I just bought 3 of them and I LOVE them! I think you should try a darker colour Peach Satin is the darkest one I got and it is super pigmented, almost too pigmented! I love them I really wouldn't give up on them yet if I were you, if they're on sale pick up a few darker brighter shades, and i think you'll fall in love!
Very thorough review. I have been tempted to try but I think I'm going to pass. The dream mousse blushes are great tho, try to get whatever is left on sale at CVS 75% off!
I got one in coffee cake and I can barely get any pigmentation from it. I was so disappointed because I also thought it would be similar to the dream mousse blushes. I may just end up layering it under my Tarte Exposed blush which I love!
After hearing a couple of reviews I heard that the light shades in the collection weren't good because they weren't pigmented enough, but I still wanted to try the product. So when I went and got 3 of the darkest shades they offer and I like them. I got mine in Candy Coral, Hot Tamale, and Plum Wine. These colors are more pigmented and show up better. So if you were willing to give this product another try I'd recommend trying these colors instead. Hope this is a help :)
I feel the exact same way. I have tried to apply this with a brush, sponge, my fingers. I am fair skinned and I cannot get hardly any pigmentation. I really wanted this to work because they r cute and a new concept but I just didn't work out for me.
Firstly, you look beautiful! This color is very flattering on you and the makeup looks perfect! As for the blush, I have a bunch of them and the darker ones are a little more pigmented. I don't push deep on them, though. Just go around on it with the tip of my finger several times until I get enough product. That way you only end up with a slight dent and they don't get as ruined. Has been working for me. Try it and see if it works better that way. :)
you are so right about the pigmentation, but i am very very fair and these blushes are the perfect wash of color for my face. i am loving them, but i can easily see how someone with a darker skin tone would not find them easy to use
I definitely agree. I tried hot tamale & it was not bad. Wasn't too crazy about it though. I think it broke me out, because I noticed that I had tiny pimples after each use.
It isnt practical and I am not impressed either. Mostly because I am very fair in skin so it takes a lot to wear it. But I love elf blushes like that passion pink one that is a neon pink color heh.
I returned mine. I loved the color in the pan, but once I applied it to my cheeks, it was jut like a highlighter- and I'm pale. So I don't get why everyone is raving about these.
I have yet to try a cream blush and I was really tempted to try one of these but I am skeptical of the color pay off on my olive toned skin.I own one of the mousse blushes, and although I love the formulation,it's too light on me so I just use it as a highligh. Thanks for the honest review!
I really like these blushes, with the shades I have their pigmented and overall natural looking. I highly suggest you try Hot Tamale it's a gorgeous pinky red that just gives beautiful color to your face with a pretty glow :) I think its definitely going to be an awesome spring blush~
Great review! I feel the same way about them... I only bought one as well and I really wanted it to work but sadly it didn't for me and I'm fairly pale. (I bought Rose Petal) But there was a problem I had with it. Idk if it was because it was my first cream blush and I'm not applying it right, but when I applied it, it took off my foundation that I already applied off. Did you have the same problem or am I just applying it wrong?
IMO these "Bouncy" blushes are a little to gimmicky. I'd rather see Maybelline keep the Dream Mousse Blushes. It's annoying when a company discontinues good products and move to fad items that may or may not be as good.
Mine stayed in the dome shape with no mess at all. And I love the pigmentation. These are great blushes!

I have hot tamale & I think it's more pigmented. I do like to wear a powder blush over it though but that's mostly for staying power.

My CVS has the dream mousse blushes for 50%! I picked a shade up. It's kinda light but I love it and it's super easy to work with.

The darker shades are much more pigmented. This is deffinatly one of the most sheer. I love Coffee Cake and Hot Tamale.

Try using another blush on top that u may not use as often. Maybe the color combo could work. Good luck and thanks for the review!

Have you tried using a brush. Maybe a denser brush.

@riesmom11 I haven't tried a brush but I don't think it would pick up any of the product. I'll have to experiment!
