Even though I am Indian I do not understand the song but love this song so much that I always listen to it when I am down and out. Really lifts me up.

I'll not comment more. I challenge every bangla muslim- if you have any guts left, find the truth yourself. Afterall, as you believe, you have to face the almighty one day.
Bangladesi state is worse than the Pakistani state. The Nehru & Ghandhi did that to hindus. These darling leaders of hindus left them on the mercy of muslims. Mercy of muslims!!
How is he a hero? He who killed lakhs of your bengali ancestors & burnt universities & cities, that Turk invader is a hero for you. The first generation of your line that converted to save their lives knew the truth but certainly, you don't.
The demographic change in bangladesh is testimony to the fact that muslims will not leave any non muslim alive. The partition of india destroyed hindus like never before. Here in india the Muslim population has almost doubled & in pakistan & Bangladesh, the hindus vanished like the parsis of Iran. What happened after India's unnecessary partition has put even 12th century Turk Bhakhtiyar Khaliji's massacres far far behind.
The point wasn't to put any one living of anywhere DOWN in particular. It was done so against BANGLADESHIs and the defence was presented in response. That is all. Bangladeshi people have faught long and hard to achieve the place where we are now, and it is injustice to be reduced to anything less than people of equal regard and standards. That is all.
Do you know, sir, that in your particular position, for which you have seen said statistics, you have been spelling IMMIGRANTS (with an "I" not "E") wrong this whole time?
My forefathers are living there. I always eat bangladeshi foods. Of course there are many problems with the foods but for that small reason I wont insult any country.
See the previous comments. See your bangladeshi programs international journals. Full of venom against indians specially they try to show how bad is our culture
Oh? Under pressure now? NOW your forefathers still live in Bangladesh? If so then why do you not feel any sympathy for how hard our country has faught to get where we have gotten. Leave Bangladeshis alone. We were attacked, and therefore we retaliated in defence. Nobody started this thread by attacking Bengali's in India. Get that straight.
When Pakistan separated, were you not also thrown from there. Why are you speaking of religion now? You have no idea how many Hindu people are my very close friends here. Anyways, you and I both know that the events of our past were not our personal doing, but the outcome of decisions made on a greater, (and yes perhaps more unjust and uncivilized) scale of proportions.
Just for the record, as of September 2009, Bangladesh's population is 16% Hindu. This information is taken from an online database. It is mostly personal choice that decides where a people of particular religion wish to reside.
@maxiver hindus were less than 20% during 1971. A large portion of them migrated to India and settled in North Kolkata. I am personally acquainted with many of them and their 2nd generation. So, after 71, the population of hindus in Bangladesh was never above 15%. Right now it is 11%. So it's really not a big difference and clearly the ones who left Bangladesh to India during 71 and afterwards, account for this small difference.
Really? Even if your data is accepted, a difference of 4 of % about 8 crore is no big difference! Leave that aside, check your facts first, confirm the bangladesi hindu population in 1971 & then come back. Its not your fault, the fault is in the religious doctrine in which you believe. The doctrine that makes people irrational & barbaric.
Hindus thrown out from Bangladesh during 1971 is not Bengalis' fault. Why are you ranting about that now?! Go ask Pakistanis why they did it. There were more Muslim Bengalis dead in 1971 than hindu Bengali. Don't differentiate the victims by religion. It's disgusting. I heard few Indians speaking unspeakable words about Bangladesh. I dont blame all Indians for those few rascals. I'd expect the same kind of gratitude from you when commenting on Bangladesh or 1971.
Don't distort facts. 80% of the people killed at that time were Hindus. Leave that, tell about the Bangladesi state. What happened to the Hindus of Bangladesh after 1971. How have the their percentage in bangladesi population reduced so drastically? It even never happened during the long intolerant Turkish Mughal muslim rule. How ????
@maxiver if anyone is distorting facts here then it is you. If 80% of the dead were hindus then why would Bangladeshis (who were 80% muslim) fight against Pakistan army?! That's just rubbish. More than 80% of the Bengalis dead were Muslim and the most concrete proof is that 95% or more Mukti bahini fighters who collaborated with Indian Army were Muslim Bengalis. Pakistan Army targeted the hindus only during March,71 but then they faced resistance from all Bengalis and killed Muslim Bengalis.
ReaLLY! I dare you find of yourself the truth. Just for instance, ask your elders of the massacre of hindus in 1962 when the then establishment spread the rumor that sacred relic of prophet has been burnt by hindus in kashmir. Lakhs were killed within hours that night.
your speech tells itself that how much mean and stupid you are... you are a definitely damn mother fucker typical Indian..who simply doesnt know what is respect ..what is culture..what is religion...simply...sick u r..
In my comment, there was some very good text and information about my country. Our professors are STILL going to your ******* country to teach your students. Why didn't you talk about that when I said that you guys (West Bengal) don't have any newspapers in the whole of Canada? Why didn't you talk when I said that west bengal people from THERE aren't helping west bengal people that are here? You obviously have eyes, but your brain is filtering the good things and you see the terrible things. I
We dont migrate illegally to your country as you do. Your professors come to India to teach us!!!!! laughing madam laughing.
