  • i am a Hawaiian Airlines fan, but i appreciate this video from American Airlines.

    USAF

  • i cant see these videos everytime i see it i cry

  • Amazing commercial it really hits the heart

  • To attempt to give to those, who give all.

  • No matter if you agree with the wars going on or not, this is a heart touching advert with a great story and message behind it. We should all unite not behind what they are doing (as some might not agree) but behind them in person, the fact that they go and do the governments dirty work no questions asked to give us a better life. The jobs they do WIILL be remembered. THANK YOU!

  • I'm afraid if I fly with american airlines :S

  • Not moved by this.

  • I sit in first class on delta it is very very clean and on aa it was crapy

  • they filmed this a DFW

  • They should give this man free First Class.

  • @IAmSmokingDank. and you don't think they aren't destroying ours country? It's called war and it's been around since man been around and it will always be around because people will never learn how to get along. Try naming me one country who doesn't destroy one another or who never fought a war.........You can't because everybody does it. My point said!!

  • @IAmSmokingDank shut up

  • *Cries*

  • I love this video. That soldier is hot! lol. Thanks to all the men and women who keep our country safe everyday. We pray for you guys and we think about yous all always. God bless you all and America.

  • @XxKissMe20Xx Thankful for what? They arent keeping us safe, they are destorying other countries.

  • ya u will be using delta aa never cleans planes

  • @am412jeep thats a lie ... aa CHANGES Seats out ever so often more less clean them after every work day

  • i guess i know what airline i'll be using from now on

  • @venghao America says thank you to you and your fellow French soldiers for your service.

  • I FREAKING LOVE THIS VIDEO. Its makes me even prouder to be a soldier

  • beautiful

  • awww

  • *Gets off the plane*

" Alright basic! here I come!"

  • America!

  • In Germany you get insulted for being a soldier by the hippies, who are everywhere in politics and authorities. Or you get insulted by people, who are just unsatisfied by their life

  • @fletcher140

Dw about it. Same thing happened to me.

  • Damn! who is cutting the onions?

  • I am a United Frequent Flyer (sorry AA, you don't have Economy Plus seating for my long legs) and I get upgraded to first-class from time to time. If I see someone in uniform waiting to board the same flight, I tell the gate agent to give my upgrade to that troop. (I'm retired Army)

  • "Thank you sir. No thank you." That gave me chills

  • ohhh chills

  • love it

  • I like it how AA shows members of each branch! Even though Im gonna be a Marine I respect any memeber who serves our country. Thank you and Semper Fi!!!

  • my arm's gonna reach out to help you by march of next year

  • after the pilot said Thank you brought tears to my eyes, cant wait to join u guys

  • Once that pilot said "No, thank you." I just lost it. My eyes are full of tears now. I love it. Thank you to the soldiers who fight for our freedom, risking their lives every single day, and some, even risking their lives just to save a fallen soldier, sometimes against all orders.

I believe this touched me so much because my older sister has enlisted in the army and I now know what it's like for the family of soldiers across the world.

  • I'm not even American and I got a little teary watching that.

  • Good commercial. It'd be nice if that's really how American Airlines felt. On my way home from Iraq for leave, the flight was delayed for mechanical reasons and they had to get a different plane. No big deal...except when we missed our connecting flight, instead of putting us up for the night, like their policy states, they said it was a luggage issue and we slept on the floor of the airport that night. No big deal to sleep on the floor, but for them to lie like that to save money is pretty sad

  • God Bless American servicemen and women for your sacrifice.

I wish i could serve with you all but being born outside the US preculdes me. you all have my respect and thanks.

  • Classy.

  • I am a cashier at a grocery store, and had an Army soldier come through to check out. The man behind him asked me to add the soldier's purchase to HIS order. I teared up when that happened. The soldier tried to argue, but the man insisted, and I did as asked. God Bless both of them. :)

  • It was a travesty how our Vietnam Vets were sometimes treated when they came home in the 60's and 70's. It's a pleasure to now see that our nation is treating our troops stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere with the love and respect that they deserve.

  • @ForeverYoung58 Not to condone the treatment that many Vietnam vets received. But the times were different. Social values were going through changes back then. I didn't have to serve as the war was winding down as I came of draft age. I was ready to volunteer if I was drafted. I rather go into something I wanted than be assigned.

