  • VERY nice !!!!!! Many thanks for taking the time to comment, much appreciated.

  • I'm a special education teacher at Vincent High School in Milwaukee. I actually recorded this record in 1964 with the Dells singing background. Richard Parker Chuck Barksdale and Barrett Strong (Money). I stopped singing when Vee Jay Records was closed down by the IRS in 1965. I also have a degree in Music Theater from Roosevelt University in Chicago and a Masters in Special Education. I do miss singing and teaching the Arts.

  • Thanks so much for the PM, and sincere thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, I can`t tell you how much it means to make contact. If Youtube ever had a purpose, it was to share great music and make contact with like minded people, and every now and again the Artists involved take it to the limit of enjoyment, thank you.

  • In agreement with you SoulsurferUK08.

  • Many thanks for taking the time to comment, hope you enjoyed this one. Thanks again.

  • Hello from Philadelphia --- Thanks for sharing this ... Always a fav --- She evidently also recorded on Atco before this

  • Hi to Philly, many thanks for the comment it`s much appreciated, my pleasure to share this great track. Learning more all the time about this great vocal, although I guessed there was more than one version.

  • LUV IT.

  • That makes two of us, its just such a classy vocal , it really hits the spot. Many thanks again for taking time out to leave a comment.

  • Thanks for the reply Nat1831, I did find out that "Really Really Love You " was by Ronnie Walker. Thanks !!!!!!!

  • Nat1831 since your from philly can you tell me the name of the group that made the song "really really love you" also a 60's love song.

  • I just saw this a couple of days ago. The answer might be Mary Wells " The One who Really Loves You"

I believe it has that line in it and she has a male group backing her up.

  • You're very welcome, and yes, the Dells did work hard. I guess they learned that during their tenure working with the late, great Dinah Washington.

  • This made Billboard's R&B charts in 1968. The Dells are doing the background vocals on this.

  • Thanks for taking the time to post a comment, and many thanks for the info. regarding the Dells doing the backing vocals, I knew thay did backing vocals for Barbara Lewis, they worked hard for their money it seems. LOL

  • Hi,Thanks for leaving a comment. Probably more than one version of this I guess, its a great vocal and like you, I love it !!!!

  • As a child WDAS radio in Philly played this song to death. I love it.

But the copy I have sounds a little bit different, still great though.