We dont need newspaper in Canada we have enough international standards paper published from calcutta circulating over millions all over the world.
4/5 bengali people helps others or not is not judged by small examples. Your brain is sick, you use these examples to show west bengal down, thats it.
And when you use your examples of illegal immigration that is not just to put bangladeshis down right? You are so are so high above yourself and everyone else? Go and find out in Shanti Niketon, was or was not our Dr. Anisuzzaman there to teach as a visiting professor? Just because you dont KNOW or you don't AGREE that means the truth is inexistent?
Why not a big deal? From a BEGGAR country like mine, one who you continue to give insult and harass, and telling us that we are all illegal immigrants; for you to INVITE a professor to teach you, that IS a big deal. You wanted to prove that you are the cream, and that we are the waste? You are so hypocritical, you say you are not trying to insult us but all along that is your main intention. And it shows well.
We can not share the credit betwen east and west. Our language same, food same, songs are same, our culture is same we can never be a separate identity.
Therefore if we say "we are original" there will be fighting.
Better we should say "together we are complete" not alone.
Anyway, if I have hurt bangladeshi honour I beg perdon, but my intention was just to point out something which has blackened our bengali race all over the world.
I pity you. I am the mother of 2 children, this another reason of why I cannot write any bad words which "sroshta" gave you. Be educated. And try to be a real gem of a man, who's eyes and honour and see good AND bad things, both. We still recognize India/Pakistan and West Bengal has good things. That's why we practise said "good things" and we store it within us. You live in Japan? Well, that may be the reason of your bad eyes. Open your eyes. Spread them wide. Not your filthy tongue.
Do you know how to read? Nobody insulted Bengalis of India. There were points being given against the insult of BANGLADESHI's. Venon? Your NEXT line was venom: "worlds largest illegal immegrant supplier" . You truly are sick.
Why are you so stuck on the point of illegal immigration on the part of Bengalis? There are enough illgal immigrants from INDIA living here in CANADA with no papers to prove anything. There is good and bad wherever you go in this world. No cake is truly perfect. Who said it's only Bangladeshi's that immigrate? Are you working on this? Have you seen it with your own eyes as it happens? My friend there are many illegal INDIAN immigrants across the world. You should know that, you're so smart.
The point is that, I had to take many cases of bangladeshi illegal immegrants in Japan since I know bengali.
All of them are caught with fake indian passport. Go to any country you will find illegal immegrants from bangladesh is so much that they compete with philipines and other south east asian countries
You haven't dealt with cases for Indian immigrants yet, so that's why you assume there are more Bangladeshi than Indian. You're a classic hypocrite with a biased view.
listen mate...juz bcoz of the 'pushing' done by ur BSF each n every hour, our border guards have to remain vigilant...first stop that...then talk about bangladeshis having illegal indian passport!
And you are the cream of milk? Please, your intelligence level makes me laugh. And at the same time the narrowness of your collective perspective of things make me want to vomit. An INDIAN, Dr. AMIT KUMAR, made NATIONAL headlines for kidney trafficking kidneys of INDIAN people for the highest bidding patients. You rape and pillage your own kind. This is recent news from February 2008. This man lives in Canada. Search it and feel some shame.
It is only us BANGLADESHIs that have given you shame face? Look at yourselves. It's hard, I understand, you must not have mirrors present where you are to be able to look at the kind of scum you are. Bengalis ruined YOUR world image? Dr. Kumar trafficked kidneys while living in Canada. Lol. We ruined your prestige because we don't have a brain such as to do these antics and come in the paper for it? Sorry, we're just too dumb for you then.
They found out that Amit Kumar was not a doctor. But even if he was, why would he need to go to India and traffick kidneys? Because. You INDIANS are TYPICALLY greedy. You don't even spare your mothers. FOR MONEY you can do anything. This is just one of the many instances that can be presented here. Our BANGLADESHIs, if they lived in Canada even in impoverished conditions, they would never go to their country to do such things for money. I can solemnly swear it, I guarantee you that.
We're not a hospitable nation? Why? Give me an instance, buddy. Let's debate. India is now categorized as a DEVELOPED country, where as BANGLADESH is still developING. And for that, a 50% literacy rate compared to INDIA's 61% is amazingly impressive.
Bangladeshis are always under pressure because of their political situation. Their bad products can only go as far as to its neighbouring country, like you. But as for INDIAN products..HERE in CANADA, do you know what happens? There are many Indian businesses; grocery stores and restaurants INDIAN people here are selling expired products, which must be returned and argued against because once we return to the store with your shit product you refuse to reimburse the money.
Of course products are not coming bad, but they are selling expired items. Why? Well my good friend, for money of course. So who is ruining whose image again? Hmm. As far as your restaurants go, my friend, I have witnessed countless Indian restaurants in trouble, remaining closed to avoid inspection. Because in all honesty, the majority of your nation's people's restaurants here are in no shape to pass any kind of inspection, let alone for food safety.