  • Excellent commercial. I love any ad that gives kudos to our soldiers.

  • one of the best ads i've ever seen. i almost cried when i saw it on the plane.

  • Never saw such moving commercial. :')

  • Its a great feeling when people approach us soldiers. I would like to let everyone know its the best feelings when someone thanks us for what we do and lets us know how much we are apprechiated. We do everything to make sure America is safe and have freedom while we protect and serve the United States. Thank you for all of the people that have thanked us for our service.

  • after seeing this i started callign all my teachers sir and ma'am

  • I've watched it over and over and every time I tear up. I leave for bct in march. 89 Delta EOD.

  • Thanks for doing this ad.

  • This commercial is beyond moving.

  • This gives me chills done my back every time

  • 20 United Airlines employees dislike this vid

  • Good job AA! Thanks to all service men and Women who sacraficed his/her time and life for my freedom.

  • Some companies just get it. - Corpsman up!

  • 20 delta workers are pissed that they did not think of this first

  • I'm very impressed how america loved their soldier... I'm a french soldier, and now I'm now overseas some meber of my family, come to say me good bye to the airport, but I remember that French people didn't do anything special for us, no one look at us, some of them look at us like we are strange people, and some of them come to ask about their relatives... I want to know if French citizen like their own soldier? Good luck to all soldier all around the world we are doing a amazing job

  • @venghao thank you... when our countrie's soldiers work together, we are doing a greater good for the world... .god bless you and your family

  • @dawp25 Sure that if our countries work together, we will do a greater job, because I think that at this time, no one can work alone, even if he is the best... I hope that one day we could finish this work, and bring a peacefull world to our children.

  • @venghao Then thank you for your service, ami francais. Here in Germany we also have that problem. There is no hero's welcome for any soldiers, which is a pity...It is very touching to see how the Americans cherish and honor their brave men and women.

  • @TanjihShou

it might just be because here in america all our armed forces are on a voluntary basis, you do not have to do the job if you dont choose to,in germany (dont know in france) it is on a mantatory basis, you have to go ,like it or not, thats the big difference, thats why we honor all our men and woman that join ,follow the call of duty and sacrifice their time, family's and lifes to protect our all freedoms and liberty's

  • @Hoschi0913 In Germany it is not obligatory any more, the Bundeswehr is being reformed...But I understand your point. In the USA, it has been voluntary for a long time already. But I guess it's also up to your great attitude in the United States. You are real patriots and kind and friendly people and the way you treat your troops is fantastic. I guess in Germany, due to history, many people are biased against the military and have to start cherishing service for a good cause again...

  • @TanjihShou

didnt know that the Bundeswehr got reformed, well been 7 years since iam gone from there, but your are right we are kind and friendly (actualy to all until they prove us wrong,then...) and patriots when it comes to our service men and woman and country, our troops deserve respect for what they do,they put their lifes on the line each and every day (especialy those on the front line) for us to sit here and enjoy what we have

  • @venghao all your soldiers around the world are no community, you have the same job but the time when one of your leaders wants it, you are enemies and you would kill each other.

That´s why you don´t get respect from french people you may are a good man, you may just want to help.

But our troops are not fighting because of freedome and democracy, they are fighting for oil, for the money of few, for the power of few. The best way to do something for soldiers is to fight against war.

  • @venghao well here in america we appreciate our troops and all of our allies. So thank you for your service

  • @venghao not making fun of the french or anything, but this war hits home for everyone in america. me saying goodbye too my brother to go fight and soon ill be going over too. i already get my hand shaked and thank you's for just waiting too leave for boot camp. patriotism is the true america. we stand behind our troops and what they go threw too keep us safe.

  • @civicEJ11 Yes!!! and that's a pity that French people aren't like that with their own troops...good luck to all of our troops all around the world, now I almost really what soldier feel when they almost die...

  • @venghao I am an American US Army JROTC Cadet, when we do deployment's from where I am at the people do go, but we get a lot of protesters, Thank you for serving your country!

