sadly to say I know what spawned this song... I'm old enough to remember the TV shows about the owner of the ship named Calypso Jacques-Yves Cousteau ... thats why I fell in love with the creatures of the seas..
I don't think there is a better spokesperson for our planet today than John was. We need his music like we need the wind. Thank you John. How would he feel about the Gulf Oil Disaster??? Who the hell speaks for those of us who reject the corporate world and live responsible self-reliant lives???
Oh, I have tears in my eyes. I grew up listening to John Denver, and this is a powerful memory for me. I will always be sad that he died so young. Thank you for this beautiful experience.
Just remember that no one ever leaves, every rustle of the trees, every drop of the rain, every day of sun, or day or snow, he is there for you. He can now do everything he wants. God Bless You Both.
^^ My first comment ever. This song plays over the radio at work every now and then. It's such a relaxing song, and the video you've put together is so perfect. Great job.
Wow. Breathtaking. Your interest in John Denver is lovely to see as you make his thoughts and music come alive for me and many others.Well done again and keep up the lovely videos. You appear to be a very interesting woman with many ideas. cb
I was aboard Calypso when John visited us. He was a great guy. His visit inspired him to write the song.

I'm so bloody sick of the 'advertisements' that we have to listen to before the actual song!!!
01Mary02 3 months ago
@01Mary02 Nothing I can do about the adverts... Sony own the copyrights to the music . Sorry! :-(