Where your basmati rice and tandoori chicken is world reknown, why do you need to do this? But don't forget, for buying Elish Maachh (Hilsha Fish), you need to come to our country. As far as I know, there have been no news of casualties from any Indian eating our fish.
So you mean that we live a life where you throw us and THEN we start eating and living? The Great Tagore himself stated that Bangladesh's hospitality is just great and specific to Bangladesh and you'll never find it anywhere else. We know generosity. We know appreciation. In Canada, Bangladeshis have countless numbers of newspapers. Whereas West Bengal doesn't have any. They want to hide their Identity. But we do not. We are PROUD to be Bengali. Next time, wear a mask. Hide your face.
What do you mean by the date of Rabindranath Tagore's death? Does that mean that he was never in Bangladesh? Maybe at that time we weren't the country called "Bangladesh," but the people were still Bengali, and Muslim. Everyone has an ass hole in their body. For that, does that mean that he/she will not be respected? Why do you only see the hole, the bad things of our country? Have you ever recognized the good things of our country?
Even being mother of two you used enough bad language in your previous comments and spreaded venom against indians. So dont try to be nice now.
You said Tagore talked about Bangladesh's hospitality. He never did. Show me. Bangla was divided in 1946 prior independence. How come he talk about your bangladesh which effectively created in 1971?
You're amusing. If you know the dates SO well then how can you miss the referrence that he was making to YOUR part of India which is NOW Bangladesh. Bangladesh did not come to existence at the time, but the PEOPLE were there, or did they spring out only from independence? Did you know that Tagore's Jomidar-bari is still in Bangladesh? What do you know about Tagore? Learn, read.
No one tried to prove you fake. As I said, I have presented defence that BANGLADESHI is no less of a people than those living in West Bengal. Read ALL my REPLIES CAREFULLY. Please.
It shames me to know that the BDR actually fought for scum like you. BANGLA is a very rich culture and we have 200 years worth of history and literature. Which will never break through to people like you. Satyajit Ray needed to get an actress from our "beggar" of a country. That actress's name is Bobita. HRITIK GHATAK needed to come to our country SEVERAL times to make his film with our actors/actresses. So did Goutam Ghosh. I knew that intelligence and culture never had any limits.
In 1977, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika sang this song (Megh Thom Thom Kore) for a Bangladeshi movie called Shimana Periye. Sixteen years after Shimana Periye in 1993, Bhupen Hazarika sang this song in the movie Rudaali, of course, in Hindi (Dil Huum Huum Kare). In 1952, we FOUGHT for our language. Now, on every 21st February, the WORLD celebrates a day called International Language Day. WE fought. WE lost lives. WE lost our blood. Whereas, YOU still exist.
Where was the West Bengal people when they were in need!? I have provided the addresses of 3-4 West Bengal people to help them out. NO ONE HELPED! And you are spreading shit on us? You are the only creature who loves to hide their language, culture, and famous Bangalee manners only to immitate the foreign people. A proffessor named Dr. Anisuzzaman went to Shanti Niketon as a visiting proffessor from the poor country of Bangladesh. Dr. Mohammad Yunus got the Nobel Prize.
Other West Bengal people don't even talk to them. That's the kind of unity and helping attitude that you have. Do you want any addresses? Who I know just from meeting them in the mall! Who became my friends and who's son is coming from any vacation or any kind of break to our house! From Windsor! On Eid, Hindu people from other parts of India came from the Waterloo University to my house, ate, and took food that I provided. They even stayed for the weekend!
You people are not comfortable to say or express in your own country that you are Bangalee. How will you say here that you are Bangalee? You are discriminated in your very own country. Just because of your extraordinary narrow mean and selfish mindedness. Have you ever heard of the name of the Windsor University? Do you know how many Bangladeshi teachers and students are there? And how many from West Bengal? Here, I am Bangladeshi, keeping West Bengal people in my house. FREE OF COST.
First of all I want to thank Mr or Ms ffffacjh to speak the truth to Ms debdina. Ms debdina should learn how to accept and appreciate some good things. Can you please stretch your good mentality a bit? You might not see the the next morning. Who knows? We are poor beggars who are illiterate, I agree. Thanks for reminding us. But we are proud to be BANGLADESHI. We are very grateful and hospitable nation. Want some proof? Come here to Canada.
This is not a copy of Hindi or Asamise version. At first this song was used in Bengali movie Simana Periye in Bangla and sung by Dr. Buphen Hazarika.....Bappa tried to sing the great song....nice.....
Bangladesis have started teaching us what to do!!! eh ....a country having 19% literacy rate - how many people read books??? 1%- 2 % And what books?? all copies of Indian bengali books. Make your facts correct and really dont worry for us .
