I kick myself for not having bought any of their albums, EP's, singles, and what not when the band was together. Luckily I have all four of their CD's today.
This was about the last time/era (early 90's) when I was on the cutting edge with music etc...hard to believe it's been 15 or so years. VG was a good band...never really got their due.
I've always thought Copacetic was one of THEE best production jobs of all time- Bob Weston!! Listening on headphones to songs like "Here Comes," you'd swear the band was in your room.
Funny that he says it is one of his worst jobs... And I disagree, of course. I think he feels he misrepresented the sound of the band (which is partially true, because they were never that "heavy").
I remember seeing these guys open for Belly in 1993 or so... I was kinda hooked after that... haven't heard these guys in a while!! Thanks for posting.
This has been called "bubblegrunge" -- which isn't a bad thing. It's a fun, catchy song with more lyrical and musical complexity than most pop trash before or since.
I totally wish I was 15 in '93 instead of being 15 in 2012...

Wow, all these years later, and I still remember the lyrics. I should dig this album out of my collection and play it a bit.

It was a great record, and the music is raw and untainted. Sarah was so hot.

Sounds like something I'd here on an episode of My So-Called Life. I miss the 90's! Now I'm 26: Old, wrinkled, and unhip :(

I was there too, I saw the dorky gyrating white dude, and I got a kiss on the cheek from Sarah, and a guitar pick from Archie.

God I was in love with Sarah. I would have jumped on her in the tour van if it wasnt statutory rape (for her)

Closest I got was buying her a drink before a show at the old Black Cat in DC...

Bubblegrunge - that's priceless!
It does sort of make the grunge element seem irrelevant - like digital reverb on '80's music, or that "recorded-in-a-carpeted-closet" '70's sound.
Be interesting to hear if the song holds up without the fuzz.
