Christian Bale is one of the best actors of all time and is the best actor of my generation (1974). He chooses his roles well and is not afraid to take great risks to deliver genuine acting. He isn't after commercial suceess but on the quality of the roles he portrays, as The Machinist shows. He's a work of art -- extremely talented, georgeous and sexy. I adore him.

Empire of the Sun is one of my favorite movies since I was a kid. I've always had love and fascination with flying so I connected with the Jamie character. I also like how Jamie's emotional, mental, psychological maturity develops from spoiled brat to an independent self sufficient young man. The Prestige was also awesome. It's great to see a child actor become a successful adult actor. There's kid actors in the "Where are they now" files.

I really admire Mr. Bale. He's always chosen roles that are truly memorable, even if they aren't always "mainstream." As for that American Psycho bit (one of my favorite movies!), they showed my favorite part from that film where he calls his lawyer there at the end. It's always a pleasure to see what he chooses to do next. Dark Knight was astounding--everyone has such amazing performances! The next/last one should prove to be equally phenomenal.

Christian has said in multiple interviews that he found it hard to shake the American accent after doing Batman because he HAD to use it for over 9 months during filming. That is why he talks with an accent during interviews for Batman. If he wasn't true to his roots he would have lost his gorgeous English accent years ago..understand!