Don't worry about us. Time and again we have proved how to survive and what to achieve. We don't have anyhting to prove to you Indian bangalis that are considered 4th class citizens of the country that have influence on nothing. We will do good as long as your daddy India mind it's own business & don't act a midget king. If it wants to, go confront China! And don't provide garbage data out of your rage, I'm in no mood to counter your non-sense. Just try to be an average Indian, will ya?
debdina, what a stinky douchebag you're? Aren't you some cheap slaves to the north-western Indians in your very own state? Aren't you some most disliked impotent worthless orphans in an all-Indian standard/context? Aren't you slapped everyday by Hindi/Urdu speaking people? Don't most of the Calcutta based intellectuals/writers hail from Bangaldesh? You impotent loosers only know how to mourn over "Could Have", "Should Have", "Exploitation". You're some Big Mouth Sorry Asses cry foul only!
And you worthless stingy cheap asses must shut your dirty pieholes knowing that more or little what we have in Bangaldesh, it's ours, we own them. On the contrary, what you have is just your own shits, nothing else; because you yourselves are owned by others, let alone the assets! You're the most identity loser among all the Indians that include your very language. However, you impotent fags have no balls to stand up & become either a dominating force or be an independent state like we do.
You poor bastard. You would look far more intelligent with your replies if you stopped pulling numbers out your ass. For your information, statistically Bangladesh has a literacy rate of 47.9%, and if you're too dumb to know how to round, that's 48%, nearly 50% of the entire population. That is saying a lot for a country has lost so much blood trying to be independent, after being raped and pillaged by Pakistan, and surviving one of the worst famines in the modern world.
It's sad the way you look so down upon a portion of your own country. Only an INDIAN such as YOU would go to such a feat. Along with the 26 official languages, as well as the many more unofficial ones, in India, the BANGLA language ranks second at 8.1%, that is nearly 10%, of the spoken LANGUAGE in INDIA. So we are not coming to you, we have been there from before. In addition to that, we have a large contribution not only to your economy but history as well.
Being a part of INDIA you think YOU are more superior to us? We faught for the language that you can freely speak. Before hating us, get rid of the language from your tongue. It is people like you that plague this world. You are the South Asian German race of self-proclaimed Aryans. But sadly, you're mentality proves that you are far from it.
You have access to a computer and internet, and thankfully a keyboard. But your mentality and intelligence, and basic common sense is lower than that of a BANGLADESHI BEGGAR.
I did not attack you my fellow. I defended what I have the born right to defend, which is MY born nationality. You did not start this thread, and neither did I, but we are both here. So please do not tell me who started what. The parts of what i wrote that refer to you, you take. You did not talk about literacy, I know, then why are you getting confused. Take the points that were applied to you.
bangguyraj - Dont really worry for us the indian bengali people. Take care of your shit country which is full of islamic Mullahs Terrorists.
So far i know Hindi channels are most popular in Bangladesh than whole eastern india. Hindi films cds are available (surely Smuggled copies) in bangladesh shops even before it gets released in india.
all great Bengali songs are sang by non-Bengali singer. We do welcome different cultural people to mix up and share. That is call unity in diversity and that only possible in secular India.
Nothing is wrong with me except pointing out the truth. Thruth hurts, true! You Indian bengalis are about to be wiped off the Indian map completely in no time soon. You know that and you just proved it. And what do they (other Indians) say? They say much worse than the simple truth I've pointed out! So don't get hurt, I'm sure I'm not the first one! So you go, watch bollywood garbages and speak hindi, we will read Sunil.
my answer is same. U can carry on barking. No1 can hear u. Because i know its not your problem. It is a problem where u grown up. Kind of brain wash natural way.
Dude, you need some history lessons. The Bangla language movement started right after Pakistan's independence & the tragic incident took place when some DU students & others were killed after breaking the curfew on February 21, 1952.
Where do you find India here? While we well protected our language, you lost yours to Hindi so conveniently!
And speaking of India's help in 1971, that's another story, but all I can tell you, we don't feel we owe anyhting to India's political decision at all.
once i said u that .. time will reply u ... not me ... i think i am rt ... u will give u that answer ... if you love ur language thn u should respect others language also .... need to be more open and honest in thinking .... with the deep knowledge of history where u guys able to pull your country?
Yes I completely agree with nasim23. This was telecasted in a program "Kichu Kotha Kichu Gaan", hosted by Abdul Hadi. The program is to recall the classic bangla songs from both west bengal and Bangladesh. Bappa was just a mere performer to convey respect to those great musicians, it was not stealing.
I guess, you (manoo1960) dont know mr. Bhupen Hazarika sang this song in Bangla also. Bappa here, merely sang his song, with the complete reference to original singer in the beginning of the show (not part of this video).
Hi kbhiluda, there is a hindiversion of this song, with the title DIL HOOM HOOM KAREN,from the film Rudaali, this song is a composition of Dr Bhupen Hazarika, and Bappa Majumdar is doing a cover version.
This is the time when you want to know as many languages as you can. I used to work in N-E and fell in love with culture and I call Assam ManheeLand (Mother's Sister's Land). Dr. Hazarika is more than just a singer or writer or Phd. from Columbia, he is a revolution which did not happen but is dormant and will happen some day.
