As a libertarian in the U.S. I believe it's wrong for State government and Federal government to think they have the right to outlaw a certain style of living if it causes no harm to others. I also think it's absurd to deny a certain group basic living rights. Everyone is eligible for their OWN social security, but survivor benefits (what the video is about) is for married couples only. So it really isn't a social security issue but a marriage issue, which is a completely different argument altogether. The video is being deceptive by confusing the two. If social security started giving survivor benefits to couples who just live together, then they would have to give it to straight couples who just live together too.
@berjaboy, But the problem is a bit different than you explained. Even if a homosexual couple is legally married, the social security administration still does not consider it a marriage. This is despite having the exact same "credentials" that a heterosexual couple would have in the same situation. This does not apply to unmarried couples at all, regardless of their sexual preferences or how long they've cohabited. Do you believe it is fair to deny the benefit to married gay survivors or not?

I can't see someone convincing me to "decide" to get viscerally excited by men. It doesn't seem like a choice to me. Being gay is not GENETIC there would be a 100% ratio if it was. Being gay is a choice and or preference or learned behavior.

They've written a number of great books, like "the stuff of thought" or "consciousness explained" that have really helped me understand my own mind. I read them over and over because they're just jam packed with useful and very deep insight into the cognitive space that we are confined within.

As a libertarian in the U.S. I believe it's wrong for State government and Federal government to think they have the right to outlaw a certain style of living if it causes no harm to others. I also think it's absurd to deny a certain group basic living rights. Unfortunately i can't say I am able to support this movement, because as much as i like to, being a Christian, i believe i am going against my religion to vote in favor of a change. is anyone else in this line of belief?

Compare someone without the genetics to someone with the 'fat' genetics, and you'll see that even if they eat the exact same foods, the one with the genetic history will gain weight faster.

Everyone is eligible for their OWN social security, but survivor benefits (what the video is about) is for married couples only. So it really isn't a social security issue but a marriage issue, which is a completely different argument altogether. The video is being deceptive by confusing the two. If social security started giving survivor benefits to couples who just live together, then they would have to give it to straight couples who just live together too.

@berjaboy, But the problem is a bit different than you explained. Even if a homosexual couple is legally married, the social security administration still does not consider it a marriage. This is despite having the exact same "credentials" that a heterosexual couple would have in the same situation. This does not apply to unmarried couples at all, regardless of their sexual preferences or how long they've cohabited. Do you believe it is fair to deny the benefit to married gay survivors or not?

I can't see someone convincing me to "decide" to get viscerally excited by men. It doesn't seem like a choice to me. But I suppose for a person who does find their own sex stimulating, it might appear as if it was a choice. But I do think we are genetically predisposed to enjoy eating chocolate! All sweets.

They've written a number of great books, like "the stuff of thought" or "consciousness explained" that have really helped me understand my own mind. There are a number of videos on YT that contain talks, discussions, and even some complete audio books from these men. I read them over and over because they're just jam packed with useful and very deep insight into the cognitive space that we are confined within.

If anyone cares to notice the potty language(particularly those replying some of my posts) used by those defending sodomy; they stick their fingers in it, they lick it, they eat it, they have sex with it, they dream about it, .. it's no suprise when they speak it, and of course, their 'commercials' full of it. They are convinced that square peg is meant to fit in the round hole. And they're convinced that I am the one that is sick:-)

613simcha hmm, thanks for you words, and bless you too, since 'relapsing' into the real world of Truth, I thought things are getting better, and for me; they are. As to this single dimensional world of chat can be so often misleading as to the true representation of a 'post', I can assure, as little or much as I know, God is not on my neck, but in my heart., and hopefully coming out on the keyboard and guiding someone to the Truth.... I am only a conduit if He chooses.

Which category does humanity fall into? And if your answer is not animal, I would be quite interested in what distinction you made between humans and animals, and why they fit in whatever category you believe they do.

@Bttscks grow up most human knows that we are different from animals it is the animals which think humans are there equals. Humans are just that, they fall into the category of humanity the definition means: "The quality of being human; the peculiar nature of man, by which he is distinguished from other beings". that means that we are "distinguished from" animals. continuous in next post

@Adam9DeLeo Other animals think no such thing. The thought likely never crosses their mind. Do you think your average dog even has concepts of equality or humanity, or even... of being a dog. They simply are and they do. However we are certainly animals. We have every single requirement of the kingdom Animalia.
You are displaying a gross lack of understanding in what an animal is in continuing to argue this point. Unless you can tell me what feature of an animal we lack, you cannot insist such.

@Bttscks and if we descended from the monkey why is there no cross breeds walking around even if something is 99.99% the same it is still not the same but monkeys have 98% similar DNA to our own meaning they are monkeys not humans. like a gold ring is a gold ring and gold ore is gold ore, someone must shape it but to create something out of nothing is Gods work only no human can do this not now not ever. @Adam9DeLeo We are not descended from modern monkeys, we share an ancestor with modern apes. An ancestor that is likely extinct, due to the modern species beating them out for food.
The simply fact is we have branched off separately so much that we are no longer biologically compatible with other modern apes.
Of course this is all irrelevant, because even if we did not evolve from primates, you have still not offered empirical evidence for us NOT being part of the kingdom animalia.

@Adam9DeLeo That's an odd opinion to jump to. I believe what science can demonstrate, you believe what an old man with a book tells you... and yet I'm the one who likes to be told what to believe... interesting.
By the way, could you do me a favor and try to work on that spelling, it's a pain having to reread sentences to try to decipher what you meant to say. For example, I assume you meant "special" and not "spacial" which is, in fact, a completely different word. Also, use punctuation.

@Bttscks spelling is not everything, and typos do happen. if u believe in evolution then believe in this God made it all the big bang explains it all. From nothing became everything, read the Holy Bible how can a man tell u in great detail everything that happen i find that the Holy Bible in Aramaic language is not translated so it is most like the original Holy Bible.
