in California you are supposed to have a Bullet button instead of a noemal mag release on assault rifles, unless its preban and i think it has to be 30 inches in length, you also can only have a 10 round magazine. yea always three seconds between shots. i once fired 4 rounds in under 3 seconds here and i got in trouble i forgot i was at a range. some guys almost got kicked out for having a 30 round P-Mag before.

??? FFL? you don't need an FFL for that. If you have a clean criminal record you can go to a gun store and buy these for alittle under 500 dollars... they're only semi auto rifles that fire 7.62 ammunition. They're cool guns though.
@hammertimevice Mine is a single stack mag WASR. Haven't bothered to enlarge the magwell to allow for double stack mags. Not sure if I will either since I'm limited to ten rounds with a pistol grip installed.
@hammertimevice you do realize that there are some states in the U.S. that limit the size mags you can have with a firearm, and also when the Clinton assualt rifle ban went into effect i believe the only AK style rifles allowed were 10 rd only.

if everything is straight and your magazines fit tight it is still worth getting. A good wasr will perform as well as any "bargain" ak that usually costs 500 to 700 dollars...and you can still get them for 300 to 400 in used gun racks and pawn shops
In IL we can have 30 rd clips 75 round drums pistol grip bayonet pretty much anything you want. As long as you don't live in cook county by chicago that's a good thing thow don't need all them nigger to own guns.
Where did you get the rifle from? From what it seems you pretty much have to order it online and ship it to a FFL dealer and install a bullet button or new grip, however 95% of dealers online will not ship to California.
I bought it through a private party transfer at Irvington Arms. Check with ddsranch-dot-com. They should be able to ship it to your local FFL with the pistol grip removed.

According to CA law, a semi auto rifle with pistol grip cannot have a detachable magazine. A detachable magazine as defined by the DOJ is one that can be easily removed without the use of a tool. Mine has a magazine lock installed. Once a mag is inserted, it cannot be taken out without a tool.

Condition is fine. WASRS are some of the cheapest AKs available. I bought it used for $400 with six ten round magazines. With 500 rounds down through it, I haven't experienced any problems with this rifle whatsoever.
