Basically I created an elliptical for the source, then used trapcode Shine to create the light ray effect. For the beam, I used particle playground and shine on that as well (So it wouldnt just look like a straight line, and more like a blast of energy) A couple of brightness changes here and there, lens flares, and tada, you get this effect! (More work than it sounds) ALSO since I was nice and told you, check out ultra64radness here on youtube!
