  • maha!! i tried this twice and it melted in my hands! i dnt knw where im going wrong! as im mixing it in my hands it jus dissolves! :((( maybe you could give us timings? with love from england! xx

  • How long do we wait before we pour it out?

  • Can you use this one your face?

  • Maha, but i should pull hair against the hair growth either along the growth?

  • hi maha how do you get the mixture off of your counter ???? xx tnxx xxx

  • @beouronlinexx you get it off the counter by cleaning it with hot water. the hot water will dissolve the sugar.

  • this is really interesting because this is close to the recipe for caramel!

  • Thanks for the tutorial. I did have a concern though. I saw on another sugar waxing video that you're not supposed to use a Teflon coated pot or pan bc your mixture could become toxic. Maybe use a stainless steel pot or pan from now on to be on the safe side.

  • Does this give you those red bumps??

  • @greypillar Any kind of hair removal that ripe the hair from it's roots will give you red bumps

  • This is honestly the most helpful video I've seen on how to make this!! Thankyou so much! :)

  • @nae4721 too much sugar or too lil water =)

  • maha was that a Turkish song u were playing :D?

  • GUESS WHAT!!! 7TH TIME WAS THE CHARM!!! so i did it like she said but i measured everyting so here the resipe

    1 cup sugar

    2 TBL water

    1 1/2 TBL lemon juice

take a tablespoon and put it under water if its hard and stretchy its done. when you pour it on your counter, mix it till its like a yellow orange color then like she said make sure you wet your hands! not too much it doesnt work like that ..for me it took about 3-4 mins to stretch and it worked! IM SOO HAPY! i still didnt use it cant wait!!

  • @nurah2008 with your comment it makes me feel how boss she is to not need measurements for the recipe. lol Great job finding the recipe from trial and error! Thanks! you rock!

  • @nurah2008 Hi Nurah, i've tried a few times and everything goes well until it's time to stretch it in my hands.....it turns a bit lighter, but not the very light yellow Maha had, and it doesn't firm up as much either, still pretty gooey. Any suggestions? or Maha, any suggestions (i think you have your hands full with language comments)?

  • i tried it 4 times!!!! and it didnt work! when it came time to stretch it ,it would become gooy and stick all over my hands and wont stretch ! and it would stick on the counters and it took FOREVER to clean!! and sometimes when i put water on my hands to stretch it ,it would be like it was melting in my hands! i really wanna do this cuz i have sensitive skin and acne prone skin so i wanna try this to see how my skin reacts ...hopefully in a good way!

    plz someone help!!

    thanks

  • @nurah2008 Look for a video called 'make your own sugaring paste' by o0OJennieLeighO0o. She uses a microwave! =) Good luck!

  • @nurah2008 Mine came out too hard and the colour was quite dark :( It was hardening when i began to stretch it! and it went all to waste :( Did you ever figure out a solution? thanks!

  • for how long should we keep it on gas?

  • I did it and forgot to put water on the counter and it got stuck and dryed in the pan and on the counter and i had to hurry up and get it off b4 my mom got home im lucky

  • Maha..you are howesome...thank you! :-)

  • can I eat it? lol

  • @arlyns23 yes, you can eat, if you haven't used it to remove your hair :)

  • This is the coolest thing ever, I can't wait to try it. And why am I just finding this out? :-( But thanks anyways! :-)

  • Maha, I am an ignorant fellow, can you show us what this is for exactly?

  • be careful with a Metal spoon on No-Stick pans like that...

  • hi maha im an arab from which country are you?

  • @style4life1 she's Palestinian

  • i want the youtube glass. 1:41

  • Has anyone found out where else you can pour this on if you don't have a marble counter lol???

  • I tried twice and at the end then you stretching and rolling into your hands it turns into honey as well.. Where is the mistake ?

  • @djtroliz let cock a little bit more time :)

  • @djtroliz sure you put lemons?

  • im going to try this today!!!! :D

  • When i take it from the fridge (i don't have the microwave lol) i try to work it with my hands and i feel it so hard but wet! its not smooth and sticky, i feel a kinda water mixed to sugar! Why? maybe i put too much water? and when i manage to make it softer like it should be, it melts after using it for like 10 minutes! why? somebody helps me please :((

  • @Lulyy84 u dont have to use water, just let it set for couple minutes till it softens a bit

  • Marhaba Maha! ;)

what should i do if i dont have a marble table..

can i still mix it and wait for it to cool down in the pot?

  • im lebanes and i use that and it doesn't hurt it kill's but it still works

  • I just tried it and it realy worked thank u ;)

  • i remember when i was a kid my mother used to make this and use it. and she called it candy so i thought it was candy so i ate it but it was not good.

  • If you don't use this on your legs I guess you can eat it..

  • LOL @harrignos thats sos true. my father does it and i started doing it too.

  • This is so interesting.. Why is it that Palestinian Arabs always touch hot things with their hands? I know you do it with bread while its still cooking as well!

  • Maha I think you made taffy candy. lol

  • how long does it last before the hair appear again?

  • @iman0z my mom did this and she said it was great and it lasted her over a month, she said some people last longer depends

  • im going to make this and eat it

  • @balaclava1110 Just don't add the salt in that case.

  • i have a question from where u brought the cup which appear on 2:07 r u working with youtube comapny t make this videos or u make them free?

  • What if you dont have marble counter where would you pour it

  • @Mwally16 maybe the back side of a wet baking sheet? I think that would work

  • @Mwally16 you can put it in the kitchen sink/bathtub

  • @Mwally16 Maybe you can spread wax paper on your counter instead?

  • @Mwally16 i saw another video where they used a regular plate instead of a marble counter

  • @Mwally16 on a plate maybe, like ceramic...

  • @Mwally16 use a silicone mat..... always have gloves and a bowl of ice cold water by your side just in case the sugar touches your skin during the cooking process

  • I've tried to do this 2 times and I still cant get it right lol

    I make a big messsss! :p

  • Maha I tried this and it just didnt work out :(

I made the wax perfectly and poured it out and everything but once i got it under the water it became hard as a rock ! im really disappointed

  • @princesspeach2486 u should do it fast.. dont wait too long before it gets cold u should start streching.. if it was as a rock put it in microwave for 10 sec.. it will be ok again.. then do the step with water.. ( i usually dont use water.. but it takes me more time streching it.. but i get the same result..)

  • am going to make it now thanks

  • what song is this ?

  • Wish I had known about this when I was in Egypt ... in Cairo, the women use a piece of sewing thread and hold either end of it tightly as they roll it over the surface of the skin, and the hairs get caught in the twirling thread and yank the hair out. Oh my, I never screamed so much in my life (except for at the dentist ))) LOL
