  • What a superb voice and a really great way that this artist sings the lyrics...really great...The lyrics are so nice.

  • I remember this show, wonderful memories.

  • No one else has ever put it across like Hank, and I believe this one was one of his best. He had the ability to make each song his own whether he had written it or not.

  • Not the mother's best show but a morning show Red Foley had

  • Hi, The Great Hank Williams Sr. Jammed with my grandfather Lee Vance in Kentucky and Tenn., in the Late 30's and 40's and 50's..There was a recording, I have never heard it..I'd love to hear grandpa's voice or playing

  • The New Country Music is a disgrace to America. It just dosnet get and better than Hank Williams Sr. And probably never will

  • Hank Sr is the Robert Johnson of country music

  • @notrealy180217 Apples are the oranges of fruit.

  • The greatest that ever lived....hands down.

  • ITS THE ONE REGRET I'LL CARRY WITH ME TO MY GRAVE

  • that's Red Foley

  • AWESOME song and what a treat to come to this Sunday Morning..:):) No ONE in the history of country music as it really was has EVER taken this man"s place and NEVER WILL...I see video's here on YT all the time with people as young as 14 singing and boasting that Hank Sr. is the KING of Country and that's amazing to me that even now his influence is still going strong!

Thanks HANKWILLIAMS1924 for sharing..! Hugs, Joyce xx♥

  • hank williams was the best i remeber hearing hank on the radio way back when i rember hank singing on the radio the song this land is your land i can tell you first hand he sang it better then woody i love woody guthrie dont get me wrong but hanks the best its a shame that song hank sang is lost in memory it was live radio and not recorded

  • Don Helms with comments behide the facts of "MGM" and on steel guitar. Hank and his 1950-1952 Drfiting Cowboys are still # 1.

  • "THE KING"

  • Hank Jr and 3 are pretty good but no man before or after conveys the emotion in a song like HANK SR did, awsome talent.

  • I will never tire of hearing this song

  • This is great, and what a pricless video,Love this oldie from Hank. Thankyou JT for sending my way & thankyou Alan for sharing this classic. - Geena.

  • wow, double wow, that's some powerfull stuff!

  • Hank playin' baseball :)

  • @ozarkkeegan more like he got caught drinking in the alley before work.

  • @Sauerkrautification and still sung the crap out of that thang

  • @Sauerkrautification and still sung the crap out of that thang

    aint nobody no better

  • This is "Country Music" at its' finest..No artist now or since can compare with the GREAT Hank Williams Sr...Thanks for sharing!!

  • good God, this is my life. how old Hank coped with so much pain in his life is way beyond me

  • Thanks again Alan. I get chills everytime I hear this. People nowadays don't understand how revolutionary such an emotional song was at the time. Leon Payne wrote this one, and he wrote "Lost Highway' too, but Hank sings it as if it were his own.

  • Hank could be hungover or stoned out of his mind and still play and sing circles around any of these artist today. All I can say is how many artist do you know that sound exactly the same live as they do on a record? You have all these artist today that sound great on a record but sound like crap live on stage.

  • whoooo!

  • thats because back in the day they didnt have power tools and computers you actually had to have talent to sing or play succesfully

  • *Cough Cough...watch Taylor Swift live. It's terrible.

Hank was one of a kind, and always sounded amazing.

  • Don't get me started! Ha... does country exist anymore?? Well, I know it does, but it sure as hell's not that garbage on CMT. It's water downed pop-rock with cowboy hats and the occasional fiddle, it's a damn disgrace to American Music and our Heritage. We need to get back to the real Country, real Rock n Roll and real blues. That's the real stuff right there.

  • Check out The Black Keysand Lucero. They're damned good, maybe not as good as Hank but not many are these days.

  • Absolute classic Alan,thanks.

  • How great, revealing, to hear Hank speaking informally...possibly hungover...bantering with friends.

You can see the real guy, as well as the genius.

    Beautiful, bittersweet.
