Theres a pair of Gensets down in the yard in Roanoke not far from me. See them every time i drive by to. They serve the concrete plant and some other industries.
those gensets, not green goats. however, the green goats are back in the yard after a recall. easiest way to tell the difference, the ones in this yard, 2600's are gensets, and 2300's are goats.
UP demoed some of their first prototypes of those GenSets in the Janesville WI yard. I was inspecting autoracks on the yard lead the first time I saw them. They were so quiet that they managed to startle me a little b/c they were only 50 yards away when I finally noticed they were coming down the main. They represent a big part of the green future in American Railroading.
First time I went to Davidson sets of 3 MP15's were all that switched the yard.

The Green Goats are only seen in a few parts of the country, and the ex-SP MP15AC won't be around much longer, so why not?