  • @venghao Well that sucks there guy. You and your fellow brothers deserve respect. For fighting crazy extremists, over in Afghanistan. What alot of people don't realize. Is without a sufficient military. Protecting a nation. it falls victim to various, threats around the world. The taliban would take pleasure in raiding France. Or any other caucasian nation. They think that every American is caucasian. France has one of the most disciplined Militaries ever. You guys deserve more. :)

  • United States Navy Sailor, HOOYAH!

  • i always cry when i see the video

  • Damn! I'm not American but this is really strong! Well done AA.

  • How could anyone dislike this?

  • ok this one just made me smile :)

  • This commercial gives me a little shiver every time I watch it.

  • I remember when i walked in to the airport and everyone started to clap for us and a little boy walked up to me and said thank you i really apperciate what you do and i said your welcome and smiled back proudly knowing im proud to serve my country as a united states marine.

  • >w< i honestly cry a bit everytime i see these comertials XP

  • awesome Im going to be doctor in the army

  • Who are the 20 idiots who disliked this? Not patriotic at all.

  • Comment removed

  • If you dislike this, go to Libya, Syria, Israel, Russia, China... anywhere but here. We don't want you.

  • if you know or see a servicemen or a vet, be sure to thank them this july 4th. and also everyday for their service to protect our country and freedom.

  • Awhh. :) My big brother is in the air force, and i couldnt be more proud.

  • Do they allow this (early boarding) for active duty personnel who don't have their uniforms on?

  • thats b.s support, sure i bet, American Airlines is in talks with Airbus to BUY 100 AIRBUS PLANES, SO THIS IS SUPPORT OF AMERICANS???. BOEING COULD USE AMERICAN AIRLINES SUPPORT]..YOU.GUYS SHOULD CHANGE YOUR NAME TO AIR FRANCEI.]]

  • @hotrod4you2 Well though I agree buying American produces is better for us, companies like Boeing need to be more competitive, the new engines that Airbus uses are better on fuel. So it comes down to the should we get the plane that will keep cost down or buy American and raise the ticket prices even more. So until Boeing gets off their butts Companies like AA, Delta , & the rest are going to start buying Airbus & Bombardier.

  • @hotrod4you2 Also as for buying American lets look in your house & driveway and see how many American items you own?

  • Thank you AA for putting out this great tribute. I did fly on your airline to go home and back from R&R on my last tour and was treated with respect and thanked the whole time. Thank you.

To all the haters, "I do not like what you say but I will fight to the death for your right to say it." Have a nice day!

  • @TheMagnusEffect there isn't a like button great enough for this comment or you

  • just the mere fact of so many people saying "thank you" for the small kindnesses as well as the big ones...wouldn't it be great if more people did that?

  • This is what makes aa so great. Thankyou for supporting our troops

  • One of my really good friends is in this commercial (@ 52 secs) Miss U Gabe! Hope that we can get together again this summer!

  • I love this commercial. Our servicemen and women are so respectful. It brings a tear to my eye every time I see it. :) Thank you to everyone who serves!

  • this commercial makes me sick,

  • @ruthiehensh Why? Because you know that your military can't even guard the pope?

  • @ziggyboi1995 The Pope has his own guards and 'my military' has nothing to do with his security. Sorry, yet again you have proven the lack of knowledge of Americans about anything that happens outside US. Wasn't one of your president to be shot by an idiot in 1963? Or is it President Reagan's guards that failed to protect him when somebody tried to shoot him?

  • @ruthiehensh geez i was being sarcastic

  • @ruthiehensh you make me sick.

  • Wasn't is America Airlines that charged troops extra for their bags? I'm pretty sure it was. Fuck you American Airlines. Thank you Marines, Soldiers, Airman and sailors.

  • @redsfan293 actually it was Delta. Not AA.

  • Thank you so much, American soldiers. We show our support by cutting your pay and benefits, and let you rot when you get disabled in action. And thanks for defending the freedom of the investor class to rob the third world. Win win!

  • it´s an awesome commercial!

  • If I owned an airplane company. I'd move all veterans or soldiers in duty to first class for thanking them for risking their lives everyday. Thank you..

  • Delta disliked this video because they don't support the troops

  • Don't go copying my sentence structure. If you hate me so much, be original. Jheez. Stupid yank.

