  • His voice is beauty.

  • Excelente matiz vocal

  • is he on lsd ?

  • @ZoeMushroom I mean that in a positive way

  • I don't think this is actually a live audience. They look pretty dead to me.

  • i like the song my sister and brother in law put me on to him

  • I first heard Kurt Elling on one of those cd scanners at Barnes And Noble...you know...where you can listen before you buy? Anyway, I didn't like him at all. I thought his voice was too straight and plain. I thought he had no soul. At the time, I was digging Frank Sinatra. Then I saw Kurt live at Jazz Alley in Seattle. Holy shit man! That's when I Got It.

  • I simply don't think his voice is very good. It is always the same, isn't it?

  • @Plush4906 You are truly not listening......

  • amazing

  • Is this audience alive? Is it a crime to move to music in their country? Why even go? Robots :)

  • @FearLessPower Yes, it is seen a crime to move to the music in our country. People tend to freeze at concerts, thinking "OMG, I'm so in style, I payed 50 euros for the ticket to this fantastic concert of the artist I hadn't heard of before, I must behave like I don't care so that everybody thinks that im an expert not just an ordinary music enthusiast."

  • I love his voice, so smooth and velvety. This song is so sexy.

  • Incredible!!!!!

  • this is what i call a crackhead db solo.

  • *swoon*

    as always...

  • he scats like he is doing an impression of a saxophone

  • Its called Vocalise.....the vocal interpretation of an instrument....he is a beast at it too!

  • sorry, but i must correct you. "Vocalise" is simply a vocal exercise without words, a practice dating back to even the 18th century (don't believe me, go read the Wikipedia article.) And then "vocalese" is when lyrics are written to originally all instrumental compositions or improvisations.

he's still a BEAST at scatting, but it's just called an instrumental approach (which really should be what all scatters strive for, in my opinion), there's no other term for it.

  • Nah, they just are not familiar with his amazing album "Man in the Air"

  • I just saw him last night in San Francisco. Amazing. This is crowd is bunk and needs to go to bed.

  • Billions? Are you a retard?

  • It was the german in poland.. but never mind

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah...tough crowd....I like his way...esp.his vocalize ...that's a crowd warmer...lol

  • Kurt is fabulous. the audience looks like a bunch of stiffs.

    hahahaha Tough crowd.....

  • Just like his performance in Kansas City, Mo... Me and my friend were the only one's clappings and hollerin'. lol. We had a frikkin ball. He was awesome.

  • pamiętamy...

    i czekamy...

  • hey, 'Fabryka Trzciny' :p

  • This video doesn't blow my mind from here to zimbab... well, warsaw.

    Just kidding =-)

  • Spettacolo!

  • I love his voice! I can listening him the whole day. He's amazing!

  • The bass peaking is pissing me off like no other.

  • I met him. He's a real nice guy. If he was full of himself on stage...YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE. lol It's called swaggar, stage presence. If you're gonna be up there...Act like you own the stage. And he owns that motherfucker. No harm in being "full of it" when you can back it up.

  • agree..,it's called showmanship and improvisation.

  • Excellent. Love the pseudo-Tuvan stuff he runs through during the cadenza near the end.

  • Yeah, i have never heard him do that. It was so cool though.

  • one of my favourites.. I still regret not going to his concert.

  • This is not my favorite song, but I really appreciate how your video shows Hobgood and Amster working together. That's really awesome to see.

  • Oh Yeahhhh!!!

  • Kurt rules!I love his music, filosophy, lyrics(or poems?)..everything..he is really open mind human, not just musician

  • great!!!

  • absolutely incredible. brilliant. you're a legend kurt elling. a Legend.

  • Piękne ^_^

  • I've been waiting on someone to post a vid of Kurt singing this!!!! Kurt Elling is the truth. Butter vocals.

  • Unbelievable. How is he not more famous. His name should be wellknown. Outstanding performance, i just put it on my myspace profile. That means a lot.

  • aahh but he is famous!!

  • More Kurt Elling is good! Saw them on this same tour in Raleigh, NC, USA, just fantastic.

  • ministerdmac, I'm glad you loved the video, but I'm sorry, it would be illegal to sell the video. Now freely sharing it...I'm not sure about that

  • I saw him in Oakland last Saturday night. The man is the best singer alive! Does anyone know where we can purchase this video?

  • he is not the best singer alive.
