Im actually friends with all of them. Live in their town. They're great. This is a cut-throat business. You have to be an ass to run a tight ship. I never did think much of the Hillstrand brothers. They always look like they just smoked a joint right before they went on camera. This almost confirms it. if Andy is so hell bent on accurate counts, why don't he and his brother take care of it. They're running the ship! Guess they were out "burning one" then too! By weight he mean crab weights. If you watch the whole episode the guys went to sleep while they were offloading crab and no one was there writing down the weight numbers except the company guy so that guy could be taking weight away for no reason and none of them would know cause they didn't write them by hand to double check. So Andy was pissed

and when you hae $1.3m or more of crab on board, 11000lbs of discrepancy is a big deal as it not only cuts profit but cuts the deck hands pay packet.

the fishermen have a motto regarding the offloaders "TRUST NONE OF THEM as they will fiddle you" by under cutting the crews by 11000lbs for example, its 11000lbs more profit. yes its theft but if they have the only records, just try and prove it

He's talking about "WEIGHTS"... a count for the tonage of crab onboard.

When the dockhands unload the crab, they yell out a weight count per load and those weight counts need to be confirmed by the crew so that they can be paid properly per the tonage of crab delivered to the docks.

It's obvious he said 'weights' and not 'whites'. Capt. Andy is concerned that the crew relay the right numbers so the count is correct and the crab weight in the holds reflects said calculated weight in total. They pay for under and over weight. Could cost them dead loss as well. At least that's my interpretation of this.
