The whole time I was thinking (Man, this could end up very bad...) XP Anyways, can you draw that bow victorian style? Or do you have to do it traditional style?

Very nice bow. I would love to know if it is a self-bow though. Did you use any backing or laminating? I'm trying to decide if ash is the right wood for me to make my own longbow. Is your bow a "D" shape or completely round?
hi, yes it's a selfbow, i don't like modern plastic bows:) Is a flatter D shaped. This material very surprised me, is a very good workable and very stiff. I can shoot over a 260m with carbon arrow with this bow. Surely You should try it. s
thanx much for kind words! It's my brand new selfmade bow so it was a horrific experience.You know... i thihk many bows there aren't as strong as their owner claims so i want to demonstrate it this way :-) see u
I am glad you are doing that with your bow and not mine! ha ha. Great video. Really gives people an idea of how much strength is required to draw one of these bows to full draw. Really enjoyed seeing something different. Nice bow too. I look forward to seeing more. Best wishes, Nick.
This video is one little string breaking away from being one hell of a ROFL video.

did old english longbows really go up to 200 lbs?
wikipedia says so. I can't find any of
" Mark Stretton currently holds the world record for shooting a 900 N (200 pound) longbow."

@Thetruthishere11
from what i understand they used to use their feet to hold the bow and both hands to pull the string back on those old longbows
