I am a dog trainer and have taught my dogs more than basic obedience. This was in no way cruel. lol as I was watching it..I was thinking, man I can just see the comments when the dog was faking death. LOL. if you ask me, that is one well trained dog. What this was doing was far from abuse. btw, do you see how wolf packs treat each other? Poeple...remember these are dogs! I agree with a previous comment, they can handle alot and are not like china dolls.

Most dogs love to perform! They love to please and they love the attention. If you would all just get off your lazy asses and teach them some tricks, you'd fine out too! You also can't train a dog with punishment--that doesn't work. You have to train it with rewards.

@scgirlforever96 You have no right to make those kinds of assumptions. Ive seen them train, John loves his dogs more than anything, theyre his children, they work as hard as he does and theyre partners in the show. He is a huge advocate of ASPCA and like "littleissiheartm" said, they become this talented by positive reinforcement not abuse. When the dogs have a bad day they just keep practicing or they take a break depending on the problem. There is never any kind of abuse.

@SnappyPenguins Same thing i said to "scgirlforever96". and what "littlemissiheart" said. They LOVE to perform. Dogs love to please people and get love and get attention. This is their life, and is amazing. they have a beautiful home and are treated wonderfully.

@SnappyPenguins Its called a collar, and collars and leashes are usually required by state law in public places. These dogs are happy and energetic and healthy. John treats these dogs like theyre his children. Obviously youve never had a dog anyways.

If you actually watched the show you see how happy the dogs are when they're given an instruction and they understand and can do it, do some dog research, they love pleasing and getting attention and love. That makes me want to go up to the arsehole and give them a lecture on how to treat animals and how much of an arsehole they are. My point is, there is no evidence that the dogs are enjoying dressing up in stupid costumes and running around a stage doing stupid tricks for the entertainment of humans.

omg he is clearly not hurting the dogs it takes a it more than that to hurt it.....the dog didnt look in pain...just a bit bored and little overweight (though i dont know cause i dont know what mix of breeds it is, however judging by the amount of treats they get i wdnt be surprised) however the way he picked them up...thats rally bad for them , but he didn't seem to mindd

Ok people, come on. That wasn't abuse. That's a big dog, a wolf hound mix by the looks of it. Don't you think a dog should be treated like a dog & not a china doll? They can handle more than just a dainty tug. If the dogs didn't like it, they just wouldn't do it. Dogs love to please, well, most of them, & if you notice at the end, the jack kissed the man, two or three times. By the way, that dog's a little beast with his back flips ^_^ Cutenessness in this video.

EXCUSE ME!? I work at circus circus reno and I know JR. He loves his dogs and would never abuse them. They are trained professionals both the man and the dogs.

@KiraZeroYamato BS i work there as well. he beats them like a mad man, and abuses the shit out of them. He also gets drunk then screams at them about how his life as a circus dog guy isn't so great. Then he breaks down and starts proclaiming to be god. But i dunno he seems nice enough.
