Donald's first cartoon, YAY! Of course, he doesn't have an angry outburst, but his characters has pretty much been pretty much the same every since this cartoon.

Also, Peter Pig has been a recurring character since this cartoon, though has faded into obscurity like quite a few other Disney characters. He HAS appeared in some of the first artworks for Epic Mickey, so perhaps he'll make a return in that game?

Isn't there a different ending to this one? Where Donald and Peter has to freeze through the winter (no, I'm not thinking about the grasshopper)? I clearly remember images where Donald and Peter is trying to keep warm inside their... Residencies, and when meeting up at The Idle Hour Club the whole thing falls to pieces.
