magnifique quelle série! quelle chanson! j'ai acheté un petit cabriolet à l'age de 30 ans rien que pour le plaisir de rouler de nuit et écouter ce titre à fond
This ecene was from the pilot episode. NBC would just put this clip in the trailer and just air it before the pilot episode aired. Everybody would take note from it. That sunday night my family was glued to the tv for the next 2 hours and every friday night for 1 hour for the next 5 years.
Im not old enough to remember seeing this on T.V but this has to be the coolest scene in my life. Well next to the scene in Due Date when they was getting stoned to Pink Floyd.
phill collins, ferrari, miami night, those faces, those camera views...god damn its just beautiful. AND I WAS IN 86 !!! most of my year mates live in CSI world...and im not even trying to compare this to csi...csi is just a tv show...this is something beyond
The kids who did not get to experience the 1980`s really missed something.I can not even begin to describe that decade. It was something special that will never happen again. The teenagers were good, music good, economy great.I could go on and on and could never describe it.You have to have lived it.I am glad I did.Good memories.
@TheUSA1945 you know id have done anything to have grown up during the 80s i was born in 87 so dont really remember much of them lol if i had the option i think 1973 would have been a good vintage to have been born cause id have spent my teenage years in the 80s they just seemed like such a more awesome time to have been alive
This track is sooo inspiring to make you drive your car deep in the night.... then wait for the HOOK....AND HAMMER IT DOWN TILL YOUR BLUE IN THE FACE OR WATCHING BLUE LIGHTS IN THE REAR VIEW.
@sobe9ball Yeah you can. I've seen lambo's, ferrari's, and other exotics racing on Biscayne Blvd all the time! I know because I've raced quite a few..... and lost. LOL..
The most memorable scene in TV of the entire 80's decade. Straight classic. The dialogue, the music, the car...the whole feeling one gets from watching this is incredible. Watched the pilot episode in it's entirety (commercials and all) at it's first airing on NBC in 1984. Fell in love with the show instantly. Glad I was able to witness television history being made firsthand and not thru syndication or DVD's.
I wish there was a 720-1080P version of this here. You know, from the 2006 HD re-broadcast of the original pilot they did to promote the movie(which wasn't nearly as good).
@gurugangstarr1 its a kitcar ..... was a vette with daytona exterior parts ... then miami vice became bigger and bigger and Ferrari decided to give em a Testarossa and the Daytona should get destroyed
If your playing this song in your car while driving at night, I don't think you have to stop at red lights. It's known as the, ' Cool Ass Hell Exempt Law ' :)
i agree with you synthpatheti, i also would say that the style of micheal mann : a perfect mix of music, cit landscape (specially on night) and cool actors scenes. (see collateral with the wolf scene... magic...)

@ABCMeEFG greatest show moment in the 80s: miami vice and this scene in general which perfectly describes it. gretest moment in film in the 80s: tony montana being gunned down at the end of scarface B)
rofl!!! ok, so you watch this scene and think "there's absolutely no one would try to recreate this epic piece of shit in the form of a movie, that would be too much" and then you really laugh your ass off at that atrocity that came out in 2006 with jamie foxx. I mean thats just too much! lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You got that right brother!!! Everything now a days is stupid CSI and shit. If you've seen one episode you've seen 'em all. Miami Vice on the other hand had originality and good writers before t.v. turned to shit... if you know what I mean!!?? Peace my friends!
@cherDJ Too late, this one is destroyed, ferrari orders cause its a replica.
Ferrari was'nt pleased with a replica in the best tv show, so they offered the makers of miami vice a real genuine testarossa but the "daytona" ( Corvette c3 base) must be destroyed. however it was indeed a sweet car:)
It was not a real Daytona, it was a replica built on a Corvette chassis. When Ferrari found out that they were using a replica, they donated them a real Ferrari if they destroy the fake one. That's why the "Daytona" gets blown up, and then comes a genuine Testarossa ;)
@vdochev Thank you - I didn't know that - if Ferrari would make me a promise like that, I'd blow up my car too LOL !!! The black Ferrari was always my favorite, but the Testarossa wasn't too shabby either - right? Thanks for responding my friend - that was nice of you.
Love, love, love this scene !!! So typical of Crockett - that quiet, ticked off mood - if he's coming for ya - you better run and fast !! Love that man !!!!