Thanks to Dr. Bhupen Hazarika for this wonderful music. I am proud of it. Good performance by Bappa. Showed lot of respect to Dr. Hazarika by doing it right.
Samira2710..the language of THIS song is not Assamese-its Bengali, sung by a popular singer Bappa da from Bangladesh-the original song is however in Assamese (very similar to Bengali) from Assam a state in eastern India bordering north east of Bangladesh :-)
Thanks for your clarification. It's a most wonderfully beautiful song. And the group just looks fantastic. Though I don't understand the lyrics, I can feel the emotions. Thanks again...
Hey, this song is originally in Assamese and composed by Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. It has a Hindi tranlation as well; and has been sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Dr. Hazarika in the movie Rudali.
I agree that pad drums player just killed it all. beautifully sang though, a little misque on 3:26, could be somekind of editing mistakes. And to masudbd its not a dram!!
just awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Dear Naveed,
Do you know Japan banned biman bangladesh for quite a long time?
Do you know Indian embassies have circulated red alert across the world to stop bangladeshi immegrants with fake indian passports?
I dont know how, but paying large amount of money, bangladeshis purchase indian passport in bangladesh then they come to india get visa and travel.
Believe me, I have stayed in US, UK, France, Japan everywhere for my particular position I have seen the statistics

A simple example, during independence you had 30% hindu, now 7-8%.
Where this people have gone?
Please check comments of your bangladeshi brothers, they are full of venoms. Anyway, I know that you have right to defend, me too.
I do think east west together is original.
anirbanbandyopadhyay 2 years ago
When Pakistan separated, were you not also thrown from there. Why are you speaking of religion now? You have no idea how many Hindu people are my very close friends here. Anyways, you and I both know that the events of our past were not our personal doing, but the outcome of decisions made on a greater, (and yes perhaps more unjust and uncivilized) scale of proportions.
naveed17 2 years ago
Who asked for separation & why?
maxiver 2 years ago
Just for the record, as of September 2009, Bangladesh's population is 16% Hindu. This information is taken from an online database. It is mostly personal choice that decides where a people of particular religion wish to reside.
naveed17 2 years ago
Check ur facts mate. Refer bangadesi census. Why did you done that to hindus?
Why did you kill them?
maxiver 2 years ago
@maxiver hindus were less than 20% during 1971. A large portion of them migrated to India and settled in North Kolkata. I am personally acquainted with many of them and their 2nd generation. So, after 71, the population of hindus in Bangladesh was never above 15%. Right now it is 11%. So it's really not a big difference and clearly the ones who left Bangladesh to India during 71 and afterwards, account for this small difference.
randominitializer 2 years ago
Really? Even if your data is accepted, a difference of 4 of % about 8 crore is no big difference! Leave that aside, check your facts first, confirm the bangladesi hindu population in 1971 & then come back. Its not your fault, the fault is in the religious doctrine in which you believe. The doctrine that makes people irrational & barbaric.
maxiver 2 years ago
Hindus thrown out from Bangladesh during 1971 is not Bengalis' fault. Why are you ranting about that now?! Go ask Pakistanis why they did it. There were more Muslim Bengalis dead in 1971 than hindu Bengali. Don't differentiate the victims by religion. It's disgusting. I heard few Indians speaking unspeakable words about Bangladesh. I dont blame all Indians for those few rascals. I'd expect the same kind of gratitude from you when commenting on Bangladesh or 1971.
randominitializer 2 years ago
Don't distort facts. 80% of the people killed at that time were Hindus. Leave that, tell about the Bangladesi state. What happened to the Hindus of Bangladesh after 1971. How have the their percentage in bangladesi population reduced so drastically? It even never happened during the long intolerant Turkish Mughal muslim rule. How ????
maxiver 2 years ago
@maxiver if anyone is distorting facts here then it is you. If 80% of the dead were hindus then why would Bangladeshis (who were 80% muslim) fight against Pakistan army?! That's just rubbish. More than 80% of the Bengalis dead were Muslim and the most concrete proof is that 95% or more Mukti bahini fighters who collaborated with Indian Army were Muslim Bengalis. Pakistan Army targeted the hindus only during March,71 but then they faced resistance from all Bengalis and killed Muslim Bengalis.
randominitializer 2 years ago
ReaLLY! I dare you find of yourself the truth. Just for instance, ask your elders of the massacre of hindus in 1962 when the then establishment spread the rumor that sacred relic of prophet has been burnt by hindus in kashmir. Lakhs were killed within hours that night.
Fear Allah!

We all have weakness for your country, do not destroy that. Muslims of your country threw our forefathers but many of our relatives still live there.
Never say that you are a hospitable nation. When we purchase bangladeshi foods we get news videos and journals we see how dirty you are.
News are anti indian full of lies, we laugh listenning to those, how come educated people speak like that.