  • @messi0123 LMAO

  • @spriggs20 You're only laughing because you have nothing else to say! OWNED

  • @messi0123 No I'm laughing cause your a jackass

  • How is murdering innocent people giving me rights or does the typical stupid american mentality tell you that taking rights away from innocent Iraqi's and Afghani's would give you more rights! Wake up! You don't give a shit about other peoples rights but as soon as your rights come into play it's a different story. And by the way all the words you put in capitals have no reason to be emphasised, it just makes the text you have written look even more stupid.

  • @messi0123 If that's the way you feel! Why don't you get out of our Country? I'd love to see begging to come back when you've realized that these other country's are just savagely killing our troops and each other... You have no right to say such hateful things about our troop's and this great country. BTW without our Armed Forces and Leader's of today you wouldn't have the right to say any of that! GO BACK from wherever the fuck! you came from you fuckin Taliban!

  • @TheFalloutproduction I'm not from America! Oh hell no and thank God I'm not! What I don't understand is what did the Taliban do to take away you're rights? I thought America are in Afghanistan to help the people...? And don't go talking shit about rights. You're country TERRORISES families and innocent civilians on a daily basis. They kill innocent women and children on a daily basis, they trample on human rights every day and you have the cheek to talk about rights?

  • @messi0123 Maybe you should go over and actually see what the fuck is going on you fucking moron, instead of being a fool that sits on their lazy ass and believes every little thing that CNN tells you. Or what your fucking parents told you. Just so you know American troops only shoot when fired upon. Fuckin idiot

  • @spriggs20 Mate. I don't watch CNN and you're trying to tell me that more than 1million Iraqi's were armed and fired upon american soldiers? So you're trying to tell me that mothers, young children were armed and fired upon american troops? And have you heard of helicopters and rockets? Americans are too cowardly to go onto the ground and shoot on sight. Instead they bomb from above. I also feel that you, as an american is being very hypocritical calling me an idiot.

  • I Disliked this video because i Dislike murderers

  • @messi0123 so you dislike the people that GIVE you the right to say ignorant shit like that? without THEM, you would not have that FREEDOM! YOU LOVE THEM, OR BY GOD YOU LEAVE THIS COUNTRY!

  • AA flew us from CA to NYC when we came home from Vietnam. Regardless of what they they may have thought, each of the flight crew expressed their "Thanks" for what we did....will never forget that. Outside of family and neighbors, it was the only "Thanks" I received

  • @bostonianize its not fair that some people don't show support to the troops, its sad i wasn't alive during Vietnam but i will say this . Thank you.

  • Good People deserve good things support our troops and who the hell are these people disliking this video well your pretty cute for disliking the men and women protecting you from death

  • Here I am, a 23 year old guy with tears in my eyes after watching this. Bravo American Airlines. God Bless our troops! I can't imagine how wonderful a simple "Thank you" means to a soilder.

  • @bncpaintball I thought I was the only one that was made fun of for wanting to join the military. It is actually nice to know that I am not the only one but it is still not OK. People will just never get what the military is like until they have a family member who is a part of it. My brother is a Marine my dad was a Navy Corpsman and I am a future Naval Academy Grad (HOPEFULLY!). I thank you and your family for its service and I wish you the best of luck in the Army.

  • how could those 18 people have the heart do dislike this video. theyre probably just gay 10 year olds who think its funny to press dislike

  • Was at a Chili's at MDW and asked my waitress if I could pick up the tab for a group of soldiers I saw at the other end of the restaurant. Later one of the soldiers approached my table, stood at parade rest over me and said that "(he) appreciate(d) the gesture and it was unnecessary" I had never been more humbled. He thanked ME for, what, a meal? ... while committing months of his time and potentially his life in the defense of me and my family's freedom?

  • @tkepilot what he said, is that a good thing or bad? i cant tell

  • @MrToxicheyna7 It was a very humbling thing. I didn't deserve to be thanked for a silly meal in light of the fact he puts his life on the line in defense of my freedom and the future of my family. A meal is the least I could do for him.

  • @tkepilot i would of done the same thing =] thank you also. That one little thing probably made his day to see that people actually cared! =D

  • @tkepilot That was a very generous thing you did.

