Save the Bluefin tuna from imminent extinction! Save all marine life! We cannot blame anyone but ourselves the consumers. Eat less seafood or only Buy seafood with a MCS label. Simply not the case. this information regarding the fishing stocks comes from 2 canadian scientists who have been discredited. Propaganda and mis-information is the only weapon extreme greens have.
If would always listen to the greens over fisherman, South Australia Fisherman on a shooting frenzy and kill over 60 seals saying they are responsible for worsening fish stocks which is absolutely bullshit they were there tens of thousands of years before modern humans even emerged.
If these french dumbasses (and of course Japanese) were a little brighter they would now that if the tuna will be gone that they will be out of business anyway. So I don't see why they keep fighting to still proceed the fishing. SEEK ANOTHER JOB AND GET OVER IT!
@Deafclaw no she was right that is the price... in japan but she didnt mention those are the fish that are taken by the australian wranglers who go out and trap whole schools in net pins and transfered alive to the bay where they are fed and fattened up then iced and shipped after a few months. because there used for sushie the less marks on the skin the more they sell for.
I don't know why this ban has cause so much fuss in Japan. In fact, most Japanese people, including me, have never eaten them in their life. They're so expensive that only rich people can afford, and rest of us normally eat much cheaper kinds of tuna. So banning bluefin tuna will not affect the entire country, or so-called "Japanese culture." Still, all the media outlets are crying that this is something big. I don't get it.
@Ameer18 It is politics big time, isn't it? To say that bluefin tuna should be banned for Japan and not the local EU nations using the premise of protection of "endangered species" is totally hypocritical.
I am the smart one, alright. You are just a dumb one.
@fastballonly its being banned everywhere in the west or at least the north atlantic. It has to at this point seeing as how japs are gonna make em extinct in the pacific. I don't know what your smoking but i'd like some.
@Ameer18 Hahaha. If they try to ban the hunt for bluefin tuna based on the endangered premise, it is so absurd.
Why? Because the bluefin tuna mostly inhabit the northern Pacific. Not the Mediterranean. Not the Atlantic Ocean. This is a scientific fact, you ding-dong.
No one can make them go extinct, you fucking idiot.
We continue eating a dolphin, a whale, and a tuna forever.
They do not do extinction by any means.
A European and American scientist's research was wrong.
Finally truth wins.
Japan continued saying truth.
If Japan was telling the lie, many countries did not consent to Japan's explanation. If Japan was wrong, the protection law of the bluefin tuna must have been determined.
Its either governments or reality that will eventually shut down many tuna fisherman. At least with governments the species have a hope of being saved.
Greed is making Animals go extinct, We can save so many animals especially fish all they need is to harvest them like crops, they should fish every 3 years for specific fish so their populations can rebound. Glad Al Jazeera let comments.
I posted comment before, I checked other videos. They are still closed. Before the (years ago) closing of comments, Al Jazzera comment section was one of the most popular compared to other News channels. However I noticed certain youtube members repeatedly trolled every video, leading to hostile discussions. Thats why it closed. I am suprised this is not.

Fisherman are reporting "an increase in bluefin tuna numbers".
Ahahaha bloody hilarious!
Like fisherman are gonna reporting the actual truth unlike UNBIASED scientists who can back their claims with scientific data/proof.
Fisherman don't realize that if they drive this species to extinction then they are going to suffer much more together with future generations.

Has no one purposed this?
We do this with forestation, and for god sakes we have to stop hunting whales

well with no fish the fishermen are just jerking off anyway. let them fish themselves into having to find another way to put food on the table
but then of course they will probably run that into the ground quickly also. ...........................