Bangladesh should take leading position in bengali culture but it did not
anirbanbandyopadhyay 2 years ago
In my comment, there was some very good text and information about my country. Our professors are STILL going to your ******* country to teach your students. Why didn't you talk about that when I said that you guys (West Bengal) don't have any newspapers in the whole of Canada? Why didn't you talk when I said that west bengal people from THERE aren't helping west bengal people that are here? You obviously have eyes, but your brain is filtering the good things and you see the terrible things. I
XeroRoxasSaix 2 years ago
Dear Xero (part 2)
We dont migrate illegally to your country as you do. Your professors come to India to teach us!!!!! laughing madam laughing.
We dont need newspaper in Canada we have enough international standards paper published from calcutta circulating over millions all over the world.
4/5 bengali people helps others or not is not judged by small examples. Your brain is sick, you use these examples to show west bengal down, thats it.
anirbanbandyopadhyay 2 years ago
And when you use your examples of illegal immigration that is not just to put bangladeshis down right? You are so are so high above yourself and everyone else? Go and find out in Shanti Niketon, was or was not our Dr. Anisuzzaman there to teach as a visiting professor? Just because you dont KNOW or you don't AGREE that means the truth is inexistent?
naveed17 2 years ago
Dear Naveed,
Do you know the meaning of visiting professor?
I can invite any professor from any third world country to work with me. His status will be visiting professor. Believe me, it is not a big deal.
anirbanbandyopadhyay 2 years ago
Why not a big deal? From a BEGGAR country like mine, one who you continue to give insult and harass, and telling us that we are all illegal immigrants; for you to INVITE a professor to teach you, that IS a big deal. You wanted to prove that you are the cream, and that we are the waste? You are so hypocritical, you say you are not trying to insult us but all along that is your main intention. And it shows well.
naveed17 2 years ago
Dear Naveed,
You made mistake. For the totality of the situation it appeared like that I am trying to show bangladesh a waste.
I can never do that. If that appeared I beg to say sorry. That was not my purpose.
I attacked because I wanted to show that there are many negatives in bangladesh and west bengal is not alone.
Whole bengali race has downgraded. West Bengal largely because of communists, but again,
If I say bangladesh is a waste, then that is also an insult to me.
anirbanbandyopadhyay 2 years ago
Dear Naveed,
We can not share the credit betwen east and west.
Its high time to change this.
anirbanbandyopadhyay 2 years ago
Yes, to this I can agree.
naveed17 2 years ago
why can't you just enjoy the song here? Does this look like a good page to rant on your politics?! There are good defence forums for those stuff.
randominitializer 2 years ago
XeroRoxasSaix 2 years ago
Dear Xero,
Srosta is true example of the class of bangladesh.
You are mother of two but have enough sickness to spread venom. I did not start this thread. I saw your insulting comment against bengalis of india.
Instead of giving nice advices, try to see your past comments, you will see your levels. You are "worlds largest illegal immegrant supplier"
I have seen millions coming into west bengal, thousands coming to japan, UK and even in Canada,
anirbanbandyopadhyay 2 years ago
Do you know how to read? Nobody insulted Bengalis of India. There were points being given against the insult of BANGLADESHI's. Venon? Your NEXT line was venom: "worlds largest illegal immegrant supplier" . You truly are sick.
naveed17 2 years ago
Why are you so stuck on the point of illegal immigration on the part of Bengalis? There are enough illgal immigrants from INDIA living here in CANADA with no papers to prove anything. There is good and bad wherever you go in this world. No cake is truly perfect. Who said it's only Bangladeshi's that immigrate? Are you working on this? Have you seen it with your own eyes as it happens? My friend there are many illegal INDIAN immigrants across the world. You should know that, you're so smart.
naveed17 2 years ago
Dear Naveed,
The point is that, I had to take many cases of bangladeshi illegal immegrants in Japan since I know bengali.
All of them are caught with fake indian passport. Go to any country you will find illegal immegrants from bangladesh is so much that they compete with philipines and other south east asian countries
anirbanbandyopadhyay 2 years ago
You haven't dealt with cases for Indian immigrants yet, so that's why you assume there are more Bangladeshi than Indian. You're a classic hypocrite with a biased view.
naveed17 2 years ago

samira2710 2 years ago
And you are the cream of milk? Please, your intelligence level makes me laugh. And at the same time the narrowness of your collective perspective of things make me want to vomit. An INDIAN, Dr. AMIT KUMAR, made NATIONAL headlines for kidney trafficking kidneys of INDIAN people for the highest bidding patients. You rape and pillage your own kind. This is recent news from February 2008. This man lives in Canada. Search it and feel some shame.
naveed17 2 years ago
It is only us BANGLADESHIs that have given you shame face? Look at yourselves. It's hard, I understand, you must not have mirrors present where you are to be able to look at the kind of scum you are. Bengalis ruined YOUR world image? Dr. Kumar trafficked kidneys while living in Canada. Lol. We ruined your prestige because we don't have a brain such as to do these antics and come in the paper for it? Sorry, we're just too dumb for you then.
