  • First time I went to Davidson sets of 3 MP15's were all that switched the yard.

  • Theres a pair of Gensets down in the yard in Roanoke not far from me. See them every time i drive by to. They serve the concrete plant and some other industries.

  • those gensets, not green goats. however, the green goats are back in the yard after a recall. easiest way to tell the difference, the ones in this yard, 2600's are gensets, and 2300's are goats.

  • UP demoed some of their first prototypes of those GenSets in the Janesville WI yard. I was inspecting autoracks on the yard lead the first time I saw them. They were so quiet that they managed to startle me a little b/c they were only 50 yards away when I finally noticed they were coming down the main. They represent a big part of the green future in American Railroading.

  • thats not rare motive power, its just yard switchers switching out the bowl. u can see those every single day out there

  • The Green Goats are only seen in a few parts of the country, and the ex-SP MP15AC won't be around much longer, so why not?