  • @tkepilot They should not have taken your money for their meals. I know you meant well, but ethically they can not take things like that from individuals. On the other had if Chili's has a corporate pollicy that soldiers in uniform eat free, that is different. (I spent 26 years in the Army, retired in 1998)

  • @bncpaintball Good Luck Soldier!! I spent 12 years in the Army and am very proud of the opportunities and accomplishments. Sometime I could kick myself in the rear for getting out. I got out in 1999 with the intentions of becoming an airline pilot, but 9-11 put a damper on that, but have remained a corporate pilot. The Army will give you the tools to become successful in life--only if you use them correctly. Word of advice--set a goal and take the steps to accomplish that goal. GO ARMY!!

  • THANK-YOU to ALL OUR Troops and to those "That Made the Ultimate Sacrifice." NAVY - ARMY - AIR FORCE - MARINES

    God Bless

  • this commercial brings a tear to my eye every time. Such a simple way to show your support to people that support you everyday.

  • this commercial brings a tear to my eye every time. Such a simple way to show your support to people that support you everyday.

  • This may be, the best commercial ever made.

It is so heart felt and we should all say thank you to the men and women in uniform!

    Well done American Airlines.

    God bless our troops.

  • Excellent commercial - what these men and women go through for our country is amazing - I have the utmost respect for our armed forces.

  • may our soldiers be remembered for all of their support...... for all the soldiers out there we thank you....ALL GAVE SOME-SOME GAVE ALL......THANK YOU...... marine core, navy, air force, army veterans......

  • THE best commercial I have ever seen

  • The commercial is good, but it's the first part of the caption that struck me wrong. "It's our turn"? We shouldn't take "turns" to thank our servicepeople. We should all thank them every day. Also, don't forget the difference between Memorial Day and Veteran's Day.

  • @wayneparris911 It was saying that, they thank us and do so much for us. So we should all thank them... It wasn't like take turns thanking them...

  • @AdWhois I know--it's just the way they worded the caption.

  • Good luck to you bncpaintball. And I agree with you paintballah they need to be shot!

  • great commercial

  • @bncpaintball dude I know just what you mean. I got laughed at all the time in High School for applying for NROTC in college. Well now I'm laughing cause I got a free education and an assured job after I graduate.

  • Nicely done!

    Thank you.

  • To American Airlines: thank you for showing us exactly how easy it is to say a basic thank you to the many men and women who put their lives on the line for us all the time. A small thank you for sometihng not even related could mean even more. To US Armed Forces - thanks for your quiet service and dedication, and for not holding it against us for all those times when we "forgot" to say - clearly - Thank you.

  • I couldnt help smiling and feel the chills. A salute to those serving any country as long as they are doing good

    Capt. Richard

    Civil Air Patrol USAF

  • the 15 people who disliked this are probably terrorist

  • @moderngod1 or just thinks AA sucks.

  • @mrpilot102 haha i think they kind of do a bit

  • Very nice.

  • <3

  • 15 people dont have a heart & dont appreiate everything the Army does for this country! HooRah! <3

  • I walked into the airport with my Uniform on!! Going to Iraq everyone clapped i had a little kid come up and salute me! I couldn't help it and did the same back to him!! OORAH!

  • @TheLilrapstar

thank you for surving in our cuntry

  • @TheLilrapstar i always get emotional when i see the videos like these buteverytime i travel to a place with america airline a soldier always came on the plane

  • @TheLilrapstar Thank you for your service. It is much appreciated.

  • A great commercial from a great company!

  • this made tears come up its so happy

  • this is so toching thank you all soilders:)

  • Each time I watch this, I get chocked up..

  • This is so touching. I love AA

  • this is a great commercial

  • i love AA commercials... they're just great!

  • I am so proud to be an American soldier.

  • @jaredth2011 and we're all proud of you. thank you.

  • @jaredth2011 hell yeah i love being a soldier its an honor to serve with you battle

  • I have a friend who came back from Iraq. I was talking to him about going back into society, and he said that every time he talked to someone, he kept referring to them as sir, and he said he felt like a dumbass because they would just stare at him like "WTF"?