naveed17 2 years ago
They found out that Amit Kumar was not a doctor. But even if he was, why would he need to go to India and traffick kidneys? Because. You INDIANS are TYPICALLY greedy. You don't even spare your mothers. FOR MONEY you can do anything. This is just one of the many instances that can be presented here. Our BANGLADESHIs, if they lived in Canada even in impoverished conditions, they would never go to their country to do such things for money. I can solemnly swear it, I guarantee you that.
naveed17 2 years ago
We're not a hospitable nation? Why? Give me an instance, buddy. Let's debate. India is now categorized as a DEVELOPED country, where as BANGLADESH is still developING. And for that, a 50% literacy rate compared to INDIA's 61% is amazingly impressive.
naveed17 2 years ago
Bangladeshis are always under pressure because of their political situation. Their bad products can only go as far as to its neighbouring country, like you. But as for INDIAN products..HERE in CANADA, do you know what happens? There are many Indian businesses; grocery stores and restaurants INDIAN people here are selling expired products, which must be returned and argued against because once we return to the store with your shit product you refuse to reimburse the money.
naveed17 2 years ago
Of course products are not coming bad, but they are selling expired items. Why? Well my good friend, for money of course. So who is ruining whose image again? Hmm. As far as your restaurants go, my friend, I have witnessed countless Indian restaurants in trouble, remaining closed to avoid inspection. Because in all honesty, the majority of your nation's people's restaurants here are in no shape to pass any kind of inspection, let alone for food safety.
naveed17 2 years ago
Where your basmati rice and tandoori chicken is world reknown, why do you need to do this? But don't forget, for buying Elish Maachh (Hilsha Fish), you need to come to our country. As far as I know, there have been no news of casualties from any Indian eating our fish.

khub bhalo laglo!

XeroRoxasSaix 2 years ago
Dear Xero,
Please do not lie. Rabindranath died 1942, before division of bengal. So you are a dirty liar.
I am living in Japan, I know how bangladeshis get fake indian passport, your country is largest illegal immegrant supplier of the world.
Even being a small country you cannt keep your honor, you dirty guys have destroyed the world recognised prestige of bengalis. See Dhaka university.
We west bengalis being very small should follow you take your help, but see, condition..
anirbanbandyopadhyay 2 years ago
Dear Anirban,
What do you mean by the date of Rabindranath Tagore's death? Does that mean that he was never in Bangladesh? Maybe at that time we weren't the country called "Bangladesh," but the people were still Bengali, and Muslim. Everyone has an ass hole in their body. For that, does that mean that he/she will not be respected? Why do you only see the hole, the bad things of our country? Have you ever recognized the good things of our country?
XeroRoxasSaix 2 years ago
Dear Xero,
Even being mother of two you used enough bad language in your previous comments and spreaded venom against indians. So dont try to be nice now.
You said Tagore talked about Bangladesh's hospitality. He never did. Show me. Bangla was divided in 1946 prior independence. How come he talk about your bangladesh which effectively created in 1971?
Thats why you are liar.
anirbanbandyopadhyay 2 years ago
You're amusing. If you know the dates SO well then how can you miss the referrence that he was making to YOUR part of India which is NOW Bangladesh. Bangladesh did not come to existence at the time, but the PEOPLE were there, or did they spring out only from independence? Did you know that Tagore's Jomidar-bari is still in Bangladesh? What do you know about Tagore? Learn, read.
naveed17 2 years ago
Tagore was born in kolkata then calcutta. His house is in many beautiful places across bengal, including darjeeling. I know about silaidaha.
What I mean is that our origin is with similar peoples. Why just Tagore, Satyendranath Bose, Jagadish chandra bose. Many many are there.
We share cultural and scientific revolution of bengal. Then why trying to prove that current bangladesh is the original and we are fake?
anirbanbandyopadhyay 2 years ago
No one tried to prove you fake. As I said, I have presented defence that BANGLADESHI is no less of a people than those living in West Bengal. Read ALL my REPLIES CAREFULLY. Please.
naveed17 2 years ago
It shames me to know that the BDR actually fought for scum like you. BANGLA is a very rich culture and we have 200 years worth of history and literature. Which will never break through to people like you. Satyajit Ray needed to get an actress from our "beggar" of a country. That actress's name is Bobita. HRITIK GHATAK needed to come to our country SEVERAL times to make his film with our actors/actresses. So did Goutam Ghosh. I knew that intelligence and culture never had any limits.
XeroRoxasSaix 2 years ago
In 1977, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika sang this song (Megh Thom Thom Kore) for a Bangladeshi movie called Shimana Periye. Sixteen years after Shimana Periye in 1993, Bhupen Hazarika sang this song in the movie Rudaali, of course, in Hindi (Dil Huum Huum Kare). In 1952, we FOUGHT for our language. Now, on every 21st February, the WORLD celebrates a day called International Language Day. WE fought. WE lost lives. WE lost our blood. Whereas, YOU still exist.
