was a visit to the Gracie Academy. It was like playing catch with Tom Brady or skating with Sidney Crosby. The Gracie family is the classiest most friendly group of people you can imagine. I HIGHLY RECOMEND TAKING CLASSES !
I have noticed that the gracie academy has started using Rorions second oldest son, Rener, as more of the academy "Front Man" and not Ryron, the oldest. They had Rener demonstrate with Rorion on the national station FoxNews also. Maybe they are grooming both of them equally, but it seems like I see Rener more often.

I have a couple of questions, great if they can be answered
-Does Rener personally teach at the academy in Torrance?
-It says $160 per month, does this price also apply to private lessons as well?
-Do you have to buy other accesories such as a gi, or it is all included in the monthly payment
