india reallly doesnt need to buy any weapon. they just have to put IIT graduates and billions of dollars at work and in next 10 years america will be buying from India. but the fact is that the politicians WANT to depend on america so that they can get bribe or rip some money off during the trade.. quite saddenning...
@babanachiket guys..research on weaponry take time to develop a Javelin Anti-Tank Guided Missile..so it best to buy for now and also we must start developing its higher version now for the future of India..!!
@kafirstunner666er: We have developed NAG anti-tank missile which is better than Javelin(though not as portable)...but you're right technological research does take time, considering we have to start from scratch since we don't have decades old infrastructure, also the government prohibiting(not encouraging) private sector participation just adds to our woes...its time to lose our self righteous attitude and be more practical.

If they pay scientist well and give them freedom to think and experiment i know India would not have these problems. The FGM-148 Javelin could destroyed the weak part of tank which is top tank or turret where troops come out. Also the FGM-148 Javelin penetrate over 600mm on tanks armour & range of 2,500. The FGM-148 Javelin could destroyed any best armour & Modern Tanks in the world.