XeroRoxasSaix 2 years ago
Where was the West Bengal people when they were in need!? I have provided the addresses of 3-4 West Bengal people to help them out. NO ONE HELPED! And you are spreading shit on us? You are the only creature who loves to hide their language, culture, and famous Bangalee manners only to immitate the foreign people. A proffessor named Dr. Anisuzzaman went to Shanti Niketon as a visiting proffessor from the poor country of Bangladesh. Dr. Mohammad Yunus got the Nobel Prize.
XeroRoxasSaix 2 years ago
Other West Bengal people don't even talk to them. That's the kind of unity and helping attitude that you have. Do you want any addresses? Who I know just from meeting them in the mall! Who became my friends and who's son is coming from any vacation or any kind of break to our house! From Windsor! On Eid, Hindu people from other parts of India came from the Waterloo University to my house, ate, and took food that I provided. They even stayed for the weekend!
XeroRoxasSaix 2 years ago

Bangladesis have started teaching us what to do!!! eh ....a country having 19% literacy rate - how many people read books??? 1%- 2 % And what books?? all copies of Indian bengali books. Make your facts correct and really dont worry for us .
And stop coming to India.....Idiots!!!!!
debdina 2 years ago
Don't worry about us. Time and again we have proved how to survive and what to achieve. We don't have anyhting to prove to you Indian bangalis that are considered 4th class citizens of the country that have influence on nothing. We will do good as long as your daddy India mind it's own business & don't act a midget king. If it wants to, go confront China! And don't provide garbage data out of your rage, I'm in no mood to counter your non-sense. Just try to be an average Indian, will ya?
bangguyraj 2 years ago
debdina, what a stinky douchebag you're? Aren't you some cheap slaves to the north-western Indians in your very own state? Aren't you some most disliked impotent worthless orphans in an all-Indian standard/context? Aren't you slapped everyday by Hindi/Urdu speaking people? Don't most of the Calcutta based intellectuals/writers hail from Bangaldesh? You impotent loosers only know how to mourn over "Could Have", "Should Have", "Exploitation". You're some Big Mouth Sorry Asses cry foul only!
ffffacjh 2 years ago
And you worthless stingy cheap asses must shut your dirty pieholes knowing that more or little what we have in Bangaldesh, it's ours, we own them. On the contrary, what you have is just your own shits, nothing else; because you yourselves are owned by others, let alone the assets! You're the most identity loser among all the Indians that include your very language. However, you impotent fags have no balls to stand up & become either a dominating force or be an independent state like we do.
ffffacjh 2 years ago 2
You poor bastard. You would look far more intelligent with your replies if you stopped pulling numbers out your ass. For your information, statistically Bangladesh has a literacy rate of 47.9%, and if you're too dumb to know how to round, that's 48%, nearly 50% of the entire population. That is saying a lot for a country has lost so much blood trying to be independent, after being raped and pillaged by Pakistan, and surviving one of the worst famines in the modern world.
naveed17 2 years ago
It's sad the way you look so down upon a portion of your own country. Only an INDIAN such as YOU would go to such a feat. Along with the 26 official languages, as well as the many more unofficial ones, in India, the BANGLA language ranks second at 8.1%, that is nearly 10%, of the spoken LANGUAGE in INDIA. So we are not coming to you, we have been there from before. In addition to that, we have a large contribution not only to your economy but history as well.
naveed17 2 years ago
Being a part of INDIA you think YOU are more superior to us? We faught for the language that you can freely speak. Before hating us, get rid of the language from your tongue. It is people like you that plague this world. You are the South Asian German race of self-proclaimed Aryans. But sadly, you're mentality proves that you are far from it.
naveed17 2 years ago
You have access to a computer and internet, and thankfully a keyboard. But your mentality and intelligence, and basic common sense is lower than that of a BANGLADESHI BEGGAR.
This was for you, debdina and anirban
naveed17 2 years ago
Dear Naveed,
If you have education, then answer the allegations properly. If you use bad languages you will show poor standard of your country.
Did I talk about literacy? You have a keyboard that means you open a text book and copy anything?
Do you know I did not start this thread. Many bangladeshis like you were constantly attacking west bengalis.

Where do you find India here? While we well protected our language, you lost yours to Hindi so conveniently!
And speaking of India's help in 1971, that's another story, but all I can tell you, we don't feel we owe anyhting to India's political decision at all.

This is the time when you want to know as many languages as you can. I used to work in N-E and fell in love with culture and I call Assam ManheeLand (Mother's Sister's Land). Dr. Hazarika is more than just a singer or writer or Phd. from Columbia, he is a revolution which did not happen but is dormant and will happen some day.

absolutely. This is wonderful version of that socialist singer who wanted so much for society :)-

The original version is from Assam in India and by Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.

Thank you. What is the meaning of the title?
samira2710 3 years ago
The assamese song title is Meghe Dhom Dhom kore
It means that "Thunderclouds sound" .
Megh in any Indian language (like Assamese) means clouds.
Dhom Dhom is like the beating of the drums.
So, in a gist, it means the sound of approaching thunderstorms.

Thanks, Mondweep. I know there are many languages in India, but this is the first I've heard of Assamese. Thanks again for your translation.
