  • Haha I've seen that I used to live In Wichita and now only live about 30 mins away from there. This store cracks me up.

  • @Bear11B, you know that is not true.

  • I love this store. They let you lie down in the caskets and rest. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO, what is wrong with that???!?!??!?

  • Whats the big deal, Wally World is already selling them online!

  • Sorry, but there is a reason they have funeral homes and places to sell caskets other than a mall. Since when is the mall a personal place for lost loved ones? I dont think much consideration was involved. I'm sorry but there is a time and place.

  • I thought it was really neat until he said he was a Duke fan....TARHEELS baby!

  • I live near Wichita Ks and did not know they sold caskets...surprised.

  • Thanks NCDukefan 12. I live in Wichita and have walked past this store a few times, but have never been inside. I'm checking it out next time I'm in the mall!

  • Thanks NCDukefan 12. I live in Wichita and have walked past this store a few times, but have never been inside. I'm checking it out next time I'm in the mall!

  • That's my friend Tracy.....she's one smart cookie!

  • omfg lol thats my place

  • Better to get put back on the map for something like this rather than BTK or Michael Soles

on the top of a downtown hotel shooting people like the Texas Tower incident way back

when. Guess there will always be copycats.

  • Only in Wichita Kansas...our home town!

  • This is 2010, so why would we be surprised? lol

  • This is 2010, so why would we be surprised? lol

  • There was a store in Topeka that sold caskets--it was located on 21st street just west of Gage Blvd.

  • Guess I need to head to Towne West. Never go there since I am a couple miles from Towne East. Kind of creepy though!

  • WOW~ I have to check it out next time I go back home to KS. I'm shocked there is so many diff. ways to rem. our love ones. The ways they do it now to meet everyones needs.

I have to say I do LOVE the KU one.

  • @starlight71701 , i agree

  • I have walked by this store~~ now I can say I've been inside it!

Thank you for putting Wichita~on the map~~again!!

    by the way~~GO KU!!!

  • did they have the photon torpedo?

  • Just put me in a Sonic cup!

  • i live in wichita but on the east side so theres a mall on the east side but i mite try 2 visit the west mall soon

  • I live here in Wichita, and I just talked with the owner yesterday, he's been offered several franchisees across the US. Only in Wichita can you find something so unique and it looks like it's doing quite well.

  • I live here in Wichita and I met the owner on their opening day. I'm glad to know they're doing well and I talked to the owner just yesterday, he tells me they've been asked to open several franchisees across America. Looks like this idea is taking of quite well, and only in Wichita can you have a test market for something so unique as this.

  • Not sure why this is such a big deal. It's just a product. They don't actually have services or bodies in the store. Would be an idea......a funeral service at the mall.

  • ahh cool firemen.

  • I think it is rather odd to walk into a mall and see this but whatever floats your boat. if you make money why not do this it is porbably raher fun and may confort in some way the old people or families of the older people! I hope to hear and see more stores like this. I also think a tv show like goodmorning america should check this out!!!!!

  • There are reasons why this store will do very well. First this is WAY ahead of the curve. Second, the people who own it are sharp and driven. Hope within the next five years I hear that they open a dozen (or more) stores all over the states.

  • I was born and raised in Wichita and live in Asheville. I must say that I am rather surprised that you found a store like this there. Next, I need to find out if any of my family or friends have been to this store.

  • Death is inevitable. It only makes sense that you should have your last big event done the way you want it. I think it's a great idea.

  • kansas, huh? that's a pretty depressing mall..and not even for the coffins.

  • Sort of sick i think

  • @Bobbie1W You can order caskets online from Costco; I wonder what their return policy is?

  • @mk84ldb , what a return policy, ha ha , why,

  • Wow what a great idea.

  • That's cool

  • i live in wichita....and yes...only in kansas

  • I live close to Greenville N.C. too. But I don't Like Duke. UNC all the way!!! Duke fans Are cool though :)

  • it looks creepy but i think its not a bad idea i mean u have the choice at least to pick ur gasket in tha way u like !! we have to be sure that some day we r going to be in one of those things, so i dont think its a bad idea i leke it !!!!!!!!!!!

  • this video looks like its promoting the casket store.....

  • This is not correct, not in a mall.

  • shit hapens in kansas lol

    but nice tough lol

  • I love how this went from "OMG Casket Shop! What the poop?!" to "Dude, these are cool.. Can I get a Duke?!"

  • Thats so awsome!! xD I want one as a bed!<3 haha

  • who knew caskets could be so badass

  • That is wrong

  • This is weird. #LOL

  • Its really not that weird, here in California we have casket shops, casket warehouses, casket discounters all over the place. At malls, strip malls, etc, They even sell them at Costco. I guess when you live in Kansas, anything will get you excited though.

  • That is cool haha i feel like this video accidently turned into an informercial hahah for sure im buy things there if anything happens I sure hope not tho

  • Made in China?

  • Haven't been to that mall in years. We have been going to the one on Rock Rd.

Next time we're in Wichita, we'll check that out! What a cool idea.

  • I love this store. I think all the ideas are amazing. The lady is right, who really goes to look at caskets until that time comes for a loved one. I hope my family all takes a good look at that KU casket......its totally mine!

  • @amberwilsonsmith, fact is people under the stress of a death make horrible choices, spend waaay too much money on funeral expenses. Usually it's money they don't have but want to keep up appearances. This store puts it right up front, showing it's not all black and sad. More of a celebration of life. They probably don't make much money in advance purchases, but people likely remember them when a loved one dies . . .

  • I loved this....thanks for posting, it was right here in my back yard and had no clue the store was even there...will have to make a trip in to check it out the next time I am in Wichita...hope this business does well!

  • I would want a urn shaped like the motorcycle gas tank. But...would NOT want to wear ashes around my neck!!!!!!!!!

  • @MissLaurie40, maybe not now, but there might come a time when having some ashes (it's never all of them) with you on a necklace or in a charm, would serve to provide comfort in times of need. There are places that make diamonds from ashes too . . . I thought about it (both parents are dead and cremated), but decided against it, mostly just because but it's also expensive.

  • At first I thought man anyone will try to make a buck.... But then after seeing all the cool and different things I was like you know that's actually pretty cool and different

  • love it!

  • I am glad that somone is finally giving the funeral homes some competion. I love this video, What a great idea for a life situation that people have now have a choice to go somewhere else to purchase these necesseties with so much personality and personalization (at a lesser cost I hope?) I cant wait until they make it to my area. Thank you for sharing!

  • @janthepayne Yes things have changed for the better, that store is cool

  • @NCDukefan12 was it rather expensive?

  • @DrUmZaDdIcT121 I was surprised that it wasn't as high as I thought it would be. I asked the owner and she said that a custom casket from them was about the same price as a standard casket from a funeral home. Nothing in there was over 4500 if I remember correctly and that was the Firefighter one, a specialty item.

  • @NCDukefan12 thats awesome thanks man great video!

  • Things in my home town have changed...

  • This should be a reality show. I'd watch it!

  • Same here I help set it up to

  • I help set this up and i loved all the strange faces people made. Also like the necklaces

  • Love the urns
